Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If there is still a problem you can try other method for theme update -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

Another update: Once i deactivate tagDiv Composer the error gone, yet i lose all the design so probably the error on class “td_style” as it is mentioned on the front page as Fatal Error, please i need a quick solution guys!

Please make sure that you are using last version of Newspaper, v10.3.4 also make sure that the amp is updated, the amp plugin should look like this -> https://i.imgur.com/1lfXg94.png
If there is still a problem, make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Since I updated the theme a few months ago I can’t get the footer working properly in single posts or categories. It’s all in one column instead of 3 columns.
I am using the ‘Default Pro’ layout.

Hello, the THEME PANEL page has suddenly collapesed, it is not functioning. All menu items on the left appear in grey and no content is being displayed. I did not install any plugins, nor did I perform any updates. This happened suddenly.

In most cases yes this should be enough, but if you want to be 100% sure, then you need to use the FTP/cPanel method (to manually delete all old theme files and plugins and reinstall/update the theme)-> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

Update: just to give you an insight, i deactivate all the plugins, then i start activating them one by one to localize the problem, I’ve noticed that when i deactivate tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, amp website version works totally fine on mobile regardless the settings whether it is AMP, Mobile, or Mobile + AMP, but once i activated it i notice the same problem but only on the home page, not the others!!
To customize and add the favicon in no-thumb (no feature image), I ask where can I update the “no-thumb” images?
Only update all images in theme folder “/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/assets/images/no-thumb/”?
Is there no other way ???

I cannot see plugin for activation in Newspaper dashboard. On the Update tab there is Activation button, but when I click on the button this is shown: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

Hello! I’m new to the Newspaper theme [all great so far!] and I’m hoping you can give me some advice/direction on this. My client has a very old version of the Newspaper theme on their current site [v. 4.6.3] and we recently purchased licensing with a new account since the old developer is no longer working for them.
I’ve been working with the updated theme on a dev site to familiarize myself with the theme, change the settings, and update a few existing pages. Because my client’s site is very heavily trafficked, they don’t want the live site taken down at all. Given that, I’m hoping you can tell what the best practice would be in this situation with regard to installing the new theme on the live site and also the best way, if possible, to import a few updated pages from the dev site to the live site so I don’t have to rebuild everything from scratch. Thanks in advance for your help!
The problem: we are trying to insert the a code to implement a third-party advertisement system based on Google Tag. This code is to coexist with current Ad Sense ads.
We have tried from multiple places to have it “live” on our webiste, unsuccessfully.
Places we tried:
– the slot included in the template
– template’s header.php directly from theme’s root
– template’s header.php directly from a Newspaper child folder.
Here are our conclusions:
You can post content within the header.php, and we can see it live in production environment, i.e. general comments or random text. However, the previously mention code does not update.
Here the steps we did.
1st. We enter the theme folder by FTP and then create a child.
2nd. We create a header.php with the modifications we needed.
3rd. we purged in wordpress
4th. we review the changes.
nothing happened.
We did this process repeatedly and the changes we made to “header.php” were not reflected.
then:
we made a backup of “header.php”
We put the changes in a dummy copy of the “header.php”.
We purge
The changes did not take effect.
then:
We eliminated the “header.php” that we were working on, to see if the changes actually took effect. We purged. On the page, the header disappeared. We retrieve the original “header.php”. Then purged. The page header appeared again.
These steps are carried out repeatedly.
In addition, we tried to create a log in the console and we could not see it either, meaning there was no error logging for none of the above steps.

Newspaper X theme upon installing to wordpress only shows three options welcome, plugins and Support. Other options like install demos, system status, updates, theme panel, activate theme, etc are not available. What should I do? How can I make this available?

I’m using newspaper theme 10.3.3 and when I click on the update theme button, it doesn’t update. It only takes me to WordPress Updates page. Is there anything I’m missing?
