Is there any way to make this work through the child theme so it doesn’t get overwritten when updates come along?

I’ve set up the correct directories as discused on the child theme page but it doesn’t seem to override the parent theme.

My site url is http://www.vbjusa.com, but you will see that issue isn’t there as I reverted my site to a previous version.

On the first link above you will see the screenshot from my staging site. This was a successful upgrade and grid-4 was perfect.

One the second link above you will see what the grid looked like after I pushed the site from staging to live. I can’t explain how it looks, you’ll just have to look at the screenshot.

What I can tell you is for the past two years I have used the same method to update the template and this is the only issue I have had so that is good. Just want to know if you have seen this issue before and if there is a fix.

I followed these instructions and the issue is not resolved. The Facebook link is still linking back to the homepage. I have updated the version of Newspaper, double-checked the facebook link, and used only the default newspaper plugins- same issue.

With my fingers crossed and backups in place I did the upgrade. And you’re right that it’s fairly simple to do. But since we have over a dozen of bulky plugins I always get cold sweat with updates like these.

What I do by the way, is simply rename the (folder) new version to Newsmag_3_1 and upload it next to the previous versions. I don’t see a reason why that should’t work, is it? And then I update our child theme accordingly. (CSS & functions.php).

The Twitter code is working. It just prevents the ad banner from loading inline.

It’s not only Twitter code. ANY embedded code, youtube or other, once the code is pasted in the article, it makes the inline ad code disappear.

This was happening prior to the updates being released. But we will do the updates this weekend.

Current theme’s version available on themeforest is V 7.3 so try to download the theme again and install it according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Also trey to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. Also make sure that you update Visual Composer at V 4.12 which is included in theme’s path: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

My issue with the mobile is much worse. Since the update to 7.3 using the Envato plugin, the webpage does not load on the mobile most of the time. If it loads then it takes up to 2 minutes. I deactivated the mobile plugin, delete it and then re-installed it but the problem is still there.
More than 20 percent of my visitors are mobile users.

Right now I have the revolution slider deactivated in order to work the woocommerce with the visual composer.

The problem is between those 3 plugins.

Thanks for your suggestion, I’ve added it on our todo list and when the time comes developers will consider it for future updates. However this may take some times as we have a very long list with feature requests and we have to take them one by one.
A temporary solution would be to use media queries with css in theme panelo > custom code > custom css:

@media (min-width: 768px){
.single .td-post-featured-image{
display: none!important;
}
}

This code will hide the featured image on posts for desktop and tablets and on mobile they will be visible.

Is this going to be a feature considered in the next update?
We use our publications to generate content for readers and with that we sell ads to monetize it.

We need ability to implement GOOGLE DFP or equivalent without the use of an additional plugin. You have built such an awesome program that this would be the icing on the cake so to speak.

multiple ads per space separable by category and track able or easy implementation of google dfp. I would offer our DFP account up if you need access to test things out
