Hello,
I’m sorry my information didn’t help you. All cloud templates can be edited with tagDiv Composer, but the footer template is a “special” template and it must be set on a page or post to be edited. This is how it was thought by our developers.
I made this video https://www.screencast.com/t/RIiMguPz that hope will help you.
For mobile header please make sure you have set it => https://www.screencast.com/t/CatmDmTt also if you can please send the link to your website.
If you have a mobile page, you can assign a global footer like this https://www.screencast.com/t/gnBHgveUGq
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately, you can’t customize the Posts Loop (“Latest articles and sidebar”) with tagDiv Composer.
To make changes for this block please check his section => https://www.screencast.com/t/O97DU6gSSa -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
or you can import another template for the homepage => https://www.screencast.com/t/3YBXDcaSdgP
Thank you!
Hello,
I am new to the theme and have three questions for starters. 🙂
1)
A can’t seem to figure it out how or where do I set page content width. I would like it to have 1200 px or 1400 px wide content section on main page and also on post sub-pages (landing pages of articles).
I tried to change width in settings in newspaper theme panel under LAYOUT SETTINGS -> template settings -> page template -> PAGE LAYOUT SIZE, but nothing changes in front end of main/home page after saving.
Do I need to change row-width in tagDiv composer manually or do I missing something?
2)
Can I edit prebuilt big grid flex elements to add more posts in it? For example I have big grid flex 5 element and I would like to add more of picture elements that lead to post pages.
3)
How can I add AD banner to post? So it could be in post content section between text content or under/above it?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Peter
Hello!
Please make sure you have Standard Pack plugin active and installed.
In order to edit a page/post with TagDiv Composer you need to use a PRO/cloud template and not a default one. For more information about TagDiv Composer, please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you!
Thanks Vlad and Bettina for suggesting the Cloud library template route. The effort was made to recreate the current site header using the imported template. The problem with this mega-menu is that it opens a large page and you cannot scroll down to see all the categories, so this option also does not work for me.
I do think however there ought to be a way to set this subcategory count in the global theme, is it possible to escalate this request to the theme developers? They will know the variable to access to change this subcategory count number via the functions file.
enjoY a fantastic day!
Hello,
The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple), so can improve your page speed.
The mobile editor can be found at the bottom of every page when editing https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Regarding the AMP, this is the opinion of my colleague, but there is currently no official announcement.
Thank you!
Hi all, there are several problems with this Newspaper 11
First of them is this:
I have “menu 1” and “menu 2”.
I have set in mobile settings “menu 1” for all the site, but in some post and in some category the “menu 2” appears instead of “menu 1″… I went in Theme panel under Category settings, there I have all the same settings for all categories. Moreover, I have the same template for all posts…
You can see the test where I’m working on, navigate with smartphone please:
Link to site
Problem #2
I have set a mobile homepage, but it doesn’t work. I can edit it with tagdiv composer and I can see it in tagdiv composer, but it doesn’t appear in mobile frontend. I can only see the desktop homepage.

How to make the latest posts by pages (pagination or load more) in the home template? (like traditionally wordpress home page with newest post with pagination)
If I get in wordpress settings new post not static “home” for home page – the newest post, unfortunately, it does not appear as I would like (for example, posts do not have auto excerpt)
I installed a Pre-designed Template from the tagDiv Cloud Library. I’m not sure which one I installed. I renamed it.
I have the following page on my site: https://www.wheredoitakethekids.com/categories/places/. I would like to display a custom field next to each “summary post.” Basically I want to display an address under each title.
I was assuming I needed to modify a “specific” page like td_block_big_grid_flex_3.php. When I click on the element to edit it, all I see is (row -> column -> Posts Loop).
Hello,
Is not an issue, this is how this template was designed.
The footer template does not have the button to be edited with tagDiv Composer in the backend, the footer can be edited only from the frontend if it is assigned, edit a page/post template with tagDiv Composer and go down to the footer. => https://www.screencast.com/t/rpfNhfyrF that page can be private.
You can customize it with tagDiv Composer => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE51MfLV7hE
Thank you!
Hello,
I checked your website and seems you have a mobile responsive version =>https://www.screencast.com/t/WFCL5ovzg8L0 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qT1OSXnfa0k
Also, if you create a mobile page, please make sure you assign it like this https://www.screencast.com/t/lektAhyjd

