Before you make some updates please make sure that you make a full backup to your website.
After you make the update please check the theme plugins and activate tagDiv Composer if this plugin is not activated, also if you are using cloud templates activate tagDiv Cloud library too.

The mobile layout is different from the desktop layout only the responsive version of theme show the desktop layout on mobile.

Unfortunately the mobile theme do not take the desktop version, maybe in coming update will be some more option to can make the layout form mobile theme more friendly.
Please provide some more details and some screenshots from were I can see what is the problem.

Usually when the mobile version appear on desktop is a cache problem, please make sure that you clear all cache ( we recommend to clear cache after each update ), and try again.

Today, I downloaded and installed Newspaper Version 9.6. Of course, I also tried to install and activate the mobile plugin. Again, it failed.
So, I deactivated all of the installed plugins. I then installed and activated the mobile plugin only. Guess what, it worked; yes, it was activated successfully that way.
But it wasn’t supposed to be that hard. Wouldn’t you think this software update method should be much easier?
Next, the author said, “The tagDiv Mobile Theme now works best with the AMP plugin to provide a complete solution for your content on mobiles. Yet the tagDiv AMP plugin has been discontinued.” So, I deleted the tagDiv AMP plugin. Is that right?
Furthermore, concerning plugins like Jetpack and iThemes Security, do you recommend I use them?

I have installed Version 9.6 but still i am not getting last updated. If I am enabling show under under post settings it simply shows date. If I enabled SHOW MODIFIED DATE which is under block setting -> More info then also its doesnt show what I am looking for.

I did a test of the site using Google AMP Tester and everything is OK http://prntscr.com/mu91fq. The AMP share buttons has 20Kb style sheets that are required in order to be able to show all share buttons that has plugin (without special options). But that should not be a problem as the regular AMP display should not have any custom specific code added. But if your theme adds for example 35Kb code than the size will be over 50000 bytes.
The AMP module of plugin itself does not add any scripts – just inline styles to show share buttons. As of the AMP limitations all special and multipurpose buttons cannot run – for example the share button. I just did a test again on site and saw that the style itself was updated and it does not have any important calls or other breaking data.
I also check the source you are using to test your site. I am not sure that is providing any useful information. It is impossible to detect with a script is a style sheet used or not. There are media queries that run on various device resolutions, a code for dynamic loaded content and etc. All that is impossible to be detected.

But we avoid to advertise the AMP support as a plugin official feature. As I remember in past another customer has a similar issue with the styles. I dig again in the history of the issue with the other customer I found the demo link that was provided in past https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/td-post-investing-take-into-account-the-legal-perspective/amp/ – if you browse the code you can see that theme is generating a nearly 40kb of allowed 50kb of custom styles. So technically they does not leave any possible option for other plugins or features to add custom code as 10kb is almost nothing.

After I just did the update, the website doesn’t want to load any more, instead I get the error message:

I did the update via FTP and also deleted the old files before. I also deactivated plugins, but it doesn’t help. (I now import the old version again and hope that the site works then).
On my test system, which is one to one copy, it works flawlessly.

Hi, if I install the new version of Newspaper updated, will i lose the changes that i did on the WordPress’ “Editor”? For examples, codes i wrote on the header.php or the facebook pixel.
Is there any way i can make a child theme so all the edits i do on the code remain when I’ll update the theme?
I bought “Newspaper 9” 5 months ago, I’m happy with it but I don’t want to lose all the code edits on the WordPress editor.
Is there a solution to this? Like “create a child theme” for Newspaper 9?
Updated to version 9.6 and it got rid of all my category templates. Basically changed the site. I restored to 9.5 back-ups until this is fixed.
Every update, I’m there looking for where the heck can I activate this new setting. Hope next time you could point us to it in the changelog? Thanks
The Old AMP plugin still working well for me. The new update by removing the tag div amp plugin was something i didn’t expect. So will I be able to keep using the old AMP plugin in future?

I encounter several important issues after updating the theme on website https://www.streamwijzer.nl in this case. These are the following:
– Homepage / other pages layout mobile theme: all pages show no content anymore (on mobile) after updating and using the mobile theme plugin. Severe issue which causes the fact that I’m not able to use the mobile theme plugin now.
– AMP page layout is horrible: before the update, the AMP page layout was perfectly in line with my theme. Now, it is an ugly coloured bar in top with a standard WordPress AMP theme that is not in line with my website design at all. For example, see https://www.streamwijzer.nl/bohemian-rhapsody-netflix/amp/
– AMP pages not tracked: suddenly, the web pages with AMP in the new layout are not tracked by Google Analytics anymore, also after inserting the GA tracking code in the correct form in the AMP plugin. An example that is not tracked is https://www.streamwijzer.nl/bohemian-rhapsody-netflix/amp/.
These issues are severe and cost a serious decrease in users. Can you please provide help quickly?

In today’s update of March 96, 2019) the echgelog states that the option ‘We’ve added Single Post Modified Date shortcode’. However, I can not find this option anywhere in the theme panel. How can I turn this on?
I had used the Header Builder feature to create a custom header template used across my site. After the latest update today the site header displayed was shortcode text. In TagDivComposer Header builder option no longer available. Can’t remove header row to fall back to standard header style, nor can I apply my header template in the theme panel. Please help!

I switched to new update and now it is not working the amp version. I followed the tutorial as you have described but the amp testing tool it looks, it is not an amp properly.
It says
Invalid AMP page “head > style[amp-boilerplate]”
So you haven’t fixed this issue with the last update of Newspaper?
Every time you release an update my site has issues. Not sure why I’m still surprised, or why I update, but probably because it seems there is a good security reason to do so. But the Live CSS and page builders no longer work correctly. Several changes made via Live CSS are no longer effective. What is the problem here? Seriously ready to switch themes.
