Ok Great! Yes I believe I have the latest version of the theme.

The strange thing is that even if I disable Total Cache, the 7 day post sorting in the sidebar module is not updating. it’s very strange, since it used to work flawlessly, when I first installed the theme.

Thank you

ok, here is something strange i noticed: after installing the VC plugin (from a fresh download of your theme) it told me it was on 4.3.5, after clearing the cache it now says it’s 4.3.4 again. what could be wrong here?

Hi,

No. The theme uses different image sizes for on module/blocks/menu.
For old content the image thumbs don’t exist so the original image will be loaded and you need to regenerate thumbnails: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
I also suggest you empty cache/purge files if you sue any cache plugin or CDN host services.

Thanks

Hi,

For your site’s page speed I can use the tagdiv speed booster plugin and this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ but first I suggest you turn off all plugins, empty cache/purge files and use this guide to regenerate your thumbnails so that the theme creates the thumbnails for old images form your content: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
You can also follow this topic to find out how others fixed their issues regarding pagespeed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagespeed/
For remaining js/css errors I suggest you enable/disable plugins to find out which ones are causing issues.

Hi,

You can find image size for blocks and modules in td_config.php: http://screencast.com/t/6akUdS6M
And the image size that modules are using, for example module 1: http://screencast.com/t/oRtW4YJI1

Please regenerate thumbnails after you make some changes: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/

Hahaha… got it!

Be patient, I´m learning.

There seams to be some strange action on your “block 3”
see: http://www.kungalvsnyheter.se/debatt/?preview=true&preview_id=729&preview_nonce=4cfad58862

Isn´t the articles gonna be big and one under the other? not many small?

Cheers,

Joakim

Hi,

Regarding the first problem you have please note that we have this on our todo list an we’re working on it and we will have it fix in next theme versions.
The images used for post template 4/5/6 is the td_1021x580 image thumbnail they are not loaded at their original size:
ex: http://screencast.com/t/0vOmUbxV
Make sure you use this guide an regenerate your thumbnails if this is not happening in your case: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
Let me know if this is not what you’ve refereed too and provide more details and your site’s URL also.

Hello,

In my way to customize the theme I’ve purchased, there are some problems I can not deal with:

-first of all, AJAX does not work on my site, that means no megamenu works, and also all blocks containing AJAX, but it is a bit strange, because all works properly on my working PC, but nowhere else!?

-I read your documentation but did not succeed to find how to use grid columns shortcodes, actually I can not find them?!

-I have a problem with bulleted lists – actually there is no bullets visible in the publication, but numbers work properly.

PS I upgraded the theme to the last version you provide and the issues still are there.

Hi,

You could do via custom css like this: http://screencast.com/t/CiOywiOR

.td_block_big_grid .td-big-grid-post-0 .entry-thumb {
width: 100%;
}

But I suggest you regenerate thumbnails: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/ as an thumb image for that slider container should be created and used there. I have also tested this and as you can see it should work fine: http://screencast.com/t/z2Djej8fjYV

Thanks

Hi

We are developing the site on a local server. But the strange thing is that the titles in the big grid have a grey background on the them, not the transparent background as in your demo. How do I go about to achieve this?

http://www.screencast.com/t/WUEtPqbM

This is CSS code the causing this
.td-big-grid-post {
float: left;
width: 238px;
position: relative;
overflow: hidden;
background-color: #cccccc;
}

Thanks

Hello 🙂
Here is the run down of what I am trying to do:

For my adsense ads I use an adserver (BuySellAds Pro) so that I can split test different colors easy do geos and rotate in house ads or direct buys when I want to (lots of reasons why a person may want to do this).

So with that being said. They have an responsive ad code option for the ad zone I use and right now I am just running an adsense responsive code inside it. But something strange seems to be happening when I paste the code in the ad panel and tell it i want 728×90 on desktop it only displays smaller than 728×90 ads:

http://staging.myfirstclasslife.com/5-vacheron-constantin-tour-de-ille-1-54-million/

But when I paste the adsense code in directly its not an issue it loads the right size everytime.. Any Idea why this may be or what to do? Thanks 🙂

Hi,

You can use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
If you have images smaller than 745x483px you need to use a plugin like like Thumbnail Upscale for that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-upscale/ as WordPress cannot enlarge thumbnails, only make them smaller.

Thanks

Hi,

Here you can find the height of Slider: http://screencast.com/t/kGSubsdm
After you change the height, you have to regenerate thumbnails: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
Now you have some changes to do via custom css: http://screencast.com/t/N89BSwYTzy

.td-theme-slider.iosSlider-col-3.td_mod_wrap{
height: 640px !important;
}
.td-theme-slider.iosSlider-col-3 .td_module_slide {
height: 640px;
}

Hi!

We have a strange issue with some of our articles. For some reason they won’t load with the new wonderful newsmag theme.

1. When logged in the articles look like they should. For those who’s not logged in the error occurs
2. We have latest wordpress version installed, re-installed it just in case (same goes for all plugins)
3. Cache has been cleared.
4. This error onlye applies to some posts.

An example of a post:
http://serienytt.no/2014/09/fjernsynt-podcasten-episode-14/

Do you have any idea of what the issue might be?

Hi,

Please make sure you have all thumbs enabled in theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/2Q61wQ9qUxU
Then regenerate thumbnails and also make sure you have GD library installed and writing permissions on /wp-content/uploads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
Also make sure you empty cache and try this without any plugins active.
Please let me know if you still have issues with it after doing all this.

Thanks

Hi,

The size of the images can be changed from functions.php: http://screencast.com/t/FbsZ2g0g
And regenerate thumbnails: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/
But if you re-size it you might need some css modifications.

Use this custom css and add it in theme panel > custom css filed: http://pastebin.com/77F0NWGS
Result: http://screencast.com/t/9gA1qZ089UMW

Thanks

Hi,

I see that the thumbs work now. Also your thumbnails doesn’t have the right size and need to be regenerated at the them size. To do that follow those steps from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-fix-strange-thumbnails/ and make a backup before do that.

Thanks!
