Awesome!
I am still working on my first install of WooCommerce (after 20 years of doing ecommerce sites). I had only been working with ONE service category so far that had 6 items in it, and had not yet populated other categories — I’ve been obsessing about custom messages via hooks in functions.php and iPad portrait mode layouts — but was wondering about this topic the other day myself due to fact once I populate other service categories the “main” parent category would end up doing the same thing when I’d want to see 12-20 items per page or more.
Thanks for sorting that out 🙂
Seems with WooCommerce almost everything gets put into the functions file.
You would think they would include one “example fuctions” file someplace where you could copy out the stuff without having to look all over the place online or decipher their docs.
Thanks for that! I just updated my functions with your code.
Hi,
Unfortunately those files aren’t editable via child theme, you can find more details about child theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/child-theme-documentation-newsmag/
Please note though that the overwrite system for modules has been changed within latest theme update. As Emil also stated we will write a documentation on how to do this soon.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion, I’ve already add it on our request list and consider it for future updates.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Yes, in the next update will be also Buddypress.
Thanks!
Hi,
The Visual Composer latest version (4.4.3) will be tested and included in the next theme update.
We’re currently having it this under testing and we’re waiting to see if this is a stable version so if all is ok we will provide it within next week.
The grid elements function is also on our todo list, we are working on this and we’ll include a fix for this in the next update.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks
Hi,
Please try this custom css for tab’s blocks in Theme Panel > Custom Css:
.span8 .wpb_tabs .td_mod9 .item-details{
margin-left: auto !important;
margin-right: 300px;
}
.span8 .wpb_tabs .td_mod3 .item-details{
margin-left: auto !important;
margin-right: 117px
}
Result: http://screencast.com/t/C9w5UuxME – http://screencast.com/t/PIP1Mywq5Ed
Also try this css code for search: http://screencast.com/t/U17Oos309L
.td-header-style-8 #td-top-search{
position: absolute !important;
right: auto;
left: 0px !important;
}
.td-header-style-8 #td-top-search .dropdown-menu{
left: 0px !important;
top: 45px;
}
.header-search-wrap .dropdown-menu .btn{
right: auto !important;
left: 20px;
}
.header-search-wrap .dropdown-menu:before{
right: auto !important;
left: 30px
}
Please also consider that unfortunately we recently have decided that starting with the next theme update we will not include rtl support within the theme. You can still use the theme as it is but unfortunately you cannot updated it as you will lose the rtl support or you can update it and make yourself the necessary adjustments needed.
Thanks!
Hi,
You can change/add block title from block settings on the page: http://screencast.com/t/zPYNXaP4A Also for blocks/widgets added in the sidebar from Widget section: http://screencast.com/t/vebIUfzR
If you want to use a static homepage please create it using Visual Composer plugin and set it to frontpage: http://screencast.com/t/3vO9aluSPm7v
Normally the styling options you’ve set in the WordPress Theme Customize or in the Theme Panel – those options will not be effected by updating your theme, only custom modifications to the theme’s files will be overwritten.
Please follow this guide if you want to update your theme and use FTP method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ also update plugins that come with the theme’s files from the /plugins folder.
Also our documentation may be useful: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-documentation/
Thanks!

Hi,
We don’t recommend the use of it as the envato toolkit seems to cause some issues and could not update the theme right.
We have this on our attention for further testing. For now I suggest you use the FTP method from the update guide and do a full backup of your current theme installation and WordPress: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks
Hi,
First please make sure you also test this without any plugins active and leave just Visual Composer plugin active and also empty cache then check again.
If you still have this issue please make sure you download and update your theme to the latest version (4.6.2). Also if you are using child theme, please switch to the main theme and empty all caches and test again. If this solves the problem make sure you update the child theme to the latest version. Please let me know!
Thanks
Hi,
It’s only possible with custom code modifications and it’s not an easy task. I’ll add this on our list and i’ll talk with the team to see if we can implement it in a future updates.
Thanks!

Alin, can I also use “envato wordpress toolkit” for update my theme?
Hi,
I’ll add your request on our feature request list and consider it for future updates. You can achieve something similar by changing the placeholder thumb with an image you want to use.
Here is how you can change the placeholder image thumb: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-placeholder-images/
Thanks
Hi,
Like Chris suggested it is a good idea to save them, but normally these settings shouldn’t be lost(deleted) only custom modification to the theme’s files will be overwritten.
If you want to update the theme please follow this guide and use FTP method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ and also plugins that come with the theme’s files you can find them in /plugins folder.
Thanks!
Hi,
Unfortunately theme doesn’t have an option for this. The simplest way is to set a font for post title for example and see the result, so when you decided what font you want to use you can replace the default font.
We’ll also consider to add an option for this in future updates if more people will ask for it.
