Hello vinayakganiger,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Basically, these are the theme requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Another useful guide for increasing the page speed can be found here -> https://kinsta.com/blog/google-pagespeed-insights/

Hi,
We have been early adopters of the theme and have been using some of the earlier and new recommended plugins, but those make the site heavy too.
1)Can we deactivate Jetpack and Tag Div cloud library plugins. Would that effect our website in any manner? http://www.gadgetbridge.com.

2) Also the tagdiv speed booster is always in yellow, in the system status panel, we keep deactivating the plugins it suggests, but it still stays in yellow, telling us to deactivate more plugins.

Thanks

Glad you fixed it. I have inspected your website, from what I can see there are many images which do not load, they have a status of 400
https://www.screencast.com/t/9MgimjUoWg
If you use an image delivery system you could check why this is happening.

Also be sure to check the theme requirements guide and increase the allocated resources if needed

Hi,

Can’t say what would be better here, with a multisite environment we have not made any testing unfortunately. Basically the theme requirements for most users would be these
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Make more tests to see what the issues are and focus on them. Check some online tips
https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/speed-up-my-slow-multisite-network
https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2017/06/better-faster-optimized-wordpress-websites/

Maybe some users which have multisites can share their experiences in the matter.

Thanks

Hi,

From what I can see AMP is not activated for your posts. You simply have to install the plugin and activate it, to test add /amp at the end of the URL of a post page. The posts should look like this
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/td-post-ripple-ceo-and-ethereum-co-founder-bash-ico-industry/amp/

There is no menu currently for the AMP version, this and the design is inspired by the Yoast SEO website
https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-yoast-seo/amp/
The header logo will be the one you set for mobile in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/sk3sDiyVW
If the logo is blurry test with a different image format and sizes, until a good result is found.

Ad codes for AMP will have to be entered in the dedicated AMP section, be sure to use the proper codes, for example for Adsense
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en
https://www.screencast.com/t/vc3VzKSIEHTi

AMP will work properly for pages created with the default WordPress editor if you want to use it for pages, not with page builder content. The main purpose of AMP is speed, not loading heavy pages with blocks and grids.

Of course our plugin is optional, you can use other AMP plugins if needed. We will try however to improve it and add more options for it in future updates. Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

So the speed booster plugin finally activated. This should not be so difficult, all it requires is that the plugin be installed and activated.
If the booster detects plugins that are not part of the list mentioned above, it will have an inactive status.
If there are no such plugins it will have an active status.

If you remove the code as shown it will be active at all times, but note that it can create problems with your plugins. They might stop working or not function correctly if their resources are moved.

1. Maybe the hosting provides a cache system, you could contact them and ask about it. The theme has no caching by itself.

2. So there is a difference regarding how the flex block modules display with and without the speedbooster? We could take a look at that.
We will require admin access to your website, send the details by email at contact@tagdiv.com and also include a link to this topic in the email.

3. The loading of the theme CSS and also the child theme CSS should be moved. I also tested this and it works
https://www.screencast.com/t/3sjfUzec
I checked this using only the allowed plugins and also with the code removed from the plugin, both the CSS are moved.

Thanks

Hi Jean-Paul,

For tagDiv Composer:
Please read the Requirements for Newspaper from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and make sure that all Requirements you have set are not lower.

Please try this ( https://www.screencast.com/t/pFoqAA4oa6 ):
In order to fix this you have to add the following lines in the .htaccess file located in your website main folder: .htaccess

<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

Sonria Dental look so because you are using a very large image, and in order to bee full display you set on general Image size on full width ( https://www.screencast.com/t/g5aRkaUe ) this is the default look ( https://www.screencast.com/t/g5aRkaUe ), please take in consideration to use proper size image, and then your website will look better an will have a better speed optimization.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi

You can get more information in this documentation of thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/

Please active only thumbs you need to use in Newspaper > Theme panel > Block Settings section Thumbs on Modules/Blocks ( https://www.screencast.com/t/JHQNe5ZSCy ), this will increase your website speed .

Thank you for your understanding.

It will not be active permanently, on the whole website. So when plugins outside of that list are detected the speed booster will not activate. That would be like a safety measure.

Hi,

I believe by default that menu setting is set to no preloading. Indeed disabling it will improve performance.
You can test your website with online tools, try gtmetrix for example or Google insights and check the results and suggestions provided there. Optimize as many as possible, results should follow.

There are many topics here on the forum in terms of speed improvements and optimization. Some of them here for example
https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Hello,

Indeed adding more features will result in a few extra queries. There were lots of features added since version 7. There were 2 major updates with lots of new features in between newspaper 7 and newspaper 9
Performance is still a concern to us ad we will not sacrifice the theme performance for adding new features but we do have to improve the theme functionality also. You cannot ad new features without some performance loss. We are working on optimization though so performance will see an increase in future releases. We are constantly working on new features but on performance optimization as well.

Until then, you can try to improve your page loading speed by optimizing your install. Try these few guides that will improve your loading speed:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-speedify-your-website/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
We also recommend this Cloudflare configuration
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

For speedbooster you can disable the compatibility check like so:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/

Thank you for understanding.
