Are these method still valid? I have tried to implement the process that Lucian suggested in his reply but the screenshot that he had used to show the location is now not working and is invalid. Here is his screenshot link: http://screencast.com/t/a8B0TRtck

I am using WP Facebook Login ( Link ) and it supports following code :

Please let me know where should I add this code? Which code should I insert there the php code or the shortcode? As some commenter suggested above, it should be added here: public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/parts/header/top-menu.php

but then the guy who insitiated this thread said that the code should be added “td_login_widget.php”

I am super confused. This is very important thread and have been referred by many of you under various posts. It will be really great if you can update the solution based on the current requirement.

Try to update the theme at V 3.1 which is available on themeforest and also update Visual Composer at V 4.12 which is included in theme’s path, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please provide your site url so we can have a closer look.

You still have the that warning still appear in google’s report if you run a page-speed test, even with new theme enabled: http://screencast.com/t/iPHT5Ei4No
The css I’ve provided should remove that warning, I’ve made a test on my side and works fine. We will inspect this and in next theme’s version will look for a different implementation.
I can’t say for sure when the update will be released but we try to make it as soon as possible.

YOu don’t need to update VC; you don’t need license code.

YOu will get updated version when the theme is updated.

I’d probably make backups, and update WP asap as latest update has notable security fixes for stuff in the wild.

THEN worry about theme upgrade.

I couldn’t manage to make the counter plugin work.

I think I don’t have the V4.1 because the Visual composer plugin is not update. I have try several times to make the update, following the update steps, but it gives me WP error, because the size of the zip file exceeds the limit.

Please let me now if this two plugins are related or there’s a way to update the plugins separately.

So, did you clear your caching plugin, reset CDN, clear your browser history?

I don’t work here. But then, my site is working.

One presumes you’re using latest version of theme, updated your plugins, etc.

WP update does *not* break dbase settings for theme panel or stuff like widgets or similar. You may have some other issue.

A theme or WP update does *not* delete pages. so, your web host might have had an issue; you got hacked, or some plugin or setting you have unique to your setup broke. No way to know.

Ideally if you have missing pages — which is bad — you should roll back to your most recent backup, if any.

If you have no backups, now would be good time to plan for that!

With any new major update to WordPress, you should have backup to roll back to, if needed; you also must clear your browser cache, and any/all caches used in wordpress, CDN, etc.

You can also
a) resave permalinks
b) optimize db to clear transients with wp-optimize
c) simply resave menus from menu panel if none of the above helps

Also good to turn off auto-updates for WP, so you can be prepared with backups prior to doing an update to new version of WP; then roll back if something breaks.

Theme is working for me, but you can try the cache clearning, resave permalinks, resave menu; this is all necessary with many things that changed in WP with new versions of 4.6x.

you don’t need to update. The bundled version is updated with theme updates 🙂

I see a lot of things are changed and I have to spend hours to put them in place. This happened just after wordpress update. Why is your theme misbehaving? This will not only cost time to us but money as well!!!

If you see the docs, you get a “bundled version” with the theme (it’s licensed/legal); you don’t get a free license with the WPBakery folk for support and updates (although you could buy one, supposedly).

So, you get the latest “tested” version of VC when the theme itself is next updated. See the sticky topic top of the forum index on “updating visual composer …”

Andrei, the errors disappeared because I changed the theme to prove that I only get this error in your Newsmag theme, OK, No other themes I tested gives me the errors, Im trying to work with you guys to get this fixed, When is update coming up? Can you provide me with updated css files asap to solve this?
