This problem appears when you install the theme on a site that already has content, right?

There should be no problem importing a cloud homepage and setting it in the WordPress settings.
The issues with the thumbnails can be solved by regenerating them

Insufficient resources most likely will cause problems.

I have installed theme

deleted dummy posts
Why will it not let me amend home page? I go to page. press TagDiv Composer and it says leave without saving or cancel?
If I say leave it just goes to blank screen.
Same when I try making a new page
Now site is stuck with follow buttons for envato and strange headings I cannot amend? Plus blank box on top?
I system settings I get no red but some yellows… Yet I have confirmed with hosts I am actually way above these figures! The theme is picking up wrong numbers there too

I have a strange issue – have a page using Flexbox element to show posts – it works fine on all browsers and devices except with an iPad on iOS9 – the device can’t be upgraded beyond iOS9 and the overlapping happens on both Chrome and Safari on the device.
Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

We just migrated our site to the Newspaper theme. Our pages were previously built using a highly customized page builder, but with this move I opted to use WP Bakery page builder. I’ve used it on other sites and really like the ease of it.
Once our site was moved, I quickly saw that WP Bakery wasn’t working as expected. I can edit the page builder elements that were migrated from our site, but I have issues when I add a new element or start from scratch, building a new page. The full width elements seem to be working fine, but if I have an image that is less (1/2 page, 1/3 page etc) the image is blown up large, but you can only see a skinny tall rectangle portion of the image. I’ve tried importing different size images and indicating in the page builder what size I’d like it to be, but it always turns out the same. A full page image looks fine, but anything less that than is strangely cropped.
Also the front end editor isn’t working as it should. I can’t drag and drop rows … visually it’s not previewing how the page will look in live editor because the elements aren’t previewing to size (they’re much smaller than they should be).
This is what WP Bakery support is saying: “The newspaper theme used at your end uses a highly modified version of WPBakery Page Builder which in-turn can cause an issue if the site is migrated from a standard page builder version. You can get in touch with the theme author and get rid of the customization code used by the theme author to modify he page builder via theme, so that there is no such issue.”

I just switched from Newsmag to Newspaper and I’m building new page in TagDivComposer. When i set up a BigGrind ond front i noticed some strange problem. Images which worked just fine in Newsmag now have grey borders. I don’t now how to change it because Grid photo is the same as post main photo.

all css place in custom code in admin loads after theme css. Is there any way to load first? Because when web is loading during 1 or 2 seconds shows theme css instead custom code, and is strange.

Hi, I try tu use the Single Image on the TDComposer to create a cover on top the page…
The problem is that… I need that these image are 100% on width and auto to height but not crop the image, just adjust the height….
I can specify for desktop the size… but when are exhibts on mobile the image seems strange… how can I do?

When I am editing my pages with the TD Composer and save the changes, it sometimes happens that strange characters like â or backslashes appear.
For example: “letâÂÂs be realistic” or “that\\’s”
I’ve already tried lots of different things especially with the encoding options but they only worked temporary.
Is there any solution? Do I have to change something in the Newspaper theme data?

I understand what you mean, but I can’t explain the shortcodes and syntax used which appears strange to you. Everything in the code is there for a reason, since the page builder has been built from the ground up.
We made it that it is compatible with Visual composer shortcodes on a level for an easier transition between the two if users decide to do it.
As I mentioned the page builder is always being improved where possible.
I am sorry for any inconvenience caused, you could always use the WPBakery page builder included in the package. But with it the new features and the many ones to come will not be compatible.

