Hello,
Please use this guide to properly use visual composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Do not use more than 3 columns,
You add a new row by pressing the add new button and selecting a row.
Thank you!
Hi,
There is no setting for this. Sidebars will be displayed on mobile as well. Only the mobile theme will not display the sidebars, when it is active.
If you use Visual composer there is an option in the columns settings on pages, that allows to hide it on devices
– https://www.screencast.com/t/BvWPdfW9SS9v
But I can’t think of any other setting for this.
Thanks
Hi,
Please do not edit pages created with Visual composer, in the tagDiv composer. This will not work properly and cause problems
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
If you would like to use the tagDiv composer you will have to create new pages and edit them with the new composer. Try creating a new page and check if everything works properly.
Also check the theme system status and make modifications to the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
This will ensure the proper functionality of the theme and plugins.
Thanks

How can I go about fixing these queries. I have used WP-Optimize plugin to optimize the database of the site but I guess I need to do this manually?
I’m using Newspaper theme 8.1 with their your new composer plugin instead of the previous composer visual composer.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,

Hi Bogdan, I’ve tried various things but it definitely seems like once the module is registered as a block in td_config.php and used on a page inside visual composer it loses the ability to properly select the post meta ACF field values.
I use ACF inside single post templates and all works fine, I used ACF in category view with a custom registered module and all works fine, it’s just when the same module is registered as a VC Block, all ACF values are lost.
Any ideas?
Matt
Hi Rhonda,
Do you are using the TD Composer on a page which was made with Visual Composer in the past or vice versa? Notice that thing is not recommended to do because you can encounter such a problem. For more information about this regard, please check the following guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
If is not what you mean, please provide more details, your website and if the problem persists, you should send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information so we can further inspect your setup page. First of all, before sending us this email, you should disable all of the untested plugins because these could be the major cause of your issue, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The latest theme version is tested and it should work properly. Most probably a plugin that conflicts with the theme and you have this issue. Do you have an error in browser console?
Please deactivate all your plugins except tagdiv composer(or Visual Composer if you use it), disable any css/js minification, clear all the caches and see how it goes.
If the issue persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can take a closer look. Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks!
Good afternoon,
I need your help. I have a website “correiodoporto.com” in which I use your Newspaper 6 theme with the visual composer plugin.
It was working fine and I was very pleased but now when I enter the session “Paginas” -> HomePage -> the visual composer does not open the layout of the site where you can enter blocks.
Always loading loading.
I urgently need to insert a new block and I can not.

Thank you for the reply Catalin.
I checked our plugins and I did have to delete two that were no longer supported in our current WordPress version. All of our other plugins were in use with Newspaper 6, but just to be sure I turned off all plugins except for tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Social Counter, tagDiv Speed Booster, and WPBakery Visual Composer. When I tried to Edit a page after turning off plugins we still have no button for Visual Composer.
After I read your reply above I also deactivated, deleted and uploaded and activated these plugins, td-speed-booster.zip, td-social-counter.zip, js_composer.zip and td-composer.zip and then activated them. Then, with the plugins still off (except tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Social Counter, tagDiv Speed Booster, and WPBakery Visual Composer) I checked again and still do not have a Visual Composer button.
Here’s our Edit screen with no VC button: https://ibb.co/ecYcKv
Here are the plugins activated and deactivated while testing: https://ibb.co/bFpnma
Here’s our System Status: https://ibb.co/bG04XF
I updated http://sullivansislandmagazine.com/s/ and http://isleofpalmsmagazine.com/ from Newspaper 6 to Newspaper 8 usng these steps:
- LIVE SITE: Use WP All in One Migration plugin Export the site
- TEST SITE: On an empty domain I installed WordPress 4.8.1
- TEST SITE: All plugins were deleted and I installed WP All in One Migration
- TEST SITE: WP All in One Migration was used to Import the website to be updated
- I downloaded the Newspaper 8 update from ThemeForest
- TEST SITE: Newspaper 8 was uploaded via FTP, plugins were installed and activated
- TEST SITE: All desired updates were made (new home page build, sidebar recreated, if necessary etc)
- TEST SITE: site was checked to make sure it looked good
- TEST SITE: Used WP All in One Migration plugin Export the site
- LIVE SITE: Used WP All in One Migration plugin Import the site
- LIVE SITE: WordPress was updated to 4.8.1
- LIVE SITE: site was checked to make sure it looked good, this was when I noticed Visual Composer was not working.
I can work without Visual Composer and use TD Composer but I’d prefer to be able to use Visual Composer, especially if its supported by the theme. Any ideas?

