Hi Bettina,
It was a plugin that hasn’t been updated recently called “Page Links To” ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/ ). I should have tried deactivating everything first, but didn’t think this particular plugin would pose a problem.
After deactivating, the tagdiv text editor is working.
Thank you for your help!
Hello
Any updates???
Hi,
We had stopped updating the theme since 2 years ago, as there was a required switch to Tag Div composer.
We still use WP Bakery Builder.
Our website loading is slow, likely because we did not update the theme. We are looking at updating the theme again. Can we still use WP Bakery Builder as we are very used to using it?
Thanks
Duck
Yes, I was doing exactly as suggested, but in some cases, it seems that there was no difference between what I configured for the desktop and what I configured for the mobile version. But then, with your suggestions, I was able to update the font size to the different screen size responsively.
Before, I was trying for css and couldn’t find the correct element when inspecting element.
First of all, if my text doesn’t sound too good for a native English speaker, let them know that I’m using Google Translate.
Hello!
This issue has been discussed already here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/10-4-update-doesnt-work-with-woocommerce-and-stripe/
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hello!
It should work like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/OQ8m0Bz2mqGv
Please make sure you have the latest update for the theme, wordpress and plugins.
Try to do these steps as quickly as possible, so your visitors do not notice the process:
1. disable TagDiv Composer
2. uninstall(delete) TagDiv Composer
3. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
4. install TagDiv Composer
5. activate TagDiv Composer
6. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
Also, please start looking for a plugin conflict, deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!

I am using newspaper 10.3.8
I will download word press 5.7.2
is it compatible with our theme ?
should I diactivate the theme before the update?
Hello!
If you use Mobile Theme plugin and your page is made by TagDiv Composer, then that it is the problem. A solution for this could be to deactivate the Mobile Theme on that page. To do this, you need to edit the page normally and there you will find a setting in the right side:https://www.screencast.com/t/nKr3cv2eAdbE
If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
Hello!
This should not appear there if you disabled the options. Please make sure you have the latest update and plugins.
Also, please start looking for a plugin conflict.
Thank you!
It’s not working just writing “modified date” At the beginning of the date which showing the date when the whole page was updated from WP admin
I have updated to version 4.9.6 of Newsmag and when want to make changes in any option of the Theme panel it does not save them. Apparently a message appears that “the changes have been saved” but I re-enter and the changes disappear
Please help me.

Hi,
Right now we have only few elements with those options, for example if you use a post loop this has pagination -> https://i.imgur.com/rBz52Jv.png also the slide blocks is on big grid and big grid flex elements -> https://i.imgur.com/KZk8AZQ.png (unfortunately, for the moment those are all elements with those options, we hope that in coming updates, our theme to have new improvements, maybe for blocks too).
Thank you for your suggestions and understanding!

Hi, the prev/next pagination buttons available on blocks is very “old” looking.
When where there be different horizontal scrolling options for grouped items?
For example:
– a manual horizontal scrolling container for blocks with multiple items:
https://codeburst.io/how-to-create-horizontal-scrolling-containers-d8069651e9c6
– number or dot pagination so users can go direct to a section:
https://codyhouse.co/gem/css-pagination
Having those two features to assist users with scrolling would enhance the look of the website. It’s such a classy feature and quite common these days that it’s strange that it’s not an option in your theme.
Will this be added in any of the upcoming theme updates?
Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for your honest feedback. We appreciate taking the time to explain your point of view regarding our product and its functionality. We understand that you are not satisfied with the latest updates, but the other products you mentioned go beyond the functionality of a news WordPress theme. One of the aforementioned themes works with a universal page builder used by many other themes as well. In tagDiv Composer, we’ve created the functionality, the pre-built editable templates from the tagDiv Cloud Library, including the PRO demos which are totally customizable from top to bottom – everything is specially built to meet the requirements of a blog, news, magazine, or any other publishing-related websites.
The mentioned products are aimed at different industries and are sold outside the Envato Market, while their functionality and customers’ demands are totally distinct from ours. For example, some themes can be downloaded for free and to get the needed functionality you have to pay for additional plugins.
We have a list of suggestions and features’ requests and each of our updates is based on it. The more requested a feature is, the sooner we can implement it. However, we cannot implement every small feature or add compatibility with all the plugins available. I’m sorry that you feel disappointed.
If you feel that Newspaper doesn’t meet your expectations anymore, we’re really sorry to see you go. We are always here to assist you with your theme.
Thank you for understanding.
I have google map embedded on my page. The latest March 29th update caused issues with the interactivity.
I tracked down the issue to the cause –
eventlistener object – is getting redefined and override – and causes the click events to not be handled correctly.
Hi,
We are busy upgrading a website that’s running your theme. We ran all the updates and are comparing the staging and live site. On (warning – NSFW content!) https://www.qxmagazine.com/ under LGBT Bar News & Reviews you see a More dropdown with the custom Venues taxonomy. It no longer appears after doing all the upgrades.
Before the upgrades the Ajax dropdown – filter type field contained the taxonomy as a selectable option, but this is no longer the case. I believe the Filter type field now replaces it? We updated from 7 to 10 so can imagine lots has changed since then.
Many thanks.

