Hello all,
Please keep in mind that Visual Composer come bundled with our theme and you will have to use only the version which comes with the theme to achieve better results. Our latest version of the theme is Newspaper 7.1.1 and the right version for required plugins are -> Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1. First of all, you will have to delete the old version of Visual Composer from the Plugins area and then install the VC from the Premium Plugins area, which comes bundled with the theme.
Please notice that the Visual Composer is fully tested with our theme and works as expected.

First of all, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins and then check if your problem is still there please try to use the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.1.1) which come bundled with the latest version of required plugins (Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1). Please ensure that you are using them and the update was been made only via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Also, for ruling out the conflicting plugins, please try to disable all of them and leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme.
If your problem is still there after this, please try to make a new clean install from scratch and check the results.

2. Please make sure that the parameters from system status have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also provide more specific details about how can I duplicate this issue in my side so I can inspect it closer and get back to you with a more accurate answer.
3. You don’t have to activate Visual Composer plugin as it is bundled with the theme. Theme’s license allows you to use Visual Composer but you don’t need a license key for it.

I have a sub domain in a Multi Network used your theme, and here are problems:
- 1. When I activate visual composer included in the theme’s setup package on that sub domain, it turned me to a ftp login page. After logging in, I was redirected to a “do not have permission” page.
- 2. Activating the td-api-plugin included in the theme’s setup package on my sub site make it unable to handle request.
- 3. Though I have inputted the purchase code, Visual Composer menu in dashboard still have the “Product License” tab

3)Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for sticky ‘Join us’ if you want this but please notice that you will have to do this only if you customize it using some PHP/HTML/CSS (position:fixed). This request involves additional customization and we cannot provide this type of services because it is not covered by our support. If you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you.

2. Ok with 4.11.2. but not higher. How can I know when I can upgrade the plugin?
3. Maybe do I need to create a new topic. It seems It’s possible, in the sidebar, to have fixed part. For exemple, the ‘Join us’ block can be always visible (when I scroll down).

Please make sure that your server meets the requirements specified in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ and also check if the parameters from system status have the values indicated here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
From our reports the theme requires more resources when on the page are loaded blocks which uses ajax pagination. When one of next/prev or load more buttons are clicked the theme make a request at admin-ajax.php file and the server must handle more requests.
Also there are many factors which can influence how your server handle the site. Try to configure the site in a very simple way so the queries number to be as low as possible. Try deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then check for a period of time how site is running.
We also recommend to use a plugin for cache. The theme is tested and works fine with WP Super Cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ You could also use a cdn service and mysql query cache for a better optimizations and fewer queries: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ – http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/query-cache.html

Hi,
Your image seems to have a resize propriety on it that is not added by our theme. It could be a tool for images that you use. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your images again. If you have any image optimization tools on your server, please also disable those.

Please make sure you use the latest theme version and the update is done properly. Try to reinstall the theme by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If the problem is still there after the update/reinstall please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Then try your theme panel again.

As you can see, the Visual Composer has an important role in our theme because it is a required plugin. Surely, you can use the theme without this composer but unfortunately, you do not really have many options to customize the theme. Without this plugin, you can add only the text and images, without Blocks/Modules and other feature which makes the theme to be different than others.

Is it possible to use your theme with a simple design, like what the themes Bimber and FlexMag, without the visual composer plugin ?
This theme offer a lot of good designs, but has a lot of flaws, like lack of speed, sometimes duplicating the home page of the website.
For example, Bimber and FlexMag theme offer a good design, and their themes only uses the WordPress tool to customize the theme, and, of course, without the framework, it offers a tremendous speed thanks to their theme.
If there is no solution to change your NewsPaper theme (or theme NewsMag)
Hope you soon launch a new theme for news, which can have a good design without visual or compose framework.

First of all, please ensure that you have fully updated your theme using the FTP method because this is the surest method in this regard and then you will have to increase the system status parameters according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/. So, if you cannot increase these parameters, please consult your hosting provider and ask them to do this thing. Try to disable all the active plugins and leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

I installed Newspaper a few days ago and have continuously gotten a “HTTP error” when I try to upload media (photos) in Insert Media. I do not get this error if I use any other theme and upload a photo.
What can I do to fix this? I also purchased visual composer because I thought that would help and it has not.

That means you have a plugin conflict. In this case you must disable all plugins except visual composer again and then re-activate the plugins one by one and test your smrtlist after each one you activate so you can figure out which one causes the issue. When you identify the one that conflicts, you must remove/replace it with another that does not create problems. Unfortunately not all plugins are compatible with premium themes.

Thank you for the answer. I did everything you said.
1. I disabled all plugins.
2. I activated only three plugins: Visual Composer, Mobile Theme, WP Super Cache.
3. I cleared all caches in WP Super Cache (I don’t use CDN).
Then I went to the one of the posts on my website from mobile phone. I saw the mobile version of the post.
Then I visited the same post from PC. And theme showed me mobile version again. I tried to clear cache. It didn’t help.
I tried another way. First I opened another post from PC. I got standart version of the post. I visited the same post from mobile phone. And from mobile format was also as for PC, not mobile version.
So, as I understood, WP Super Cache caches the version of post for the device that first enter the post. And then shows this version for all devices.

The code you use is a standard visual composer block. You can create a block on a dummy page and sort it the way you want from block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ and then replace your shortcode with the one from the new sorted block.
