thanks for the detailed bug report. I will have a look and see what we can do to fix the field incompatibility. More likely we will either use yoasts format or we will make a separate field.

Yes manually installing the plugins from Newspaper/includes/plugins will solve most issues with the auto installer.

I do not exactly know. Most sites have a “Home” labeled link. So I don’t think that the content of the link matters for seo.