Hello!
First of all, please start looking for a plugin conflict, deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
The second step is to try to optimize your website. If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-tips-for-newspaper-x-speed-high-cpu-usage-issues/
– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Please give it a try and follow the steps which I presented above about page speed.
Also, check our guide from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Please make sure to use our newest tool from the latest update called tagDiv CSS Analyzer which comes in handy to resolve some of your issues. Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
We tested our tool on our demos, and we have such great results!
Take a look in this topic because it could help you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/css-analyzer-step-by-step-and-doubts/
Thank you!
Update: I found that the wp_options table also contained an old entry for
s:29:"td_default_site_post_template";s:17:"single_template_5"
I removed that and made sure that the default template for the site was strill my custom cloud template.
I rechecked the database and the theme put this back into td_011:
s:29:"td_default_site_post_template"
Which still points to something called “Standard Template” that I cannot edit.
What can I do?
Kim
any update?
Hi,
I have uploaded the updated logo, retina logo, favicon, mobile logo, and mobile retina logos on my website https://firstnews.pk yet I see that my website shows an old favicon (which is the green color digit 1 in a rectangle) on the desktop website and it shows NEWS Paper theme logo on the mobile devices. I am so upset about this. This is ruining my branding. Please let me know how to fix this.
Also, I want to ask that I can enable different sizes of thumbnail views from the theme panel. Do these slows down the site? Does these loads in multiple sizes I have activated? Means one image will load in the 10 different sizes? Please advise. I am so worried about my website speed and the size of each image post. Please answer both questions clearly. This information is much important to me.
Thanks
Hi,
I am running Newspaper on my website milelion.com.
The issue now is: I installed Thirsty Affiliates to automatically convert a set keyword into a link. There is a function where it limits the occurrence to a set number.
Consider this example:
https://milelion.com/2020/06/07/review-citi-premiermiles-card/
The keyword here is “Citi PremierMiles”.
The global occurrence count is set to 3, which means only 3 instances of the keyword should be converted into a link. However, I can count much more than 3 mentions
Instance #1: Here’s the Milelion’s review of the Citi PremierMiles Card,
Instance #2: are compelling reasons to hold a Citi PremierMiles Card.
Instance #3: This Citi PremierMiles review forms part of my collection of credit card reviews.
Instance #4: Let’s start this review by looking at the key features of the Citi PremierMiles Card.
Instance #5: the main difference is that the Citi PremerMiles Mastercard does not earn any points for GrabPay top-ups, while the Citi PremierMiles Visa does.
I checked with Thirsty Affiliates and they told me to disable each plugin one by one, which I did. It still did not fix the underlying issue. I updated WP and the theme to the latest version, given the benefit of doubt that it may fix the issue – it didn’t.
They came back to me saying that the “the_content” filter might be running twice on the post page. I assume that’s the case because I used TagDiv composer to design the post layout, which makes sense that it will call “the_content” twice.
Are there any way I can go around or fix this issue completely?
Your help would be much appreciated.
