Keep having appearance issues, particularly with the home page looking like a bad 2003 design home page and code showing. On another page it doesn’t display properly and it says “There has been a critical error on your website.” I’m at a loss. I have run a number of sites with WordPress for years and never encountered the constant problems that I have with Newspaper.
A week ago, only the home page wouldn’t display properly, but other pages were fine. I renewed my subscription to support in order to ask for help, and magically, the entire site started displaying properly, which was quite frustrating. I felt conned. I shouldn’t have to keep updating support to have the software work properly. Now, none of it is displaying properly. I got a message in the dashboard saying to update PHP, but it is up to date. Please help!

Thank you, I was able to get most of the way through updating everything – child theme, theme panel settings, etc. The only part is I noticed that all of my widgets are missing now from the Widget area:

I’m thinking this was somehow cleared out after doing the update? Is it possible to reimport all of the widgets or do I have to set them all up again?

In this case I think that the better way it will be to make a staging website where to set the actual version, delete the theme using FTP and replace it with the one from v10.3.1 also deactivate all plugins until you make the update, after that go in welcome section and install the theme plugins -> https://i.imgur.com/ilG68q4.png if evrithing is go normal, then you can start to activate the plugins one by one and check the website, also if you are using a child theme, you need to replace it with the one from Newspaper X package.
From Newspaper 10.3.1 you’ll be able to use the theme update option -> https://i.imgur.com/sRolm9m.png

we have a site running Newspaper theme 9.2.2 and we’re having problems with the TD Composer plugin and need to update it so that we can get the YouTube API settings incorporated into the theme panel.
Last time we tried updating the theme (from 9.2.2 to 9.7.2) was back in May 2019 and it bricked the site so we decided to hold off for a while.
Is there an article that lists out the steps in detail for successfully updating? For example do we need to go from 9.2.2 to 9.7.3 first, then jump to 10.3.1?

I’m unable to update any settings from theme panel. whenever I try to update any setting fromm theme panel (like logo or favicon), there appears a loading gif icon continuously, until I force refresh the tab.
I tried everything but I’m unable to solve this, Please help me soon!
I am trying now to fix for the 9.7.2 version … I am unable now to update my website to latest 10.X because you changed all the system and is a big mess for me now bc my sites handle sometimes 10.000 concurrent users and I still don’t know if your 10.X version can handle all that traffic in my dedicated server….

As I can see from the code the tdc_content in post part is set to the current content -> https://i.imgur.com/B9TtQIx.png indeed this appears in update_post_meta too and in other places, unfortunately, I’m not a developer, I’m a support member, I’m not able to explain the entire code, sorry for the inconvenience!
Unfortunately you can disable the post view only from frontend, inside the post this will still appear, there is no option for this, sorry!

Please notice that you are using an very old version of the theme, we recommend to make a full backup to your website and database also we recommend to make first time the update on a staging website were to set your current version and make the update.
Also is possible to do not work correctly, in Newspaper X the theme builder is tagDiv Composer and all the pages and templates are made using this builder.
As a suggestion, if you are using child theme or other plugins, please deactivate them, install the theme via FTP activate the theme plugins from welcome section -> https://i.imgur.com/wmVoNmX.png cehck the website and only after that activate the plugins one by one and check the website.

My site is Lawyer.com.au but none of the Theme Composer is working. It won’t save or allow me to make changes to the front end.
Updated to latest Newspaper version and everything under Themepanel no longer works. When I click any of the sections such as Header, Footers, Ads, etc… nothing happens. Also if I try to activate the theme nothing happens. I am still running php 7.2 could this be the problem?

Problem #1
I just updated the theme, and a lot of blocs on different pages are now corrupted.
Some colors on text blocs disappeared after the update, and when I try to correct it via the tagDiv composer, it’s just full bugged and I can’t even access the blocks.
In the same spirit, some images blocs are now displayed as base64 (I guess) when I’m on edit mode, and I can’t even access the bloc to edit it.
Problem #2
When trying to import the Animals Pro category page (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_animals_pro/category/animals/), the image space shows on the tagDiv editor, I can set an image as background, which is displayed in preview mode, but is ignored when used in a category, and I can’t find any documentation about that.

If I’m right this is the error you get -> https://i.imgur.com/m4DkfWk.png then what Vlad mentioned is true, there is a conflict on few elements between tagDiv Composer and WPBakery, for me this problem is solved after I deactivate the WPBakery -> https://i.imgur.com/1UFeWnp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/feXoejx.png, if you deactivate the WPBakery and problem persist, please make sure that you do not have anther plugin that can provide a conflict, also make sure that you clear all cache.
Our developers were inform about this plugin conflict and will try to solve it for the coming updates.

I have a problem with youtube list videos is not working
I already have updated the theme to 10.3.1 version and I already have configured the youtube api key but the youtube list control is not working
it shows the next errors

I have already set in the Theme Panel:
Themepanel -> Translations -> TAGS ‘ASX CODE’
But is still showing as ‘TAGS’.
Seems the latest theme update may be causing an issue.
