At the time we created our theme and used version 4.6.2 of visual composer, nobody knew the security issues with that version. Unfortunately the new version of visual composer creates problems with version 4 of our theme. We will try to implement an option for it in the near future but we cannot promise anything. In these cases we usually recommend a theme update. Unfortunately as newspaper 6 is a whole different theme it will create a few problems along the way, but we tried to maintain compatibility as much as we could. You can also try it without any plugins and clear cache. Disable all of them except visual composer and check your image again. Maybe it is a plugin you installed since the last use.

Also please note that the old customization for version 4 of the theme will have to be adjusted or they will not work anymore in Newspaper 6. Please update also the child theme as we have changed the system, please check documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
So my suggestion is to update your theme to the latest version 6.5.1, update the plugins provided with the theme(especially Visual Composer) and update your child theme to the version provided with the theme, you can find it in the /code folder from files that you download from themeforest – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

You can activate the Visual Composer also for posts from Visual Composer settings – http://screencast.com/t/1DL09Fk0 But don’t forget that the theme was designed to create pages using VC pagebuilder and the posts are designed to have default text content. However you can use Visual Composer on posts.
The categories templates cannot be edited using Visual Composer pagebuilder, you can change the module to display articles and more options in Theme Panel > Categories section – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/

In order to use the theme api, you will need substantial coding knowledge in html/css/php to pull it off. Please understand that these customizations will impact other elements in the theme and have to be adjusted to fit the grid layout and fit the rest of the content. In these cases we recommend hiring a freelancer to do it because we cannot provide any custom work. We try to help out where we can, but this is a major customization and requires much work and time to it. There are no specific guide lines to follow, just hard-coding.
As an alternative (if you do not want to hire a freelancer), you can use the masonry grid from visual composer as it has a number of settings available for grids: http://vc.wpbakery.com/features/grid-builder/

They will recommend you use the updated version they offer with theme update but if you want to take a chance and get the free update that they are offering on the Visual Composer page here:

It is a free security update they are offering to everyone even for those themes including it.
Tagdiv will tell you its not tested yet before they release it with theme but I am currently using with no issues and for the missing design options.
You need to go into maintenance mode and deactivate theme and use default theme like Twenty Fifteen or similar theme and then go to Visual Composer dashboard menu and it should show the design options and just resave the options without changing anything and reactivate Newsmag and that nag will be gone.
As for tabs on the new v4.8.0.1 on the Visual Composer link above. That element loads up just fine for me and lets me set options for it. It also looks like the same tabs element for the older versions too.
Can’t answer for the design options in the tabs element since I never done that before.
I hope I covered what you were asking otherwise I am not sure what you meant and I am sorry if I got that wrong.
I don’t see anything for bold on title in tabs element either.

Our blocks were created to work only on the specific 3 rows. Using other ones might create problems.
You can also check your custom css classes applied to your rows and see if a parameter given there modifies responsiveness.

Unfortunately the newest version of visual composer is not tested with the old version of our theme. You will have to update the theme as well as visual composer. Make sure to always use the version of the plugin that comes with the theme. Any other version will not work properly.

Sorry for the delay,
Unfortunately we cannot assure it’s functionality with our theme as we have not tested the plugin. You can use a bit of trial and error and check different options to get it working. You can try shortcodes in a textbox (in widgets area) or raw html/JS element (on pages) to see if it will show up. Another thing you can try is to see if it does not create a conflict with other plugins. Try it with just visual composer active and disable the rest of the plugins.

Please try it without any plugins. I see you use rocketloader, which is known to cause problems with our theme. Please disable all javascript, css and html minification options. Then disable all your plugins except visual composer and check your link again.
