Please keep in mind that we cannot provide support for older theme version and also, we cannot say for sure if any older version of the theme will work as properly because the WordPress has been updated and we do not make any tests with our older version, sorry! If you want to bring best results with our products you should keep up with our updates and you should not make any downgrade. This is just my advice and recommendation.

Please notice that our demo uses the Big Grid Slide VC element to the homepage at the top of the page while you are using the Big Grid 2 which cannot allow you to slide your posts. Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you a way to have the footer menu of the home page different from other pages, sorry! Please keep in mind that the footer menu is unique for the entire website and if you want to have this option you should implement it your\self because we cannot provide additional customizations. Also, the wp-menu plugin is not tested with the theme and we cannot say for sure if it will work or not with our theme, sorry!

So, if you want to add some buttons to your header menu, please notice that our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add some buttons there but the only way to do this would be to use the do_shortcode of Visual Composer and then, add the code in the specific core file, according to your header style used by you.
