My start page has many errors after update 9.7. No only but also at the bottom I see the residual code [/tdc_zone]. When I go into TDComposer there is yellow error that I cannot because it is immediately pushed over by a red error message that says:
Error at rows: 7(models) : 8(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)Please not that this comes before I did any edits, so there is no CTRL+Z.
I think the yell error may say that this page was not created in TDC.
When I look into the HTML, [/tdc_zone] does not seem to residual there. It seems part of the proper closing:
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][tdc_zone type="tdc_content"]
[/tdc_zone][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

I’ve just updated from Newspaper 9.6.1 to 9.7.4. I am using square thumbnails for all images throughout the site. It was a fairly easy hack back then just editing td_config like it is outlined here:

However, I can’t find td_config in the new version. Can you point me to the file that includes the thumb registrations?

Hello. I have updated my theme to 9.7.4 version. (Great update, Thanks)
But, now I have a problem.
When I activate the mobile theme plugin, pages cant be loaded on mobile devices, shows ERROR 500. But still working on Desktop. When I disable the mobile plugin, then, mobile devices loads pages fine.
Ant Idea what can I do to Fix it?

same here. seems like the ‘Single post share’ element is broken in the latest update: e.g. the element does not conform to inner column boundaries.

this solution works for me as well. Looking forward, that a future update will fix the Problem at the roots. Mention the change in the changelog maybe, so we can delete those files.

What if I want to get rid of the complete text on certain blocks while keeping them for others.

Dear, unfortunately I have an urgent problem. After the new update I activated the mobile theme and set it to AMP only. Now I get only in Responsive / Mobile, of course, a faulty search result box. Disabled mobile plugin, everything is ok.
In the setting Mobile + Amp it is normal. Incorrect in the AMP setting. In the search box no background is displayed. Photos too big. Column is not right.
I’ve already disabled everything in AMP Settings. No success.
The problem is unfortunately urgent, because the search is mobile only limited use.

I found a way to solve it “temporarily” and by cheating a little.
It consists of copying the code from the template to a page, and use this page as a “false category” in the menu of the web. To avoid duplicate content, I recommend using yoast seo and putting in these fake pages, noindex-nofollow.
In this way, we can maintain “categories” with the normal aesthetics of cloud templates, in mobile version.
Another option would be to add individually in each of these false pages, a canonical rel label, towards the original category. But I can’t find any plugin that allows me to edit the head of pages individually.

We have been using Newspaper theme for our site, we recently updated theme to its latest version from v9 and many things broke on our site. We found that the main theme has moved parts and include folder to its plugin, we had customized may files in these folder via child theme. Now as the files are moved to plugin we are not able to overwrite it in child theme. Is there any other alternative way we can customize this ? we know we can update plugin file directly but that is not feasible.
Please suggest how we can overwrite plugins files easily.
We also have some speed related issues, but we will discuss it on another ticket.

I just updated my blog to 9.7.4 and got two problem. my blog link is https://irfan.id.
1. Post font don’t follow as font setting. Please look at this pic https://prnt.sc/ohk7wr, post content font should be Sans Light, but it’s not (blue box). Meanwhile, font for the list followed as setting Sans Light (green box). Post content and Lists font should be the same.
2. I tried to change mobile theme font. But it doesn’t change the font, only font size changed.

Hi, team tagDiv.
Everything was fine prior to update. But after that the search icon disappeared while the menu icon and logo are overlapping each other. It results in serious fall in performance in terms of UX. It happens only on the mobile version of the theme.

But coping those files is just a hotfix for me.
When will this error be fixed, so I can delete those two files?
I can see it coming that with one of the next updates, these files may cause problems and the support-answer will be, that there are two files in the childtheme directory, that shouldn’t be there đ

Unfortunately the responsive version of a category page can not be display on mobile theme for the moment, there was no implementation in our theme for the category page in this update, maybe this will be add in the next update.

What exactly do you mean by:
“Megamenu option â Easily order your subcategories by Name or ID;”
in the last update?
Because there is a possibility in the MegaMenu for example only two upper categories without the sub-categories to be indicated?

Since Newspaper v9.7 was made some major changes in the theme core and you want to try the new update of the theme, we recommend to do it on localhost or on sub-domain, not on the live website, in this way you can check if the layout and functionality are all good and only after that you can make the update properly.

Glad you can now achieve the desired results, using a child theme. We will try to improve the child theme capabilities in the future, where possible. Also if there will be future modifications to the theme structure, we will try to not let this affect the child theme functionality.

They could be moved there after a theme update, or when switching themes. They will remain configured, all that remains is to place them in their sidebars.

Hi,
Looks like WPBakery has released another update, that would be the second one this week. At the time of creating the update package for the theme the latest WPBakery was 6.0.4, which we included in it.
We don’t recommend to update to 6.0.5 in this case, before we first test this version and include it with the theme.
There was an issue with 6.0.3, we fixed it and we were ready to add it to the theme package, and then WPBakery released 6.0.4 and there was no need for a fix as everything works fine with it.
Let me know if you have more questions, or if there are issues with the theme after the latest update.
