Hello!
You can apply a filter using an element by editing a category with TagDiv Composer plugin.
For example if you have a PRO/cloud template you can add the element called “Posts Loop”, where you can filter the posts you want from that category with the “Sort order” option.
And if you have the default template, then you have an option in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Categories -> Category global settings -> Category pull-down filter.
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
When adding custom post types to my template they use the default theme template (wp-content/themes/Newspaper/loop-single.php) file instead of the themes post template.
This includes a very different layout and does not include a header image or sidebar or sharing tools or a lot of the other stuff related to the basic post template. Note that it is not using the template set in Post Settings -> Default post template (site wide) but rather a generic template set in the theme.
I have tried many different settings in the theme panel under Posts Settings ->Custom Post Types and Under CPT & Taxonomy for each post type.
Ideally the ability to create a custom cloud template for each post type or at least inherit the default template.
I know WordPress and how to make a custom child template file single-customposttype.php but then I will end up writing a lot of code just to make it inherit stuff form the main template file, like share buttons, colour coded categories …etc.
Hello!
The only way is to add an element by TagDiv Composer called “Posts Loop”, and you will have in General tab a setting called “Sort Order”. From this list, you have the option called “Popular(all time)”.
Unfortunately, Flex Block element haven’t that option for that.
Thank you!
Hello,
Posts Loop don’t have the option to filter by tags, has only these filters => https://www.screencast.com/t/qdVUKSWiXgyj.
You can set the filter tag on the blocks, flex block => https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ and big grid flex => https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/ https://www.screencast.com/t/TLK28UfUiM2
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
I want to amplify my tags page by showing a post loop or flexbox of posts having a particular tag only but I believe there is no such option available.
Can you guide me regarding this?
Hi alohawithlove,
For use the tagDiv Composer you need to change the post page (set as blog) in Select from WordPress -> Settings -> Reading => https://www.screencast.com/t/MAynTW4Bam0.
After that, you need to create a new page(you can name it a blog) =>https://www.screencast.com/t/jB10hPU5Jk8c, where you add with tagDiv Composer a Posts Loops, which have the same structure as blog => https://www.screencast.com/t/xXbzitxm7XYR,
where you can change the settings.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hello!
Please edit the homepage with TagDiv Composer, add a “Posts Loop” element and you will get the latest articles.
Let me know about your results!
Thank you!
Hello,
You can make this pagination use the tagDiv Composer => https://www.screencast.com/t/90N6aAgis, add element -> Posts Loop => https://www.screencast.com/t/ZrbBCTH6kx0, to set the type of pagination you need go in General -> Pagination => https://www.screencast.com/t/Ps63VzBqyT3, you have more options like to show or hide the name author or something else in Layout => https://www.screencast.com/t/1egmaHcZe,
or change the title text color in Style =>https://www.screencast.com/t/JQtPHtGp6tUz .
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hello?
I want to change the modified date of the widget, post loop, and all the posts to the ‘ago’ format.
So I tried the code below,
In this way, The modified date for all articles is displayed as the modified date for the last article.
It may appear that the date of each post is not properly called.
Is there any difference in the newspaper theme ‘the_modified_time’?
Could you tell me what the problem is with this?
Thank you.
function my_post_time_ago_function() {
$lastmodified = get_the_modified_time('U');
return human_time_diff($lastmodified,current_time('U')).('ago');
}
add_filter( 'get_the_modified_date', 'my_post_time_ago_function' );
add_filter( 'the_modified_date', 'my_post_time_ago_function' );
I changed the upper element (top 3 posts) of this Category to Category Grid 1 but unable to change the remaining set of post to the same Category Grid 1. The element that appears is Post Loop.
1. Is it possible to set this Category to display as Category Grid 1 or other similar?
Please see this video https://d.pr/free/v/PY8qoC
I am using “Posts Loop” Content in TagDiv composer.

I want only Photoshop Preset category posts to be shown on this page. How to solve this?
Thanks but
1. How do I replace the post loop with a flex block? Will this flex block pick up the Agent Snapshots posts?
2. I placed the above css code in Custom code, deleted cache but did not correct image?
Please advise
Hello all,
we have a site running Newspaper 10.3.9.1 on top of wordpress 5.6. It works like a charm.
However, for posts with custom types created using the Pods plugin I’ve run into a small issue and I’m a bit lost. When accessing any one of those they are displayed using wp-content/themes/Newspaper/loop-single.php instead of wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/loop-single.php like the rest of the content. I checked by editing both files and adding a custom marker inside.
Is there any way to make posts of these custom types use the standard template? I can create a small child theme and put the loop-single.php file from the standard pack there, and while that works it seems like a bad hack.
Thanks
Hello,
since my update to PHP 7.3.25, I have this error under some posts:
Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /home/…/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/loop-single.php on line 374
https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/5814365/05a44b91381cd68b872c56d00812ae43
What can I do?
Best regards,
Matt
I am using “Post Loop” block at Blog page. And I am having blog category for my blog posts (Having other categories too for other purpose like document etc.). I didn’t find any filter to choose the ‘blog category’ in “Post Loop” block options. Can you please help me how can I do this?
Is it possible to have banners automatically after avery 5 articles in the categories, but with our own template to create?
Hi,
The problem with search results page: this situation can appear when is set an offset in the cloud templates, please edit it with tagDiv Composer and check if there is an offset on posts loop element -> https://imgur.com/WE37H6O -> https://i.imgur.com/1csC6yd.png
Also I think that the same is with the cloud tag page, edit it -> https://i.imgur.com/INApxkC.png -> make sure that you remove the offset number and let an empty field -> https://i.imgur.com/URofmxX.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

I have in same category: “Posts Loop” and “Posts Loop 2”
My “Posts Loop 2” was set to Limit post number = 4
Therefore anything I changed in “Posts Loop” did not work and after saving changed back to 4 in limit posts.
Is there any way to have different Limit post numbers to work in two different post loops on the same page/same category.
Thank you!!!
So my “posts loop” – named Recently Posted Articles has 4 posts per page. https://imgur.com/dlJsxN4
With tagdiv composer I change it to 6 (or any other number) https://imgur.com/44zaR82 and it does show change inside composer that everything is fine.
I click save and close composer and it is again 4 posts per page.
Hi,
Normal you need to use a different row for posts loop and that row should not have that option enable, but the rest of rows from the page content yes, in this way all the rows except the one with posts loop will be removed and when you’ll be on page to, you’ll see only the posts from pagination.
Thank you!
Hello Team,
I’m using “Posts Loop” field on category pages with settings as below:
Limit post number: 12
Offset posts: 0
Sort order: Latest
Pagination: normal numbered
On first page everything looks OK, but unfortunately when I choose another page: 2, 3, 4, etc., it displays exactly the same articles as on the first page. How can I fix that?
Thanks in advance for help.
Hi bookman53, if you are using a cloud template is possible to have set on the row with the loop posts to hide the row on pagination -> https://i.imgur.com/xjbVxja.png -> https://i.imgur.com/sL05OEF.jpg if this is selected and the post loop is in the same row this will be hidden when you’ll change the page.
Please check this and let me know!
Hi isilin, what template are you using standard or cloud template? because if is a cloud template you need to edit it with tagDiv Composer. Please provide a link and some more details about the settings that you’ve made.
Thank you!
Hi, if you are using a pro demo, then you can use tagDiv Composer, edit the cloud template from cloud library and change the number of posts.
If is a default category template, then the number of posts from the loop can be change only global from here -> https://i.imgur.com/haLY6eE.png
Hope this will help you!
