Please make sure that you properly generated the sql file, please check this link for more details in this regard: https://wpengine.com/support/exporting-database/
This is not a theme related error and unfortunately I can’t point exactly to the problem. You can try to make some tests on another local install on your computer. Try to setup a new wp-install and import the sql there. If the process fails again then your sql is not properly generated.

I’ve checked your site and there is no issue with category pages. Category page will display posts from that category but also from all its subcategories. For example Sport Updates category will display post from all subcategories, Podcasts, Red and Blue. This is a default functionality from wp and can’t be changed easily. If you really need this and you’re not aware of the steps that must be taken in this regard my advice is to look for someone who can help you with implementation or hire a freelancer to do it for you.

Mobile theme plugin does not support shortcodes and unfortunately there is no easy way to accomplish the desired result. You can use Social Counter on mobiles only if Mobile theme plugin is disabled.

Note that the Speed Booster plugin disable itself when an incompatible plugin it’s installed. We added this measure to avoid conflicts with the plugins that won’t allow to move their CSS/js resources at page bottom. That is an attachment page which is a default feature of wordpress, you can read more about this here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Image_and_File_Attachments You can link only single images to attachment page: http://screencast.com/t/anrGTdMqlsFA , the images from galleries will be opened automatically in modal window.

We removed the install buttons because many people used to believe that it’s a required plugin and without it the the site won’t be responsive. This plugin is an optional plugin mean to sped up the site on mobile devices. The mobile theme plugin is included in Newspaper-tf/plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/jrlkLPSuK2p and can be installed like any other plugin from wordpress dashboard. If you’re using Seo By Yoast plugin install this version of mobile theme plugin: http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/td-mobile-plugin.zip as the one included in theme’s path create a conflict with Yoast.
