Update: it worked perfectly, except when I tried to add an extra margin rule for mobile devices only.
Under the Advanced CSS tab, I applied the following code to every section exception Mobile:
.td-post-content p{
width: 69%;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
And then under Mobile I increased width, with the code below:
.td-post-content p{
width: 90%;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
Yet when I reduce my resolution to mobile, the content still seems to be at 69% instead of the desired 90%. Any ideas on how to get this working?

I have updated the theme I have the same problem, only show 30 categories in the menu drop down, and now I have the code:

i have tried everything even updated my theme to 7.8 but the ads sizes are not showing
Visual composer crashed my website again (it always does). I did the newspaper update via sFTP, and then updated my plugins (except visual composer). I deactivated all plugins, uploaded the new composer via sFTP, and then it crashed the site. When I de-activate visual composer and then delete it and re-upload, it usually doesn’t let me get past the de-activate stage because it just crashes my site. The sFTP method has worked up until this time. Why does this keep happening?

Same thing, I put 15p in DEFAULT BUTTONS and in the name of the button nothing change (only the number in the fiels).

Additional features for the login could be made available in a future update, but at the moment these are the options and I cannot give you an exact date as to when or if this will happen. Hi,
The Woocommerce plugin released a major update a few days back. Please note that the theme is not influencing the plugin settings in any way, it all depends on the plugin authors. Here is a changelog for the latest Woocommerce update – https://woocommerce.com/2017/04/woocommerce-3-0-release/
For the light-box issue, It seems this a common problem after the update, maybe the feature was removed or replaced. You can find more information by following this topic – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/lightbox-not-working-after-upgrade-to-3-0/ and also a possible fix suggested by the plugin author.

Sorry but you will have to be more explicit. I assume you are trying to avoid losing your customization after updating. Unfortunately there is no update proof method to alter the theme files. A child theme is not update proof. If the file you have modified in your child theme gets updated and changed, you will be serving the old code from your child theme when the theme requires the new code to work. In this case you will have to copy over the new file and apply your customization again to your child theme.

Sorry but we did not test wpengine’s checker yet. we will improve the php compatibility further in the next theme version as we plan on implementing full php 7.1 compatibility so then there should be no more php errors. We hope we can provide it in the next update though. I cannot promise anything yet.

We updated a couple of days ago, and since, we have lost 2 features.
1) The lightbox feature in WooCOmmerce > Products > Settings > Display. We are using latest WooComerce, PHP 5.6
2) A plugin to assign retailers WooCommerce Product Retailers is not working now. This stopped working on the last update of the theme (7.6).

If we have a child theme created, to avoid that in the acutalizations of the theme are overwriting the customizations, it may be that in this case the theme save changes in the database of the engine that can be updated with an update of the theme itself.

Please keep in mind that you will update the theme from 4 to 7, the sidebars will remain at your frontend but the widgets will be inactive. You will find them at the Widgets section in an inactive mode. You should simply re-add them at the widgets. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/3KJJYW8p2uAf

I updated the theme on a staging site (https://stefaniephan.staging.wpengine.com). Settings in the theme panel are not showing up on the front end.
For example, I have set the main menu to be always sticky but on the front end it’s not showing up. Wpengine advised that certain fonts were not coming over https (I’m not sure what that means) and to contact the theme developer.
Also, at the bottom of the home page I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined method td_util::vc_set_column_number() in /nas/content/staging/stefaniephan/wp-content/themes/newspaper-child/parts/footer/td_footer_template_1.php on line 17

Layout of home page and posts is completely random – sometimes looks like a mobile width sometimes everything overlaps and then it’s fine. Problems started with latest theme update.
Hello, I updated my newspaper theme today only. Instead of updating to the latest version, visual composer is showing outdated.
Also, I want to install newspaper mobile theme plugin. I can’t find the install option in the plugin page.
Has the undermentioned issue taken cared off in the recent update released.
1) Trying to install Newspaper Default Demo ‘Only Settings & No Content’ however it installing demo with full content. Tried other demos as well however same thing is happening.
Also remember you need to do search/replace in your mysql dbase for all instances of images inserted into posts which load via http, and updated any references to logo, icon, sidebar elements, etc. in the theme panel. Some folks forget to update the RSS feed link if entered manually, etc. 🙂
Hello.
I added a background ad and also a link for it (I have done it successfully many times in the past). Unfortunately, the link is not active with newspaper 7.8. It works fine with the 7.7.1 version.
Is it a bug or is it something on my part?
