Hi guys – we are trying to add sharing buttons (like on a post) on a page we built using TD Composer – https://www.deeperblue.com/coronavirus-pandemic/ – however we can’t seem to find a way to do that. What options do we have?

Yes, now is displaying the featured image, if you want to display one image for all posts sharing, you’ll need to use Yoast SEO and set the filed from Yoast SEO for social -> https://i.imgur.com/wuRB5SZ.png unfortunately you need to do this for all posts, there is no general option for this only if you do not have set a featured image on posts -> https://i.imgur.com/ydgulYk.png

I would like to have my logo ‘favicon’ to display permanently, when I or others share a link on Facebook etc.
At the moment the icon that appears is an image of that page? .. I would prefer my logo to show all of the time.

I just upgraded to 10.3.1, and I can’t get child themes to work using a plugin or via FTP. Here’s what I have tried:
For all previous versions, I had been using the free version of the Child Theme Configurator plugin. I upgraded to the Pro version, and it says child themes should work when I analyze Newspaper. However, the site is completely broken when I preview/activate the child theme. I’ve tried changing the settings multiple times with the same result. This is a preview of the child theme (home page):
I have also tried adding the sample child theme via FTP to wp-content/themes/. Afterward, WordPress gives me an error saying I need to add a parent theme when I go to Appearances > Themes.
I only need a functions.php file in the child theme.

I think that you understand me wrong, you do not need to do this for each post in part, if you are using cloud templates, you need to edit the single post template with tagDiv Composer and remove the sharing from it, this will remove the sharing for all the post that have set that single post template. If you are using a standard post style you can use the options from theme panel.

In the single-template-2.php I see where to add the code next to the author-date under the title:

The sharing buttons can be add/removed from Theme panel> Post settings> Sharing -> https://i.imgur.com/9KDToTE.png -> https://i.imgur.com/5nXrAVe.png or if you are using a single post template from tagDiv Cloud library, then you need to edit it with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/Ca96EpJ.jpg and use the right click on the element you want to remove -> https://i.imgur.com/a2r6jOJ.png

We adquired the Newspaper Theme a couple of weeks ago, and as we develop our news site, we’ve got some questions:
1. Problem with “Sharing” social-media buttons for Single Post
We’re using a Post Template from your CloudLibrary. The one we’re using is the “Single Post Template 11”. There’s a section for sharing buttons on the top of the template, but the configuration options doesn’t give us any chance to insert our social media links.
So we’ve gone to the “Sharing” section inside “Post settings” of the Theme Panel. We activated the options TOP ARTICLE SHARING, TOP ARTICLE SHARE TEXT, BOTTOM ARTICLE SHARING BOTTOM and ARTICLE SHARE TEXT, but even doing that, no share buttons appeared.
In the section “Social Networks”, the only option that appears us for selecting is NAVER. We’ve filled with our social media links, the PANEL’S section SOCIAL NETWORKS. We’ve added facebook, Instagram, Soundcloud, Twitter, Vimeo and Youtube. Yet none of them appears as a configurable option inside Post Settings.
What could be happening? None of the default post templates displays us the share buttons. Can we solve this?
2. Youtube linkage problems
We’re trying to add a Youtube Video Playlist in the Home Page that we’re designing, so we’ve tried to use the “Youtube Video Playlist” from the TagDiv composer, but it’s not working. We’ve tried adding the videos id, and also the whole links, but none of them are working, which is something that doesn’t happen with the Vimeo option.
This YOUTUBE connection problem has also appeared in the “Social Counter” element, where the social media counter for facebook, twitter and Instagram is working, but the Youtube channel id doesn’t load any info.

The social sharing are look different in mobile version, because you are using the mobile theme plugin, if you disable it the layout will be the same with the one from the desktop. Also you can keep the mobile theme plugin and use a custom css like this one -> https://i.imgur.com/M3TST1s.png

It is no longer possible to see numbers larger than 2 digits in the padding field in Flex Box 3.
Until a few months ago (using 9.2.2.) I could see 3 digits, now only 2. To see 3 I have to scroll the field left-right. This continues with 10.3.
Please see 2 screenshots, one scrolled left 69-, one right -94. The full number I should see is 694.

Please notice that the mobile theme is a separate design/theme for mobiles, if you want to have the settings from desktop on mobile, you can use the responsive version or use the option from mobile theme to display only the posts/pages that you want to have the responsive version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

2-3. Mobile theme is compatible with cloud templates, but you need to understand that mobile theme is a separate.
4. We’ll think about this suggestion, for the moment the you can set in theme panel cloud templates as general clouds is enough to edit them and will apply on the whole website.
5. The smart list need to be set as in this documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-lists/ and you apply on the post the smart list from cloud you like.

I’m currently using Podcast Pro theme. I’ve checked Line at Post settings > Sharing > Socical Networks, but it is not showing. Also, the theme is showing at most 4 sub-categories in the mega menu. I want it to list all sub-categories.

The theme do not set og images for the sharing, these can be added using the SEO plugin mentioned, only in this way the Social Media Share Thumb will be display.

What you can do to solve the problem is to use a custom css to hide the share from the footer page

Unfortunately this method didn’t solved my problem because I have disabled Facebook like button, posts views counts and author box on desktop so I can’t see them in mobile view. But they are visible when page load on Mobile device.
I suggest you to add this feature to future update so we can customize Mobile theme from Theme Panel.
I tried to use css to solve the problem.

It solved the problem of posts view count and Facebook like button, It also solved the Author box problem but this css code hide Author box from all the pages, So Author box is hidden even from Author page. I want to display Author box on Author page and hidden only on single posts on mobile theme.

Please remove and re-install the tagDiv Composer. This issue is due to Google + Social sharing and in our latest tagDiv Composer version this is fixed.