Thank you Vlad, the reason I am still using the global template is that we are running a live site serving ads and 4 of these are in the Global Header position / 3. The menu is part of this Global header. For some reason, when I open my HOME page with TagDiv composer, there is no option found to edit the menu area. Am I missing something – we are using a child-theme.
Hi garimanag,
Unfortunately, your screenshots are not working.
We also have live website with images and we do not have those problems, now indeed maybe are not the bet optimize and the website page speed depends on more elements, for page content, ads, external resources …
First, I want to make sure that I was able to inform you of all info about the mobile versions that our theme can have.
1. Responsive version, this is by default when you install the theme and you do not use mobile page or mobile theme plugin.
2. Mobile page/template this allows you to create with tagDiv Composer and cloud a different layout and set different elements for mobile and iPad/tablet and it will overwrite the responsive version.
3. Mobile theme plugin, this is a light theme version for mobile that will overwrite the mobile page and responsive version if enabled.
So when you have a mobile page/template this will be used instead of a responsive version, but if you also have the mobile theme enabled, this one will override both of them.
How to combine them? Yes, this can be possible, for example the mobile page/template will apply only on that page or cloud template that is assigned. But what to do if you want to use a mobile theme plugin too? If you use mobile theme, in Gutenberg editor it is an option to disable the mobile theme in current post/page, if you use the option, then it will be use the mobile page/template (if is assigned) or the responsive version.
So in your case you can disable the mobile theme on the homepage -> https://i.imgur.com/NX57q4t.png or if you do not want it at all, disable the plugin or use it only for amp -> https://i.imgur.com/Grlz5Ee.png.
Here is also a video that explains all those -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope this will help you!
Hi CHKSN,
If I understand correctly, for you the mobile theme plugin is displaying on desktop, if is so, then indeed this is from the cache plugin that you are using, some for theme do not have support for mobile themes, some of plugins that do have are: WP Super Cache plugin, WP Rocked plugin.. Please make a test without cache plugin and see if the problem persist or not, if the problem is solved, then you need to check if your cache plugin have mobile theme support.
Also if you want, we can take a look at your website, for this please make a full backup and contact us at contact@tagdiv.com, provide wp-admin and cPanel access, also include the link of this topic in email.
Thank you!
I would like to know if it is possible to add the ACF shortcode (img src=”[acf field=’2nd_feature_image’]”)to the single post cloud template to display ACF fields? This code works perfectly within the actual post, just not when adding to the cloud template. I am wanting to add a second Feature image and have that image display in the post instead of the standard WP feature image. This way the default feature image will display for the post thumbnails on pages and the ACF 2nd Feature image will display in my actual post. This is due to horizontal images do not display well when displaying on a page with a 4:6 proportion image placeholder. If this is not possible. Does your team have a plugin recommendation that will add the 2nd Feature image that will work with your cloud templates? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Hi,
1. The mobile theme I have set for my website is not the one that is showing. It doesn’t even have the footer or side widgets that my desktop version does. I have tried changing the settings but it just won’t change.
2. Page Speed- Page speed is ok because I have literally stripped off every widget from my website. I am not even using full-size images, just a post block without the ‘load more’ button. I had to remove almost every block from the home page to make it load a bit faster.
3. I am using version 11.1, PHP 7.4, All my plugins are updated yet the speed test constantly shows low scores with tons of theme-related issues since I purchased the theme.
” tagDiv Composer has a negative impact on your performance metrics and should be removed or replaced. Overloads your site with CSS and JavaScript making a negative impact on your performance. The recommendation is to use the default WordPress block editor if you want a fast site”
“The newspaper has a negative impact on your performance metrics and should be removed or replaced.”
3. Even on a single post page I had to remove the featured images as it was negatively impacting the page load time.
The mobile theme template is showing some other version though
Basically, my site is just text right now. My main concern is the mobile theme which is constantly showing errors in the speed tests. I tried fixing it but somehow desktop version and mobile version are different.
I have a Travel and lifestyle blog. Not using images is NOT an option for me. ( Using Smush plugin for optimizing images) I need a fast-loading and responsive theme.
Ok. I will use another template for a single post and footer to be able to work with TagDiv Composer… On the other hand, I`m not sure I follow all this with console & ads not found… For the first time use ads on my site, all I needed to do was paste the code in the right place… Can you please provide detailed instructions how to set back again google ads on my page?
Thank you!
Hello,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, 404 etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple).
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories page/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.
Thank you!
Hello,
So I understood you use the mobile theme plugin and AMP plugin, right?
The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple).
This can be found at the bottom of every page when editing https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
For example, to create a contact page you can use only the elements from the mobile editor (so you can only add the elements that are present in the toolbar, without shortcodes(blocks) and the shortcode for the contact form (if you copy-paste the code will not work).
You can check this video about the Newspaper theme version on mobile -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Thank you!
Hello, any idea how to edit/design/arrange Custom Post Categories page?
I know Cloud templates are not availible for such content for now, but is there any solution for fix this now?
My custom post categories pages are completly out of control: in the full width of the page without keeping any order and harm… it looks awful but this is already indexed by Google so I can’t hide it.
Please help me with this
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Maybe this is just a misunderstanding of theme options, depends on the elements you use.
For example if you use a standard header style, the menu can be assigned from here -> https://i.imgur.com/pW8fSLL.png also from here -> https://i.imgur.com/dfzh9Nm.png and using the responsive version, the menu will apply for mobile too.
Now if you use the mobile theme plugin, then the menu need to be set from here -> https://i.imgur.com/z6t9Ig2.png also in appearance> menu will appear -> https://i.imgur.com/ftDSPlz.png (if you not set the menu in one of those places, then you’ll not have a menu for mobile theme and amp).
Now if is a cloud header for desktop, mobile and mobile page/template, then you need to set it with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/KYzV9l4.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/ZY3JFx8.png and (mobile page/template)-> https://i.imgur.com/OxC2eOR.png -> https://i.imgur.com/HM24lMM.png
I hope this will help you to understand better how the menus are working with our theme.
Thank you!

