Hi,
We recommend to use PHP 7 or 7.1 in most cases and if possible. If you could provide admin access to the website where this is happening we could take a look. cPanel will also be helpful. We may need to deactivate plugins for testing.
If this is possible, send us the information at contact@tagdiv.com and include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
As a note blank pages in the composer could be solved by entering the code provided at the bottom of the requirements guide in the htaccess file
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It solved many similar cases.
Thanks
Hi,
You could start by checking if the theme requirements are met
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
We recommend a value of 256M for the wp-memory, which should be enough for most websites. If you already checked this, the next step to investigate would be plugins. Deactivate them all except theme plugins and check again.
In case you already tried these suggestions, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, cPanel will also be helpful. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
I cannot create a new page with Newspaper 9.5
This is what I have done to fix it:
- I have worked with my hosting provider to make sure that we meet all of the system requirements. Everything in System Status is Green.
- I have tried another theme. I tried 2019 and that works properly.
- I uninstalled Newspaper 9.5 and reinstalled it
I can provide an Admin login for support.
Thank you
John

Hi,
when I switch to PHP 7.x all the pictures on the site were missing and if I try to edit a page I only see a white page.
All the parameters for php.ini are set according to the described requirements for newspaper.
I have the problems on 2 differnt sites, one with newspaper 9.5 and one with an older 9.x version. The problem is the same with php 7.14 and 7.31 running under IIS and plesk.
Thanks for your help.
Andreas

Hi,
This usually happens when you have too little WP memory. Usually it is the default 40mb. You need to increase this to 256mb and also increase the php memory by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure you use this guide and increase your memory allocation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
if this does not fix the issue, you can upload the theme via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hi,
That could mean the wp-memory is exhausted, we recommend a value of 256M. This would be enough for most websites. Please check the theme requirements guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Most likely increasing the wp-memory and the other parameters mentioned in the guide will solve the problem.
Thanks
