After attempting to fix this issue my instance of tagDiv now appears to be corrupt. TD Composer is behaving strangely.
I can no longer attempt to update the Theme to the new 12.5.1 as it requests FTP access. My site’s FTP is locked to specific FTP and is not accessible from external locations.
The td_composer folder now insists on being ‘_td_composer’ and is impossible to change back to ‘td_composer’.
Please assist me in resolving these issues.

I enabled the MODIFIED DATE in the NEWSMAG theme option but the modified date appears in every post even if they were not modified
the date is always the same as the created date… strangely, in some case is before the creation date
there is an option to set at lead 1 day delay to show it?

I’ve tested again and same happend. I already flush cache, activated only tagdiv composer, same strange behaviour happening.
I think this might be related to the fact that it’s being used on Custom Post type page.

When I use the arrow navigations on my flex block, which is inside a tab shortcode, the block stays strange. It onlys displays the image, the rest dissapear. This does not happen on the actual page when I placed the block shortcode. Only on the tab shortcode.

We first thought of a cache/js report/css/js minimization problem… the WP Rocket team connected to the site and told us that the problem came from the theme and not from the wprocket configuration.

And another strange thing happens on the main page – see video (https://streamable.com/4mx0zb). When I hover over a category, the link turns into a rectangle like this. It used to be without any problems. I’m convinced this is after a recent update. Could you please advise me how to fix this? Thank you very much.
strange,.. it looks like some kind of conflict with Plugins “UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore” after upgrade.
When disable this plugins, then the error was gone
I tried to delete this plugins, empty cache/delete cache and reinstall,.. and the error start to show up again,.. hmm
the plugins is compatible with my WP version,.. this issue when upgrade newspaper

From what I can see, this task has been marked as complete, but the strange thing is that I don’t see it being listed on the release notes.
What I can suggest is to try a staging, or make a backup of the site and contact us by email (contact@tagdiv.com) to make the update and see if everything is ok.

After updating to Newspaper 12.4 and moving my page to Cloud templates, the Post Preview plugin stoped working properly. Instead of showing the post it’s showing like strange looking cloud template with fake text.

I am currently cleaning up my site (newspaper) following successive hacks.
I have a question about a directory contained in wp-content/themes
It has the newspaper file but also a folder named with letters and numbers and containing .js.php files
As the names of these files seem strange to me despite their editing remaining with “clean” code, I hesitate to get rid of them. What do you think ?

after upgrading to 12.5 something weird started on our website.
everytime the home-page is loaded, a bunch of connections from mobile devices (with referer: “android-app://com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/” or “https://www.google.com/”) flood the website.
we deactivated any plugins and now just Newspaper is running, but the strange behaviour keeps happening.
To avoid Dossing our website we started to filter out IPs of the mobile devices connecting with those referer, but it’s just a temporary workardound and not a solution.
Can you help me with it?

For the problem with the Google Maps HTML, I think that you have in that code a specific size, what needs to be done is to use a css to adjust it for mobile, for this it will be need a link to your website to can investigate and make the code you need.

I can’t figure this out.
I have ALL Post Settings correct, to go to the Cloud Template I want. I have each Mobile Header/Mobile pages set and turned on, and yet – on this page, as you can see it is still coming up with the LIVING MAGAZINE header. How do I get rid of this, and go back to my own Mobile header?

Very strange, some how Newspaper is NOT saving or assigning the Post Template / Mobile Header on the “Post” pages. I have many and it would be very helpful to do this globally, all at once. Any ideas? I can share web admin access if absolute necessary..

Hi,
I just catch the problem on desktop and it is like you are not one the website. Do you have extra plugins or extra files in WordPress install? For me looks like your website has been injected with some code that is cratering this situation.
Also, it can be a cache problem, please do a test without the cache plugin and see if the problem persist.

Theme: Newspaper 12.4
Templates used: Magazine Pro
Template I’m seeing this problem: Category Template – Magazine PRO
Wordpress: 6.2.2 (latest)
PHP: 8.1.19 (also tested with PHP 7.4.33)
I can provide URLs/login in private message as needed.
I have a hierarchical category tree. Example:
Animals – Birds – Blue birds (3 posts)
Animals – Birds – Red birds (7 posts)
For this example, I have a post titled “Mountain bluebird” that is a member of (at least) 3 categories, ie “Animals”, “Birds” and “Blue birds”.
If I look at the category page for “Animals” I will see the post about the mountain bluebird.
If I look at the category page for “Birds” I will see the post about the mountain bluebird.
However, if I look at the category page for “Blue birds” I only get “No posts to display”, even if there are 3 posts with that category set.
Strangely enough, this problem is only partially there with the “Red birds”-category. In there I can see 3 of the 7 posts with that category.
The block that is failing is the “Posts loop”-block, which is standard on the “Magazine PRO” template.
If I clone the template, and add a “Flex box 1” with filter set to “Current category” that flex box will get the articles without any problems. But the Posts loop still displays “No posts to display”.
This is a fairly fresh install (last week) where I imported all posts from the current site, as well as imported the “Magazine pro” templates.
HI, Can someone please check – I have a S23 Ultra, and love the Newspaper theme; site created, however only page title and footer shows up on the MOBILE. I have AMP set, and no other mobile plugins, except for what came with Newspaper. I have created a mobile page and regular page. Very strange. Strange behaviour. If you can, try to make some backup or development site and check does the same thing happen there. Also, check your logs and switch off automatic updates. And check that your Newspaper theme is properly activated.
Another thing to do is, uninstall TagDiv Newspaper theme and then install it again and switch TagDiv composer on.