Hello,
Please use this guide to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
And please use this method fr the plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Hi,
The tagDiv composer will work and should be used only for pages built with it, not with the Visual composer editor. If you try to edit a page created with Visual composer, using the tagDiv composer it will probably result in problems or broken elements. If you want to use the new composer, you will have to recreate all Visual composer pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
Hello MediaServicesTagDiv,
Of course, the Visual Composer is fully tested with our latest theme version and seems to work as expected. To achieve best theme results, you should only use the plugins which come bundled with the theme core files. Also, make sure that your VC version is the right one which comes bundled with the theme packet and not any other paid license. Check your system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please disable all other plugins beside bbpress and visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again to see if the issue is still there.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please go to your plugins section and deactivate the tagDiv composer. Then check if the single images are displayed like before. In some cases having both Visual composer and tagDiv composer active can cause some issues. The tagDiv composer has a different functionality for the single image elements.
Thanks
Hi, Andrea. Do you have the Tagdiv Composer plugin AND Visual Composer turned on? When you do, it’s going to make any VC pages you build look strange like that. Basically you need to choose if you’re going to use one OR the other when you build your site. Since you’re starting off, Tagdiv would recommend you use their new plugin, since they’re not really going to support VC anymore. In my case, I already built tons of posts and pages using VC, so I’m sticking with it for now since I don’t have time to rebuild all of them with Tagdiv Composer. So in other words, I have the Tagdiv Composer turned off and the VC plugin turned on. That instantly corrected my problems. Hope that helps.
Hi, Gen. When you updated, did you keep the Tagdiv Composer activated?
I found in the past that when I updated the theme, it automatically activated the new Tagdiv Composer plugin, and that caused my posts and pages to do things like that. If you use Visual Composer to create posts (as I do) and want to use the Tagdiv Composer, I was told I would need to rebuild all of them using the Tagdiv Composer (and turn off VC). Or, I could go on using VC and turn off the Tagdiv Composer.
Hello,
I updated today from Newspaper 7 to 8 today.
I have big problem.
But, past articles. That all content (including letters and images) protrudes to the right.
The same is true when writing new articles (I use Visual Composer in the same way as before)
For some reason, the article contents protrudes to the right.
Past articles. It is over 100 pages. It is difficult to edit.
What should I do?
Gen
Hi,
I’ve just bought your awesome theme and I’ve got a question: I’m used to edit my posts through Visual Composer but it seems that the rows span behind the right sidebar of the template.
For the time being, as a quick & dirty workaround, I’ve just put in the post a row and using simply a 2/3 column where I’m putting my text. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m doing wrong and if there’s a cleaner way.
Thank you for the support
Andrea
Hi Guys, are there any known reasons why ACF values would not render within pages created using VC, I have registered a custom module that has two buttons, these two buttons only show if a value is set in ACF additional field, they work fine in category view but not within a page generated with VC. A custom block has also been registered which uses the same module, it renders fine except the two buttons which should be visible, are not.
Image outlining issue;

Thanks
Matt
Hi, I tried disable all untested plugins and only Tested Plugins Contact form 7, Font Awesome 4 Menus, WordPress (Yoast) SEO, Visual Composer, tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Social Counter, tagDiv Speed Booster it running stop loading page and jam or only used Visual Composer it still same every I tried disable all plugins it running stop loading page and website jam. Just add element “slide” on page. I will leave it foe you can inspect website agin. http://www.knockfoto.com
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello daviannguyen,
It seems your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please update the Visual composer plugin as well, from the theme package
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Then check if it works properly in the back-end. If the problem is still present, it would be helpful if you could provide some useful screenshots of the problem, so we can understand better.
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a side effect of using both page builders. Please do not use both the visual composer and the tagdiv composer plugin.
If this is not the case, please also try to
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello devenkh2,
1)Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Please do not use this setting in Seo by Yoast:
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh Also, if you are using the WP Super Cache plugin, please ensure that has been right setup according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
2)Also, the third important rule is to do not edit a page which was created with Visual Composer with TD Composer.
Also, I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues like this.
For more information about how you should use our page builder in correct way on our theme, please check the following useful tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/
Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
From your screenshot I see that the text editor has the options you mention, but maybe the problem is that you cannot use them. If you reverted to a previous version of the theme, use the Visual composer version that is provided with that theme version.
Try deactivating and deleting the current version, and install that one. It should work properly. Please let us know if there is still a problem.
Thanks
