2)Please keep in mind that if you want to translate your description from About US section from Footer, notice that you can do it from WPML Plugin, but it’s needed to make some adjustments through it in order to achieve as you wish.
First of all, you should install the WMPL and then go to it in String Translation section and then, press the Translate texts in admin screens, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/DvZ8tStcO7A Please notice that all of the theme’s setting is loaded in the td_011 field and the footer text which you want to translate it is saved in the tds_footer_text meta key, which should have to be checked from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/YXh36jIo. Honestly when you say “thank you for your understanding” I dont quite understand given that I payed for the product and you recommended me WPML ( which I payed for it too ).
So when you tell me that “we cannot say for sure if this will be or not solved” I’m not so happy to hear that. Widgets are base components and should work as well as the base widgets included in WordPress.Given that I paid for a product I dont want to spend my own time fixing it.
Look, News mag is good and love it, only I want to know how make it work with different translations. I almost have it all done, only the parts that involve the theme panel settings I don’t know how to make it work (If I had found a way to share the full media library between wordpress sites without too much tweaking I would not bothered using the WPML plugin. )
I didn’t understand the TD composer part you said ( point 2). I already created a SideBar for every main page for every language. That worked because there is a page for every language.
** But for example, for the general post settings or the general category, those that are in the theme panel, I only can assign one sidebar for all, and it didn’t take in consideration the language. That means that there isn’t one config per language
( theme panel > template settings > blog and posts templates > custom sidebar + position )
Also, there are another settings I can’t find how to translate, those are the same no matter which language is selected: (footer > footer info content > )
– Footer text
– Footer copyright text

I made quite a few tests in then meantime, for me there is no problem in editing all the versions of the page by language, with the tagDiv composer. For example I set a page as homepage, then added a translation to it

Also I had no other plugins active except theme plugins. You could double check all the requirements, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and WPML plugins.
If there is no positive result we could take a look at the problem. Send us admin login by email at contact@tagdiv.com also include a link to this topic in the email.
The other issue, with the cloud library, this is investigated by us and it will be fixed. Seems to happen for some users, the plugin will be updated along with the theme as soon as possible.
When going to edit a page with tagdiv composer on my default language i have no issues. http://ucym.in/gb
however when I try and edit it in a secondary language the td composer hangs and page never shows up OR if DO get on to TD composer and I try to add an element, I get the continuous circle and nothing saves.
Similarly when I try to add a template form the cloud library, I get a “bindViewsModelsWrappers()!” error.

The next prev links in the theme are not working with WPML.
We have set up English as our default language and French is our other language.
If you go here (http://104.130.176.183/the-renaissance-of-childrens-live-action-programming/) and scroll down to the next prev link area you can see the following issues.
1) The next/prev titles are showing in French when in English. If you toggle the language to French in the top left they are reversed the other way.
2) The next link always wants to just link me to the post I am already on rather than taking me to the actual next post.
3) Even though the titles are showing in the wrong language the URLs are actually to the correct language.
On the WPML forms I found this link (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/get_next_post-get_previous_post-returns-posts-not-from-current-language/#post-472084) that says “we are filtering the previous_post_link() and the next_post_link() functions only, for now.” When I took a look at your code in “td_module_single_base.php” I saw that you are not using previous_post_link() and the next_post_link(), but instead get_next_post() and get_previous_post().
Can you please tell me why this is happening and how to solve it, as this theme says it is compatible with WPML.

1)Unfortunately, it seems that the Widgets are not working to be translated with WPML. This thing has been added to our list of improvements for fixing but we cannot say for sure if this will be or not solved.
2)If you want to have more sidebars to your pages you should make some pages with TD Composer and add with this page builder the sidebars and from there you can choose more than options that Theme Panel.

I’m having a hard time working with translations. I bought WPML by recommendation of yours. It is a great pluging thou.
But I’m having trouble with some parts of newsmag.
1) First of all, the default widgets in the sidebar. I wanted to translate the default widgets per language. Down below in each widget I see a combo that let me to select the language I want the widget appear in. I click “save” and the value always return and stays in “All languages”.
The problem is in deed the widgets ( [tagdiv block 9] & [tagdiv] popular category ). For example, the RSS Widget works just fine.
2) I got the idea of making one sidebar per language and assign it to each translation of the main page (SiderBar English, SidebarFrancais, SidebarEspanol) . So I did that and that worked *** only for the main page***. I realized that I had to assign a sidebar to the blog and post template and for other sections too in the “theme panel” config section.
But the problem is that the settings in Newsmag Theme Panel aren’t localized per language, so, if I select the “SideBarEnglish”, it will appear for the other languages too.

That should work properly. Simply create a page with the same widgets you are using now, recent comments and menus

Then using WPML set a new page ID (a page that contains what you want to display in that language)

The page will then be switched. This should work for you as well, and be a solution to display different footer content by language.
It is the same for me, the recent comments widget is still shown but it is translated, also the content changes by language selected.
I will add this on our list and our developer team will take a look as soon as possible and see what could be done. Seems some widgets will still be displayed despite the language chosen.
You could try as mentioned and set a footer page in the theme panel. Then with WPML change the page ID. So on a language it will use one page, and on other languages different pages. That would work.

I will make some tests with the widgets and see if everything works as intended. The language selection in the widgets should make them appear only on the language you select.
You could maybe use a footer page and chnage that as the language is changed. The string translation module of WPML is needed for this

@iamkingsleyf Yes, with WPML you can create different pages for each language. You could also try other plugins. Not being tested by us does not mean they will not work. Make tests with free plugins first.

I created a page for my french homepage and am to use the page builder + latest post template but it won’t save. i bought WPML so that is what i am using
once i click save it goes back to page builder. am using the latest version

I wouldn’t say fully tested by us, but there are users that implemented Polylang successfully. You could also check qTranslate. With WPML this is tested and works properly.
