The issue is caused by not having anything in the ‘twitter username’ for Post settings > Sharing. I still have no idea why it defaults to Nathan Fox if none is entered.

Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. There could be a plugin conflict that is preventing the likes from being red. Please also make sure you follow this guide for facebook sharing: https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/

I have checked your website and I saw that you do not use the classic structure for a post with Featured Image. As I can see, you are using some untested plugins which bring your photo on your post page. I have tested your post URL with Facebook Debugger, I have scraped again your post and then the sharing seems to work as properly as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/jvYyhYEc02M and the result here-> http://screencast.com/t/w5sXmV95z
On the future, please try to set a featured image for each post because the Facebook will bring this when the post is sharing on the Facebook. Also, please notice that our theme is not tested with this type of plugin and to avoid some errors that may appear in theme, please try to disable all the untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Please note that our theme does not have any control over the Facebook sharing, but only the Seo Yoast plugin. If you do not use it, try to instal and then you will have to read our documentation about Facebook Sharing in this regard, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/ and also, you can check here -> https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-wordpress-seo-by-yoast/ Try to clear all your caches and check the results.

it’s doing it on all page.. i want to move on with my life but posting on mobile is a hassle.
only 1 image on post but it’s getting 2. if you post a lot on facebook you’ll understand what im talking about. the main reason why i want that out is because thousands of people are sharing our links and i don’t want them to be sharing it like that. it decrease the reach
the problem is sharing it directly to facebook and not from clicking the share

1. There’s no cdn and I am on a budget server so no control over server caching as well. I use wp super cache and that has been setup as mentioned in your documentation.
2. Thank you for sharing the code. It removed the About section but I can still see the logo in footer :/
Also, can you share the name of plugin you guys use to further improve page speed i.e. minifying files?

I have discovered that if I open this file:
/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_block.php
and comment out this line:

return '';

.. then I able to save VC pages without error.
I wonder if anyone else has this error? Or perhaps something unique to my environment. Anyway glad I am able to fix this way, for now. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your solution here. The theme was not tested with EWWW Image Optimizer plugin and we can’t guarantee that will work fine with it. When you’re using an untested plugin there is a chance to appear some conflicts because the implementations are different in most cases.

After the installation of Newspaper Theme, I installed the default demo content that came along with the theme.
But the issue is, share icons are not working properly. Especially the share feature with facebook icon. When facebook share button is clicked, it just pulls in the domain name of my website to be shared, No image of post,heading of post, short content, or writer’s name is shared while sharing.
I tried sharing it by adding new post too. still issues persists.
Steps I took: Reformatted the WordPress installation several times thinking it may be a plugin issue. But currently I haven’t installed any plugins other than the plugins that came along with the Theme. So it is obvious that no plugin issues.
Need help!!!

If you want to move the social sharing top widget, you must edit the theme files and move the code further down the page. There is no setting in the theme for this. Every post style has it;s own file so you have to make this modification for every post style that you use on your site. http://screencast.com/t/vtXfJf9H