A recent problem has started occuring on my website http://www.fishingindustrynewssa.com and I’m not sure what has caused it or how to fix it.
Most of the image thumbnails on my site are not displaying on the the homepage or in the sidebar and recommended content sections, etc. The large header images for individual articles seem to be displaying fine, although I haven’t checked all of them. Strangely, I only started noticing this problem a few weeks ago as before then it was displaying the thumbnails just fine.
I have tried installing and running the “Regenerate Thumnails” extension but this hasn’t helped.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

The reason I asked is that there are some incomplete attributes in your code. I do understand the strange one for functionality but you do have some that break cardinal rules.
For example, you have closing quotes without a corresponding opening …i.e. <div "></div> and I am told to ignore this. That’s just not right!
You also have a very strange markup <div "="></div> which I would like to know what exactly that means.
So while you tell me to ignore your special attribute (and I will), I would like an explanation for the incomplete attributes and the equal sign as an attribute.

So the characters will appear in the same place after you manually removed them? Something must be inserting them there for some reason.
Do you use any text editing plugins when writing, or copying text from a different editor? or maybe previously a plugin was used for his and now it has been deactivated?
I browsed the website for quite a while, seems I cannot find the issue currently.

Over the past couple of days certain images have stopped appearing on my site.
When I go back to investivate, a strange string has been added to the end of the image (I did not put it there) e.g. sky-road-clifden-e1534580520893.jpg – I’m not sure where the e1534580520893 is coming from.

great theme, my site was supercharged after i installed this theme (check out here http://www.pcguide.lk) however I run into this strange problem of “Connection lost” in editor if i add a video for the featured image. it will spin for almost 10 mins and then work and the video will show as intended on featured area.
when creating a post with image for featured area this never happens. I have heartbeat installed,and this only happens with video featured posts.

Please try and not reply in your own topic multiple times. This will only delay the answer on our part. It will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line. We answer all topics from oldest to newest, which is fair.
We only made tests with the super cache plugin that is why we recommend it. That doesn’t mean other caching plugins definitely will not work. You can make tests with others. The guide is older indeed, it needs an update (there are plans to do so). Some settings in the plugin were moved or renamed, but basically still the same.

The thumbnail that is uses cannot be changed. In your case it seems the images are bigger, please regenerate the thumbnails to create the required size

The theme analytics capabilities are simple, there is only a section in the theme panel where analytics code can be entered. The code will be loaded in the header. There are no settings to manage tracking.
If you require such settings you could consider using a more advanced plugin for example, to allow you to do what is needed.

Strangely on mobile when on two category pages, the hamburger menu want open when clicked on it.
It works on all the other pages/posts, but not on 2 specific category pages (they seem to have nothing special compared to other categories and it only happens when on a mobile device).
What could that be?
Hi, I installed the theme and I have a problem with the icons in the menus. I do not see social network icons and arrows in the site menus.

Since updating to Newspaper v9.0.1, we’re having problems with unwanted characters appearing in text on pages created with tagDiv composer.
For some reason, we are getting Ā and/or  characters appearing in “column text” or “text with title” elements, particularly near a £ symbol (which we use quite often). Please see this link for examples:

We have tried deactivating all plugins, updating Newspaper to latest version, reinstalling Newspaper, clearing all caches, etc. but nothing seems to work.
If I go into tagDiv composer and delete the offending characters, it will fix that element, but add the same characters to every other text element. And each time I do it, it seems to add double! So now I have some lines that have an enormous number of ÂÂÂĀĀĀÂÂÂĀĀĀÂÂÂĀĀĀ in them.
Can you please offer any suggestions?

Two issues:
1. Updates – Despite having the Envato plugin configured properly (it detects my purchase of Newspaper), when I go to the themes section, there is no option to update Newspaper to version 9.
I also tried updating via FTP, but strangely, it still shows Newspaper 8 when I go to the themes section.
2. This issue just seemed to come up today out of nowhere. Despite having the “Big Grid Full 8” module selected for my homepage, it no longer actually has the full width now. Why did this happen, and how do I fix it?
On some of my posts, the social media share icons get cut off, on both PC and mobile.
I find it very strange. If there is only 2 icons, then it is fine. However, once I have 3 or more, every icon after the first two looks like it is cut in half.
I imagine it has something to do with the td_block shortcode I am inserting into the page, because it is after I do this that the problem appears.
It is after I insert this into my post that the social icon problem appears:
