When I updated the theme with the latest, it prevented the site from loading properly on the front-end. Wait a while until everything gets ironed out.
I updated the theme via FTP and no content would load on the front end. I just reverted to the previous version of the theme.
Hi,
I updated Newspaper theme to 8.7.
I deactivated the theme and did a overwrite from WinSCP by dragging the exstracted file from Newspaper-TF to wp-content/Themes and activated Newspaper theme again.
How to display the frontpage again?

Just updated to newest version and there is now an error warning on the homepage that returns this:

is it necessary to update ALL plugins after the release of a new newspaper update (8.7 in this case)? I can’t see any version number of the relevant plugins and was just wondering if I have to update them all.

Hi! Tried twice to update a client´s pages from 7 to 8.5. On both cases part of the content on the front page was replaced with error codes. Tried to install the Tagdiv add-ons, it was not possible due to “missing URL”. Are you going to publish any patches for the new version any time soon? My client is pretty annoyed already, and I won´t try updating again with this version.
Thanks Simon for your assistance. After a lot of trials, I was able to solve”The Current Content Page hasn’t been created by tag div composer” problem. In my case, it seems to be coming from the SSL certificate that Inmotion support team installed. The problem started after I secured the wp-admin login.
Tag Div Composer started working when I set the website to https from the WordPress general settings.
However, I had already updated the Newspaper theme from version 8.1 to 8.6 and the issue was solved without changing to https.
I was pissed off by several things in the new theme version. Starting from the minor – the weather app now requires API key. That wasn’t even the main issue. The empty roll and column settings were not responding – which means I won’t design or redesign a page the way I want. This is the main issue. The slider grid was not working too. I tested all these on a new page too.

That would mean the theme has not been updated or installed properly. You could try a theme re-install by FTP

Please try to reinstall tagdiv plugins (tagdiv composer and multipurpose) and see how it goes. Maybe there was an issue and they could not be updated automatically.

There is no need to adjust anything in the theme in this matter. It already has the required parameters implemented.

Try enabling the post date to show on post pages, monitor if there are any changes. That may take a while.
That code will work as well, it will override the demo customization. You could use that to position the logo on the left instead of modifying the demo stylesheet.
Theme files can be modified either in Appearance->Editor or by using FTP
