This is talking about page template. You have the latest articles to the bottom of the page because you are using the pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination page template. So, if you want to get rid of this feature you will have to switch to another page template (default or pagebuilder+page title). I have checked you website and I saw that you are using an older version of Newspaper (v. 6.7). Please try to update your theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.1.1) because was fixed the problem with ‘NO COMMENTS’ bar, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/LynTAaMwZ4i and then, if you want to allow the comments for all you users, please check these settings to be activated, like so -> http://screencast.com/t/sBmooT86 -> http://screencast.com/t/duJEW58vJ and also, your will have to use the page template default to bring the comments form.

I have just installed Newpaper 7.7.1. It automatically installed Visual Composer 4.9.2. When I create a new page and click on Backend Editor I get a list of the available templates, but no templates to view or select. Your earlier comments on similar problems tells the user to upgrade to the latest version of Visual Composer, which is 4.11.x. However, elsewhere you make the point that the user cannot upgrade Visual Composer, that you will provide the upgrade in a revision of the Newspaper theme itself. I purchased this theme for, among other reasons, the extension templates available. It doesn’t work. What do I do?

I’m followed the links available and appreciate that it will not show in plugins as needs to be separately unzipped before it will display on my dashboard.
However, the .zip file for Slider Revolution did not unpack from the original .zip for Newspaper 7 at all; manual searches for the .zip file have come back empty. In fact, the very first root explained in your linked page (Newspaper-tf) doesn’t exist either, I simply have a base folder called “Newspaper” with “images”,”includes”, “js”, “parts”, “translation”, “vc_templates” and “woocommerce” as the folders within this base folder.

If you want to change the order for your page template, you will have to alter the code from the core file in order to achieve as you wish. First of all, please4 notice that you will have to use the pagebuilder+latest articels+pagination template and then you will have to use the do_shortcode method to add your popular block (set your block to display the popular all time from the Block Settings) in page-pagebuilder-latest.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/DSd3qCGu and then your will have the Latest Articles displayed on your top of the page and then will be this type of block which you set it by Popular all time sorting on the bottom of the page. I have a few questions about the way categories display on posts.
1. Can the categories show up at the bottom with the tags? Should I make a child theme and alter the post template there? Or is there a better way to do it?
2. When I check off sub-categories on a post, the category that it’s inside shows up in the category list as well, even if it’s not checked off. How do I get only categories/sub-categories I check in the post to show up?

I want to make a fullwidth homepage with visual composer. I used the Template “pagebuilder + page title”. If i insert one of your predefined blocks, they span only 66%. Is it possible to send you login data private.
I found a big error in the Newspaper template that disqualify this template for use on the news pages.
The <article> section is used in wrong way. Section <article> includes all content on the page: article, sidebar and comments.
When you add a page to the Google News you will frequently receive error: Article too long.

I would like to remove the sidebar on this page that is made by “The Event Calander” plugin.
Here there are no option to set a “custom layout setting”
And all the sub-pages that are generated for each event. I.e:

I know the easy solution would be to set the default page layout to full width in the page template section.
But doing this will cause another issue for me as I need the sidebar to show on pages under our closed forum (that is using memberpress to keep it closed). And on those pages I have the exaxt same problem where even if I set a different custom layout nothing changes from the default.
Suggestions?

This happens on the default template. It depends on the page template you use. The default template will show title and breadcrumbs only if the page builder is not used. If you want to have title and breadcrumbs when using visual composer, please change the template to page builder + page title from here: http://screencast.com/t/BdUE89aB0cl9

I was wonder if it was possible to create a page that’s called “Health Guides” and use VC to build out a template. But I would only want to show Pages that are subpages of the Health Guides..
So I currently have Site.com/health-guides/ and all my guides go after that..
For Example:

Site.com/health-guides/topic-2-info
Site.com/health-guides/topic-3-info
Site.com/health-guides/topic-4-info
Is it possible to have that main Health Guides page to be built out like the homepage, but only display the sub-pages under Site.com/health-guides/ ?

VC is the worst designed, least intuitive product I’ve ever used in the history of web development. And without support or updated documentation or videos I can’t see (they set them not go full screen) it’s impossible to use.
1) How do I filter for multiple post types and/or categories in 1 block? You finally explained how to pull 1 custom post, but I can’t filter for 1 CPT category, a Post and CPT category, or a selection of Posts and CPTs in one block
2) Reusable blocks – I totally don’t understand how to reuse them if I want to update them in one place only. So I create a block, set the filters. Then I want to use said block on multiple pages – but want to update it next month in ONE place only? You’d think TEMPLATES would do this. But you can’t edit a template?????? That’s insane. Is it possible to create “includes” or templates with the blocks that are editable – and centralized?
VC is fairly useless and they offer no current instructions on anything. It’s a shame Newspaper theme depends entirely on such a poor, tedious product. The blocks you’ve designed look great – but I can’t use them.
Sorry another VC question. Let’s say I create an element in VC. Like a Block 1 on two Columns…I add all my filters and get it just right, etc. Now I want to use that same block on another page. Do I save that section as a template?

There is no ideal image size I can recommend. You will have to asses the containers and thumbs you plan on using on your site and the post templates as well. if you use post templates that use the full size images like: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-2015-awards-all-of-the-best-and-worst-moments-from-the-show/ then a full had image is required. If not, you need to inspect every element especially on the homepage. If you use big grids, your images must be at least the size of the big grid container otherwise they will not fit inside and not display properly. Here is a list of all thumbs used in our theme:

The theme does not control the excerpts displayed by google. Even if you don’t use excerpts google will make it’s own excerpts for your site.
On our demo we use a static page as homepage. I’t a page built with Visual Composer. On your site you’re using blog template which cannot be customized with Visual Composer, you can only chose what module to use for posts layout: http://screencast.com/t/ZOXznRQFw1

The pages are not able to render the featured image and also pages cannot display as posts. They are 2 very different things. A post is customized from the post settings by selecting a predefined post template, but pages can be edited in visual composer so you have access to lots of elements that posts cannot display like blocks, big-grids, sliders and all visual composer elements.

I am having troubles with VC. All plugins installed then while editing pages, I don’t see the templates and VC elements as shown in the demo videos. I just see the templates in a drop down way, not in a visual way, but even if I select any template, it then just keep ‘loading….’ forever.
Then I uninstalled, deleted all the plugins. I didn’t have any other 3rd party ones. So then I only installed VC and I get – Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=328024 in /home/mostwa7/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1813
Plugin activated successfully.
Edit: Now my VC seems working but I still don’t see templates in a visual form. Only text drop down.
Any tips?
