We have recently started facing issues with the category URLs for the category pages created on TD composer and otherwise coded.
We had created category pages using the TD composer and added then to the menu. We also assigned the templates to the respective categories using the theme panel.
This seems to work if there is one level category as in the URL for the category shows like
url is https://www.joshtalks.com/joshkosh/career/
However wherever there is a subcategory the URL is that of the template 🙁
https://www.joshtalks.com/joshkosh/tdb_templates/interview-kaise-dein/
Which should be
https://www.joshtalks.com/joshkosh/career/naukri-chahiye/interview/
This link redirects to the category template again.
This is a bilingual website using WPML (Compatible plugin)
Now we had already have an issue with incompatibility between WPML and cloud templates. The issue is that we cannot assign category templates to translation languages as in there is no option in theme settings> categories> per category settings.

We had opened a ticket with support and you were quite helpful saying that this issue will be looked into

WPML support was also very helpful and said that they are in touch with the Tagdiv compatibility team and this is in process.
So meanwhile we decided to code the pages in the category settings.
However this is running into major issues with the category URLs. The primary categories are all right

This seems to be very odd and so we decided to try the basics
Updated the theme to 9.5 and the plugins too
System status us all Green
Disabled all plugins and it’s not a plugin issue especially not a WPML issue
We are kind of struggling with this. I would really appreciate if you could let us know if we are doing something wrong 🙁

I have the latest verison of newspaper theme and i ve been having this issue for a while. I have home page created using the visual composer that comes with Newspaper. I set up the Block 12 to show the latets posts of my site. While this work the number of comments shows on the block is always zero, then as you scroll down to older post, the comments counts always shows 620. even i have couple of comments.
I tried the update comments count plugin, tried removing disquss, its always the same issue. Even though the comments counter is correct if you go the category page.

Hello, I am building a site and when today I have updated the theme, the site does not load. There is a white page and that’s it. With the child theme it does not work, while if the parent theme is active everything is ok. What is the problem? Please answer me as soon as possible, it is urgent.

The theme panel settings will be saved in the database, including any code entered in the theme panel. This way they will not be lost after a theme update

If you make an update to the theme all settings from theme panel will remain, only the changes from theme files will be override

We’ve haven’t received an update for our theme (Newspaper 9) we have only just bought the theme so our issue isn’t theme support etc,
We installed the theme via FTP and then verified the theme via front-end.

It did work before and this is the first time it has not worked.
The only reason it is working on the video you were working on is because I took a screenshot of the video and added it as the featured image. I didn’t have to do that before. The featured video generated its own image.

It seems you made the update to Gutenberg. In this edior there is no more sidebar as he one mentioned on he forum as the mce editor was changed to Gutenberg. You do not even have the newspaper theme installed so I cannot check the issue mentioned on our forums.

Thanks for quick update. Just a concern, is it going to remove the header space from homepage or all pages and posts?
I’ve two such pages where this white space concerns me and that’s where I wish to remove it.
From what I can see you use a plugin for the gallery, which has it’s own lightbox feature. The theme gallery I was talking about is this one

Maybe after the update there is a conflict between the theme and that plugin. I can’t say for sure, we haven’t made any testing with gallery plugins.
There could be errors, maybe try and check with the browser inspector to see if there are errors in the console after you update.

Could you post a link to where this is happening, as an example? but this will require that you update again.
Or provide us with admin access at contact@tagdiv.com after updating so we can check first hand these galleries.
I use the latest theme version as well, the galleries made as specified above in the classic editor, or classic element in Gutenberg work same as before

I should note that this feature is in it’s early stages, it will be improved or some aspects may change in coming updates.

There is only one inline ad spot provided by the theme. I believe there are plans to add more in a coming theme update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Please not that we need to test all versions of WPBakery that we include in our theme, in this way we fix the bugs we find, and the WPBakery 5.7 was made in 12-13/02/2019 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7I54SwMCKTH this version is not tested, you’ll need to wait until we make the next theme update.

@maree If you use an older theme version, try to update and then check if the same happens. Also if you use an older PHP version try to upgrade to 7 or 7.1.
