Please use the WPBakery Page Builder only on pages that are created with it, do not use the WPBakery Page Builder on pages build with tagDiv Composer, this will cause issues.

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.

When you’ll be updating the theme, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the theme functionality you’ve previously used.

The Newsmag theme update brings a change for the theme implementation. When you’ll be updating to the Newsmag 4.9 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newsmag theme functionality you’ve previously used. Regarding the issue, note that the old API plugin will not work anymore. You can use the new creative plugin for this purpose – https://forum.tagdiv.com/developer-info/

After the 9.7 update many of the theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer, due to the new Envato requirements
– https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
As a consequence the child theme is quite limited now, only a few theme files can still be used in it ( functions.php and style.css ).

Also please make sure that you do not overwrite the theme when you make the update, please delete the current theme and only after that install the new version of theme.

Hi,

We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

If you are using child theme, you need to replace the child theme that you are using with the one that came with Newspaper v9.7.3, or you can edit the functions.php from 1001 to 11 and it should work: https://image.prntscr.com/image/LJgOPaseQeWx88hn-pSKGQ.png just make sure that you clear all cache after you make those changes.

Sorry for misunderstanding, seems I didn’t catch that. Does it happen regardless of YouTube video used? If it does, it could be caused if the server is using an older PHP version. Try using versions 7, 7.1 or 7.2. Also these PHP extensions should be active