Thanks!
Hi,
You can update the theme(also if you updated) without any problems. There was a mistake in style.css file where was added 444 version but this is 4.6.2 version of the theme. Sorry for inconvenience!
Also Visual Composer latest version is 4.4.2 and you can find it in /plugins folder from theme files that you downloaded from themeforest: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Thanks!
Hi,
I had to add it separately using custom css. But not to worry, they will add more themes for the big slider in the next update, I guess.
hi lucian
So now VC version is 4.4.3
when you update vc version?
how long time?
You know, I was just looking for that.
There is *no* setting in latest WooCommerce (I just updated today), and there is not a setting in the theme panel I could find.
I am going to presume it’s using the default WordPress index setting from
WP > settings > reading ?
But don’t quote me on that 🙂
Hi,
a gallery like this would be nice. This gallery is made by the “Royal Slider” plugin, but I don’t want to use an external plugin to have a great and FAST gallery.
http://dev.promicabana.de/das-ist-eine-testgalerie/
The native gallery of your great theme is crap because of the loading time. That’s the only point I don’t like on this theme.
Can you please put this on your list for one of the next updates? I think, that would be a nice feature, not only for me, but also the thousand of other people, that are using your theme(s).
Thank you!
Hello,
my tagdiv social counter does not allow me to enter my Pinterest ID (but the icons are included in the plugin?)
Second issue: the widget and section headers have now a strange one pixel white space in the background, which I don’t like. Can you please check? I updated the latest version but it is still there – http://livinator.com/
Hi,
again; do *NOT* post questions here — post a NEW support topic for help with site optimization. This thread is for ME to post updated help on how to do this stuff.
@elteliblejvi
you cannot optimize anything being loaded from other sites than your own.
Good morning. By performing the update of the theme, my personal settings such as translations, changes css inserted in the space of the theme settings, remain or be lost?
Hi FiftyFifty,
When you updated the theme did you do it via FTP? If you did, it wont work properly.
As Chris suggested, you need to do the update as per his guide, even if you didn’t do it by FTP it’s worth going through it again just to be sure.
Add a new theme (any) to act as a temporary
Delete the old theme in wordpress back end
Delete the VC and social counter plugins
Clear all caches including browser
Disable all the other plugins
Reload the theme via wordpress uploader and activate
Upload the plugins manually from the theme download file not from the on screen message in the plugin page
Activate all plugins
Test again
If that doesn’t do it go back to the wp_booster/td_video_support.php file and check very carefully that you got all the http URL’s some are easy to miss. Chris had said don’t do the youtube shortlinks but I’ve done em all and it works still so I’m kinda hoping it hangs together for a minute.
In your post, don’t forget to tick “video” in format and select style 8 from the post templates, I use the full URL from youtube and enter it into the sidebar
If you are adding the video player block to the page you will have to fill in all of the fields and add a video to it for it to show correctly on the page, you don’t add the full URL though just the series of letters and numbers at the end part of the URL
If all of that fails you probably need to go to your hosting provider and ask them to add a php.ini file and switch on allow_url_fopen = on
After a whole day of trying to find out what was wrong I went back to the server people and asked them if the allow_url_fopen was set to on and he came back with this
“I placed some code in your public_html folders .htaccess file to make the php.ini file work”
Real helpful that…..
So it was in fact the server that was the problem but also the theme should shoulder part of the blame as it’s not configured for SSL and that isn’t made apparent when you buy the theme, I’d also like to add that while TagDiv support and Chris who I understand doesn’t work for TagDiv are very helpful none of the solutions to these basic problems are presented in a coherent way.
Searching several thousand questions on a forum isn’t the best bet because some of this stuff needs to really be done in an organised fashion. More documentation is probably needed and to be fair I will probably put something together to add to the forum just for people who are stuck with configuration and SSL issues but I’m no expert so could end up doing more harm than good?
Anyway, all is working so that at least one satisfied customer.
Let me know how you get on
Update: If you scroll down on the facebook popup you will see a second little button – I would like both links to go to the app on mobiles but if that’s not possible than at least the little like button.
Thanks
Ah, the info about the Envato API is great (if it works)! Thanks.
So I installed the Envato WP Toolkit[1] and even upgraded the theme. Sweet…
But… now I have two versions of theme:
1) The version that I downloaded from Envato on March 10, version 4.6.1 (according to styles.css) but which includes a folder named, “/patch_4.6.1_4.6.2/”, so, I assume this is actually v4.6.2, However it still includes Visual Composer 4.3.5… is that how it is supposed to be?
2) The version that I got in the update through the envato-wordpress-toolkit plugin: version 444 (According to styles.css)
Fortunately 4.6.1 is still the installed version, but there is also a 4.6.2 currently in release according to the product page (with an updated Visual Composer…).
