First there are a few things you could check. The theme system status panel would be most important
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Most issues with the theme and composer are caused by insufficient resources, they are solved by increasing theme as mentioned. If needed ask your hosting provider to increase them for you.
The next thing to check is plugins, deactivate them all except theme plugins you have installed.
Check if the problem is solved first after modifications made to the system status part, also check after deactivating plugins. Let us know the results.
Hi,
Try to force refresh the page in the browser. When viewing the system status page do a Ctrl+Shift+R. Check if accurate information is displayed. Maybe this is also not picked up by the theme for some reason.
If the hosting says the modification has been made this would not be a reason to worry.
Thanks
Hello,
I have run into an issue with TD Composer not loading the WP Editor when trying to edit a text block with title. The loading icon just spins forever. We are wanting to move away from WPBakery Visual Composer and use your TD Composer but ran into this issue on the very first thing we tried to do.
We’re green in the System Status. I have tried disabling plugins and it didn’t seem to matter. It looks for many other posts that this takes someone logging into the site and inspecting things. So I have already created an account for someone from tagDiv. But, just wanted to post here first before emailing.
Hello kosolrama,
Please check your system status section and ensure that your parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also, if the problem is still there, please try to make a new fresh install to another sub-domain for testing, use only the required plugins and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi! I contacted my host and requested them to change the max_input_vars value to 5000. They say they have done it. But it still says 1000 in my Newspaper System Status page. Why is that?
Hi,
I know you answered a lot of questions about this topic already. I went through the past issues and tried to fix it.
After that, my current system status looks green overall (memory Limit is 96MB, gd, mbstring, sushosin, max input vars, max executin time). PHP Verion is 5.6.36, Theme Version is 8.7.5
I also some suggested code into the htaccess, like
<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>
ANYWAY: After activating TD Composer Plugin my backend is not reachable anymore. I need to remove the plugin via FTP to get into the WP Backend again. Any clue what I might have missed?
thanks in advance,
Norman
Hi,
First you could deactivate all plugins by FTP, if you cannot access the wp-admin
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
Then you should be able to access wp-admin. Deactivate and remove both tagDiv composer and social counter, install them from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pahaoV3WXi
Next check the theme system status panel, and this requirements guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources could cause the 500 errors you get when trying to access wp-admin. If needed ask your hosting provider to increase the values of the parameters, especially the wp-memory. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
@Monokromdesign That code solved most of the similar cases, the code simply has to be entered in the htaccess file, at the end
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/why-you-cant-find-htaccess-file-on-your-wordpress-site/
– https://www.shoutmeloud.com/how-to-edit-your-wordpress-htaccess-file.html
– https://www.greengeeks.com/tutorials/article/tips-on-finding-your-wordpress-htaccess-file/
You could also contact your hosting provider for assistance in finding the file if needed.
Also check the theme requirements in the system status panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks
Hi,
The new version should be displayed in the theme panel and also system status. As long as all the old files are overwritten/replaced with the new ones, the update would be made properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The theme package available now is 8.7.5
– https://www.screencast.com/t/y9lwwyjjAo
So if the old theme files are replaced with the new ones, it would be impossible that the old theme version is still displayed.
Hi,
@Chris The Newspaper theme supports PHP versions up to 7.2 since update 8.7
– https://www.screencast.com/t/AeJXPT1u
So there should be no problem using the theme and theme plugins with the version you intend to. Be sure to use theme version 8.7 or newer with that PHP version. Clear all caches, CDN as well if used, also browser caches could create visual problems.
The theme requirements are mentioned here, check if the system status is configured correctly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks
Hello Emilie,
Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer your setup page. Also, you should provide CPanel access to any further investigations. Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
There were no other mentions about this until now. I tested saving different elements and rows, there is no problem with that functionality
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VE7axKWu
I would suggest that you check the theme system status panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources could cause such problems. Increase the parameters mentioned in the guide if necessary. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes, you can move a theme license to another domain. You can reset the theme activation in the system status section of the theme and then activate it on the new domain.
Thank you!

Hello sahil,
Check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello aidatimar,
I suggest you make a new clean install to another sub-domain for testing, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, ensure that your system status parameters are correctly set up according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Making all these modifications is not necessary unless you want to modify a thumbnail size. Block 5 looks like this
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/
I see from your screenshot that the thumbnails are not of the same size despite the block using a single module and thumbnail size.
Please read carefully the regeneration guide, if you tried to regenerate and no success
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
The regeneration process requires the installation of GD library for php on the server for image processing
Check the theme system status panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/TsqRJrJGU
If needed ask your hosting provider to enable the required extension for PHP. If there is still a problem please provide a link to your website so we can take a look.
Hello, I’m having problems with the loading time of the site, and sometimes also with the connection to the database. See system information:

I made uptime tests on the site through the Uptime Robot site and Load Impact test through the Load Impact site, see below the reports of each site:

I got in touch with the server support, which is a VPS with 4Gb of RAM, see what they answered me:
“Dear Client,
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused!
Here is the 2 errors found in the apache error log
[30-May-2018 21:30:25 UTC] PHP Warning: array_pop() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/maisvip/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_util.php on line 563

Please check your cloudflare settings and contact your theme vendor who should be familiar with these errors.”
Hello lindoma,
Ensure that your system status has been correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
For such an old version you most likely used Visual composer. Please deactivate the tagDiv composer after you update, this will be activated automatically when the theme is updated or installed (since it’s introduction in 8.0).
When both are active there could be layout problems.
Also it is important to check the available resources in the system status panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Update by FTP, this is the most reliable method
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you have code in the theme panel, or you use a child theme, deactivate them because the code could be outdated. After the update do not make any modifications to the theme files. Clear caching, clear CDN if used, clear your browser cache as well.
You can use the manual activation if asked again

Thanks
Hello StephenLieu,
Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
@avinashiitd If anything the theme and theme plugins are more optimized in the latest theme version, than previous versions. Please check the theme changelog (bottom of the page) to see what changes and fixes have been made from 8.7.2 to 8.7.5
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
Also in terms of GDPR, the 8.7.5 version is compliant.
So you should consider updating to the latest version
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If that error is still displayed despite the theme system status set correctly, you could also contact your hosting and mention it to them. Maybe there still is a limitation somewhere.
Thanks
Hi,
Also please check the theme system status requirements panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If you renamed the theme or created a child theme with a different name, return them to default. Let us know.
Thanks
