Please make sure you update your theme to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also update the visual composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You need to also uypdate the social counter plugin in newspaper 7 as the old one will not work anymore.
The issue with visual composer was caused by the latest version of wp and visual composer under 4.11

Hi,
The visual composer plugin cannot be activated as it;s a free version we provide bundled with the theme. The free version does not require activation but visual composer did not remove the activation message for these versions. You can ignore the message and use the plugin as it is.

Unfortunately i cannot access your site so I cannot say for sure what is wrong. Please disable all plugins excepot visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. We have set a row with 3 columns(1/2+1/4+1/4).
At the second column we want to add a Image carousel with “Carousel size” (233×300)

Hi,
Please first try the theme without any other plugins so you can rule out a plugin conflict. Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then check the site again. If the problem is still there, something might have gone wrong when installing the theme. Please try to delete it and install it again via ftp by using this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Also if you use a child theme, please disable it and use the main theme.

I suppose that you are using the latest version of WordPress 4.5.2 and an older version than 4.11.2 for Visual Composer, right? So, please notice that the latest version of WordPress ‘break’ the Visual Composer and this issue was fixed in 4.11.2. So, if you are using the Newspaper 6.6.1, you should try to update to the latest version of the theme (Newspaper 7.0.1) via FTP because this is the surest method for updating. Also, please notice that each version of the theme has it own version of Visual Composer which are fully compatible with it. If you do not want to make an update to the latest version of it, you will have to downgrade your WordPress and Visual Composer plugin to an older version of them. I suggest you doing a full backup to your data and then you should update your theme to the latest version, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

@ederpira, please notice that the it is not necessary to have the premium version for Visual Composer because this will not come bundled with our theme and also, the theme has not been tested with the premium version of Visual Composer.

For more information about this feature, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/top-bar-templates/ Also, please try without any untested plugins which could interact with our theme and can cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

By default the theme does not have options which allows you to customize the category page using Visual Composer. This may be possible only by editing the code. Here is an example:

By default you can’t use Visual Composer on category page. Each category page can be customized from theme panel > categories: http://screencast.com/t/b39J3GUDMl There is a possibility to insert elements from Visual Composer on category page by editing the code. I need to make my category pages into mini-homepages, or ‘hubs’.
To do that, I need to customize each category page like I do the homepage. Use visual composer, place blocks in certain places and load them with articles in different subcategories from that main category, that type of thing. Each category page would be set up a bit differently, depending on the available sub-categories.
Is there a way I can do that?
How did you get VC working again? I’m running 6.6.1 Newspaper Theme and I keep getting a spinning wheel when I use Visual Composer. I’m going to do an update soon, but wondered what you did to fix.

Please notice that each our demo has their own style with different Visual Composer elements and Revolution Slider. If you have installed the baby blog, you will have to make a new page and customize it by your desire using these elements. Also, please notice that the Revolution Slider come bundled with our theme and it is not necessary to register to use the sliders. This seems to be a plugin conflict as you have a js error in your console: http://screencast.com/t/LA5gCa1WI
Images are not disaplying as the image animation effect (lazyload) breasks first upon a js error. If you disable lazyload from the theme panel, your images will display again, but the problem will not be solved as other parts of the site that use javascript could also break if you have this conflict. The best thing to do is disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then enable plugins one by one and see which one causes the issue.

Please ensure that you have fully updated your theme to the latest version of it only through FTP because this is the surest method for updating and then, please make sure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer ->4.11.2 and also, the latest version of WordPress ->4.5.2. Try to clear all your caches and check the results.

For your second request, please ensure that you are using the latest version of theme (Newspaper 7.0.1) and also, you have updated the Visual Composer to 4.11.2 and the Social Counter to 4.0 in order to achieve best results. Clear all your caches and test it again.

As you can see, this is a Visual Composer element and through it, you can display your ads where you want on your website. First: The settings are saved when you make other modifications in theme panel? For example if you change a color or a font those settings are saved? You don’t have to make any changes in ad’s code as the theme will save it in its original form.
Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn file if your using then test the site again. Also check if in browser’s console appear some errors related whit the theme while you’re saving the settings. Usually there should be a 403 or 404 error.
Second: Because you removed the first line from the ad-code the theme does not recognize it as ad-sense code and that’s why those options are not applied. Ad size can be changed only for ad-sense ads and because the theme render your code as a different ad the options are not applied.

The default template display page’s title when you’re not using Visual Composer on the page. When you’re using VC’s page-builder to ad block on the page the title is not displayed. For pages where you want the title to be displayed you can use page builder+title as that page template always display page’s title.
Also the above css hide page’s title for each page which uses page template + title. If you want to hide it only for a specific page replace .page-template-page-pagebuilder-title-php with .page-id-abc where abc it’s the numerical id of the page. Please notice that the theme still uses the Visual Composer-style for the mobile theme because this is required. Even though the mobile theme cannot be customized using the Visual Composer, it uses the elements from this when displaying the Big Grid from the top of the page and the Latest Articles module from the bottom of the page and these cannot be got rid.