Please make sure to use our newest tool called tagDiv CSS Analyzer which comes in handy to resolve some of your issues. Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
We tested our tool on our demos, and we have such great results!
Take a look at this topic because it could help you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/css-analyzer-step-by-step-and-doubts/
Also, please set width on the logo https://i.imgur.com/oSUDVIU.png or try to remove and add it again.
For mobile, you can use a mobile theme plugin or mobile page, which can help to have a better score for mobile, you can find more information in these articles

Also, you can try to optimize your images, for example, you can use the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize
Thank you!
Hello,
The page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
I just checked your website and it looks that your images used on the map => https://www.screencast.com/t/YK8KTa7qT are not optimized, for example, you can use the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize, but I am not sure if it works on the images from this map (you can contact the authors of the plugin and ask how you can set the height and width on images if you succeed then you will have a better score). Your website needs an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
– https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
Also, you can try to update on a staging website or subdomain the theme to version 11 and try our tool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.
For mobile, you can use a mobile theme plugin or mobile page, you can find more information in these articles
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

Hello!
It seems that you use Mobile Theme plugin.
If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.
A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
In our theme you can use TagDiv Composer to easily edit your pages.
For more information about it check our tutorial right here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi bwyatt, please try to not make more the one topic about the same problem, also please try to not reply multiple times in the topic if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest. -> https://i.imgur.com/PRwWY3a.png
The image is set twice because the first one is the featured image of the post, and the second one represent the image set at the beginning of the post.
I think that most of your posts are like this, therefore, the easy solution will be to remove the featured image, for this edit the single post template with tagDiv Composer and use the right click to remove the single featured image -> https://i.imgur.com/qLBwjca.png -> https://i.imgur.com/eMrGvkh.jpg
I hope this will help you!
Hi mixos,
I will tri to provide some more details.
First you need to check to see if you are using cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/7qcHcsv.png
If you use, identify the cloud templates that you edited and copy the content from them (one by one) from staging -> https://i.imgur.com/Wo4yp58.png and pasty it in the same cloud template type (header, footer, category..) in your live website.
Also if you edited pages on staging, then you need to do the same with them t get the changes on live website.
Now, after you did the above steps (in case that you use cloud templates, if you use standard templates you’ll not have cloud templates, so you can skip that part), you need to import the theme settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/ after that the website will have the same settings like the staging.
Also if you added new images, make sure that you add theme on the live website.
I hope this will help better!
