I have received email delivery failure emails because I want to know updates to this topic. EVERY day, sometimes twice a day, for days.
I am finally unchecking the “Notify me.” That’s the ONLy way I will stop getting daily, or twice daily, notifications there’s an email failure.

I dont agree. When a user starts reading the buttons load in and distract from reading. The social buttons as they were before the template update were better IMO. Is there a way to revert it back?
All of my posts have the [vc_row] shortcode to create a 50/50 split. Even though I had VC disabled for posts, I manually used the shortcode which I’m guessing means I sort of did use it, even though it was not active on the backend.
After I updated to 8.7 everything worked except for these areas of the post. When I changed the span6 CSS in my child theme from 50% width to 34% it restored the appearance. I’ve since deactivated VC and I’m now using TagDiv composer on pages which I think is absolutely awesome.
I think what I need to do now is find a suitable solution to replace the VC shortcode on posts so that I can restore the span6 style back to 50%.
I’m not sure where else this span6 style is used, but the site seems to appear ok with it set to 34%
Maybe I can use .CSS to create 2 floating div’s that have min-widths to cause them to fall beneath one another when viewed on a mobile.
On pages there is now an option to split the content in two equal columns, in the tagDiv composer

The multi-purpose plugin adds more functionality to the composer, meaning row layouts and many elements that can be used on pages. The recommended method of switching to the tagDiv composer is to recreate the pages entirely with it if possible. Then there will be no more problems.
On posts for the moment the tagDiv composer cannot be used, this may change in a future update.
The tagDiv composer uses the same row/column shortcode as Visual composer, there is a level of compatibility between the two page builders

Ask your hosting provider to increase the allocated resources if needed. If you updated from an older version to the latest one (8.7.2) reinstall the tagDiv composer (latest version is 2.1).
Additionally try as a test to deactivate all other plugins, leave only the theme plugins active. Check if the issue is still happening. Let us know the results.

Few more additional questions:
In the desktop version, the images have the option to be opened as modals. Is / will this be supported in the upcoming update? Currently, in the test demo you linked it’s not working (but redirects to the media url)
Secondly, does the AMP support dark theme / background?
Last: I tried to acces the AMP urls for the index page on the link you gave me, but doesn’t work. Only the blog post. (I tried https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/amp)
Do you have any example for AMP pages?

I updated to the latest version of Newspaper from 7.0.1 (yes!). But I’m not happy with the performance.
I was not using Visual Composer or TagDiv composer for inserting the beautiful big block on the homepage, but I was allowed to insert 1-2 block styles without any of these plugins, but this can’t be done anymore in new version.
Please bring this feature back. I don’t want to use Visual or TagDiv Composers, I don’t need them and they are heavy, resources hungry.

There was added a gradient and that’s why this rule was hardcoded. If you want to use another color for this section you should choose what color you want from the Composer and then add the following code to Theme panel.

Featured videos are supported in the plugin. I don’t think contact form 7 forms will be displayed on AMP pages.
The plugin will receive more options and features in coming updates. The design is similar to the Yoast SEO website

It is up to you if you would like to use this plugin or keep using the implementation you have now. If that has more options that you require, which are not present in our plugin, you could keep using it for the moment.

Use the social counter plugin provided in the theme package of the theme you currently have installed (8.6). If you updated from an older version to 8.6 reinstall it from the new package. The message should not be displayed anymore. Let us know.

After last update, tagdiv Composer don’t work.
I don’t see TagDiv Composer Button on backend editor. If i try to modify the pages created with it, the system show me bar alert like “This current content hasn’t a page created bu tagDiv Composer”

There was an issue with the icons not displaying in the actual page, despite them appearing in the composer page. That could be the issue here. This was brought to our attention shortly after the theme has been updated. We fixed it and re-uploaded the theme package. You could download the theme package again re-install the theme. There should be no more icons issues anymore. Let us know. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Based on user feedback there were some issues between that plugin and the theme. The plugin author released an update not long ago I believe. The problem you are having could be a CSS issue, if you could provide a link to a pages where it is happening, I will take a look.

we are using Newspaper template but we currently get an error on the home page when scrolling:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'top' of undefined
at tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=8.7.2:284We read through the forum and did the solution with deactivating all plugins but no luck. The only thing we noticed is that the error disappeared SOMETIMES when we deactivated either tagDiv Composer or WPBakery Visual Composer – but these are needed Plugins and we can not simply deactivate them.
UPDATE: Deactivated all Plugins except tagDiv Composer and get the error. Activated all Plugins except tagDiv Composer, error still appears. Activated all Plugins and deactivated both tagDiv Composer and WPBakery Visual Composer – the error dissapears.

Do it through FTP as well, that is the most recommended method. The latest theme version available for download is 8.7.2. Remember to update the theme plugins as well.

I encounter an issue when updating the jQuery to the latest stable version 3.3.1 using the plugin “jQuery Updater”.
The pictures in the news/blog posting all doesn’t display on first loading of the page. I have to refresh the web page one more time before it shows up.
How do I resolve this issue? Reason for updating the jQuery is I need a function in one of the newer version.

I did re-install the clean them, updated the plugins from the new repository and cleared the cache plugins (Autopitimize and Wp Fastest Cache). The ‘Editor’ role does enter the wordpress admin but when ‘all posts’ are clicked, it gives the following error. http://prntscr.com/ip8yut. ‘Add New Post’ does open the new post admin but ‘all posts’ still gives the HTTP Error 500.
Newspaper 8.7 is updated on micheck1two.com/beta – however the theme options SAVE SETTINGS does not save, only spins and will NOT complete the update. I need help, it’s the only way to update the design of this Theme. I have purchased everything necessary. I hope we can find a solution. Please.
