Also, please make sure that this problem is not influenced by interference between some untested plugins used by you and our theme. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please notice that this kind of feature is too sensible and might be broken by these kinds of plugins.

This kind of problem should come from your settings upload permissions from your server. Then, if the demo still won’t load, you need to check if you have the correct permissions on your upload folder. If not, you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the Cpanel, please contact your hosting provider. Another thing you can check with your host is to unlock the demo if there is some setting which blocks access to it. 2) Having the latest version of the theme is not enough if you do not update the social counter as well. You need to remove the current version you use: http://screencast.com/t/4jvRwNzK and then install the version of the plugin that comes with the 6.6.5 theme: http://screencast.com/t/9AKKURjTjX
You can recognize if you have the correct version of the plugin when you see the new app key settings: http://screencast.com/t/CIXxklBanNl If you do not have these settings in your social counter it means you do not have the correct version.

3)You need to follow this guide to get the requirements from facebook:

Please keep in mind that the social counter is not a live count. It will update once every few hours.

You are talking about 2 different styles of the smart list. From what I understood, you are using now the smart list style 1 and what you are described as you wish is for smart list style 3.
