I am having the same issue as others – I updated Visual Composer, and all of the custom block sections are no longer there. The short code is present on the back-end editor, but the blocks do not render. I need these custom blocks as they are pervasive on the site.
Please advise on how to fix.
I did not realize that my tone was so harsh. Sorry for that. I did know that no more updates were released, but i need some of the new things in that, and just anxious wish to know how the process takes place.
As for the tag div composer, i already tested it, and used it on a couple of pages. But i use Visual Composer to integrate with another paid plugin (toolset), and for that layouts they’re got only integration with visual composer.

After the update the problem with header style 4 is not solved, but with the almost similar header style 5, it works. So I’m happy.
I think Safari saves that space for a banner, even when there is no banner uploaded.

I’m using an outdated Newspaper version right now, just haven’t gotten around to updating it ’cause I’ve made changes to the core files and need to back them up, etc. I’m also using an old Visual Composer — but I’d like to keep it that way because I’m using the now deprecated Tabs feature (which I want to keep). Am I at risk for losing the Tabs feature if I update Newspaper? Thanks.
Nothing shows up when I edit a newly created page. The option to “ADD ELEMENT” appears on the left side. The right side is blank. Nothing happens when I add a block.

It was because I do not want to show the date in the Google search results and had the date in post settings deactivated. The fact is that I do not want it to be displayed in the search results of google, I also have it disabled in block settings. I will have problems with the date in the search results if I only deactivate the post setting to be able to solve the problems of update of the rich snippet?
This morning I received a manual penalization by google on the rich snnipet. I have entered Google Search Console and found that I have many errors about the lack of “updated” in my posts. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Try to use the following quick fix and place the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS area. We will fix this issues as soon as possible in the following theme update which will be next week.

Sorry but we have not tested newspaper 7.8.1 with the latest version of wp. Newspaper 8 was already out when WP was updated so we did not test the previous version of our theme. We do not run tests backwards compatible.
We can only assure NP 8’s compatibility with wordpress 4.8

If that plugin is not compatible with the theme and causing problems, you could search for another one and try it. The plugin you are using may have not been updated for a period of time, and that could be the reason why it is not working properly.
If the thumbnails are not displaying properly on the blocks and grids, you can try to regenerate them, with this guide

Just want to make it a full page with three sections – header, body and footer, and each section has its own background.
In Theme Panel, there’re only settings for header and footer, but not the body. Maybe do something on the body settings in future updates?

Is Newspaper 7.8.1 fully compatible with WordPress 4.8? I am asking this as I am thinking to keep using 7.8.1 for the time being but at the same time keep WordPress updated. Thanks.

During the last weeks we are facing a problem with the Homepage Post which stopped showing the featured image correctly. I read some topics and i reinstalled the updated theme from scratch along with the plugins and i cleaned the cached memory too but the problem stands still. If i refresh again it work again :). Earlier i didnt have problem with this. It starts after last(?) update.
And second problem:
It is way to cover with image for example grid 3? Now it depends on image, if image cover the biggest box, then is problem with cover all box in others grid?

The Block Grids are gone, and there is no options to choose this grids again.
What should I do? And what went wrong during the update?

However, now the background image of the “theme background” section has some dead/white space above it. What needs to be updated for the image to be flush/all the way to the top as well?

Hi, could someone please give me any hints with implementing Co-Authors Plugin into a theme, since I am not too savvy. I also need more than one authors to show up in posts (I see that there is a great deal of people looking for that function, so it might be good to implement in further development).

1. Do I need to put the code into activated child theme? I mean, if I modify some templates, they will probably get re-modified after theme updates. Or am I wrong?
2. If I need to put modified files into child theme, where should they be stored? In the root directory of a child theme or in the same sub-directory? Will they be automatically read instead of those un-modified files in the theme folder?
3. This goes to anyone who has successfully implemented the Co-Authors Plugin – could you help any further with advice for us who are struggling with it, it would be very much appreciated 🙂 @soundstrat @kpwebteam

Only when the plugin receives an update from the plugin developers, we can begin to make the proper testing and include it in the next theme update.

When I bought the template one of the main selling points was also get the Visual Composer. The last update that you have published of it is of 4 of April, when do we get a new version of it?
Also, I’m pretty happy with the template, and I’m in the prospect of selling 2-3 sites to clients with, on several level of customization. Can I get a special price if bought more than 1 licence at once?
