Trying to update my Newspaper theme and I keep getting this error. Error happens installing through both the admin and via FTP. Activation of theme causes entire site to crash with this error. Even trying the live preview of theme doesn’t work.

Thanks for your reply! I’m wondering if ever someone has checked this. I worked with your themes for several years but never used pages to publish articles (Only as a structural element). Now I work with more complex articles which require that. If I use the Google structured data testing tool it is obvious that there is no page published date/time on the page meta. In my opinion, this is a basic/ core function that should come with the theme and I suggest this for a future update.

I have just one problem and I don’t know what’s causing it. I selected all my options in the Theme panel but those are not appearing in my website. I cleaned the cache but they are still not showing up. Is there a way to fix it?

My Style panel in the tagdiv composer seems to be broken. May have happened since the 8.7 update (I don’t actually use the style section much).

Chrome console does not seem to be reporting any issues.
Anything I can do or try? This is a busy live site so disabling all the plugins will be a problem.

Thanks! However, when I open the WP Editor to add the link, there is no button to confirm or update. I’ve tried in Safari and Chrome and have the same issue.

If you use a smart list the alt text will not be loaded, that is the current smart list functionality. I believe this is added on our list and maybe the smart lists will receive modifications in future updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Is there any update in regards to this? I would also like the possibility to have infinite load of posts when people scroll down. This is a feature that is more and more used.

I have a problem with Instagram non pic are show all settings i have on default, I try few diffrent Instagram profile and still this same problem i have.
As well after update i have a huge problem with row setting 1/6 the are show as 1/1.

That would happen if you built your posts with Visual composer, this was always not recommended to be done in our theme

When the tagDiv composer is active it will cause issues with posts built with Visual composer. A solution would be to deactivate the tagDiv composer (it will activate automatically when the theme is updated or installed).

There has not been any theme update since then. Each issue is analyzed by our developer team and fixed. When this and also other issues are fixed, a theme update will be released. A theme update will include multiple fixes among others, not only one fix. Sorry again for this inconvenience.

If you recently updated the theme, please update all the theme plugins you are using as well. All the theme plugins are provided in the theme package.
Additionally disable all other plugins except theme plugins as a quick test, check if this has any effect. Let us know the results.

Sorry but please notice that’s not the correct theme behavior. The post view counts should not be reset for each theme update. Notice that number will be automatically loaded into your database and the update does not influence the database, sorry! Most likely, this behavior comes from your untested plugins which can interact with the theme come files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Please remove all of these, clear all the caches and check the results.

That was quite an older version, much has changed from version 7.7. That issue could be caused by the tagDiv composer being active along WPBakery page builder. In similar cases deactivating the tagDiv composer fixed the problem. The tagDiv composer will be activated by default as you install/update the theme. Try deactivating it and check the results.

That would not be possible by a theme setting. The theme width is fixed by default, this width is split between main content and sidebar. Only on pages there are options to stretch the rows used

Sidebars in the post content will be fixed, for posts there are no options at the moment. There are plans to change this in coming updates.

I tried to update the plugin provided by Newspaper 8.7 theme : WPBakery Page Builder.
I want to upgrade it at version 5.4.7 but after research, i understood that we have to wait until the author of theme suggest an update of this theme with the latest version of WPBakery Page Builder included.
Did I understand well ? If yes, when the author of this theme will propose this update ?

I have search through this forum concerning tagdiv composer error which is:
“Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!”
But unfortunately there is no good fix that I can find so far.
1. I have uninstalled my SEO Yoast just in case, clear all cache including my browser, but still got error.

2. I’ve also checked the WP Super Cache settings and is according as intructed.
3. Since I updated the theme I didn’t use JS Composer plugin, and I’ve mentioned it on previous discussion in this forum, since I created a brand new page instead making a transition.
With all due respect, I sincerely hope that there can be a very fast solution on this matter, since I’ve been given a task from my office to complete their site soon.
Frankly speaking my schedule is very tight right now.
