Hi,

We have WP 5.6 and sure that using Newspaper v10.3.9.1. We don’t use any other plugins except TagDiv’s and image lazy-load or optimization plugins besides the theme LazyLoad.

Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin plugin serves as a temporary solution, enabling the migration script for website to give plugin and theme authors some more time to update and test their code.

So what’s your permanent solution to fix this problem?

Does this happen is because of the theme update?

Ok, I updated the theme to v10.3.9.1 and the case is as follows:

1. Image included to the article (featured image) – the lightbox settings of all featured images in all articles are set off. Before first update (to v10.3.9) these settings were set on. Now it looks like I have to turn it on manually in every article to fix the problem. Screen – https://imgur.com/a/eU6QRAW

2. Problem with Complianz plugin. It’s strange, because problem sometimes appears and sometimes disappears. I can’t find out what it depends on. While taking the above screenshot the problem was visible (you can see the notification on the left side). But some other times it doesn’t show up.

It would have been good to have a step-by-step document to update all parts of the pre-built theme!

Thank you for the update! I’ll be on the lookout for a better fix whenever the devs can get that sorted out.

Again the same thing.
Update and the page is a mess.
1. The header is now wrong, (the header image voers everthings, the dimension is set too thin, plus when I tried to import a header (default pro) the editor gives content error messages).

2. Since the update, the posts do not feature the sidebar.

To fix this, I’ve edited the plugin directly under plugins -> plugin editor (WARNING to anyone else reading this, if tagDiv updates their plugin, there is a risk they will overwrite this change and you’ll have to make it again).

Then I chose tagDiv composer from the dropdown on the top right and clicked apply. I navigated to legacy -> common -> booster and clicked on td_module.php. Then I clicked into the code area and typed cmd-f (ctrl-f for windows) and searched for this:

class="td-image-wrap

I replaced that line that starts with $buffy, with the following code:

                    $no_thumbnail = 'no-thumb';
                } else {
                    $no_thumbnail = '';
                }
                $buffy .= '<a>href . '" rel="bookmark" class="td-image-wrap ' . $no_thumbnail . $video_popup_class . '" title="' . $this->title_attribute . '" ' . $video_popup_data . '>';

I now have a “no-thumb” class which shows up then there is no thumbnail, and am able to use that to hide the thumbnail anchor (“a”) element entirely via CSS.

Hi Vlad S,

The point is that it would save me time if they informed in changelog what was updated in the plugins folder, or at least to inform which plugins were updated or not, it was already a help to facilitate the update.

Thank you friend, but Vlad are not writing to us, but to those who do not really understand the technical details and will not check what we are writing here and trying to prove, but simply read that the update is focused. Pure marketing, nothing personal, but for us it can be translated as go anв …. yourself.(( It is calculated that 99% of people will simply decide not to waste their time and not write the same thing 300 times.

This sounds like the same issue we are having where changing images is simply ignored by the composer, it doesn’t add them. It also won’t change the existing images in a template. You can delete them and then the composer doesn’t update the content. Started with 10.3.9

Calin, we’ve got Vlad chatting to us on a similar thread as well, perhaps the two can be brought together to avoid duplication.
