This is because you are using cloud template that allow you to do almost everything you want, change layout, functionality ….
My recommendation is to check each category cloud template with tagDiv Composer, make sure that you have the blocks filtered after the current category, also elements as sibling will display multiple categories…

Unfortunately there is no option in theme or wordpress to allow the contributors to access the Post Settings, I think it can be done custom, or better you can change the users from contributor to a proper role. If this is not possible then the only solution will be custom work.

I also just realized the “Featured Video” and “Featured Audio” options are not available to contributor-level users. – those are restricted by wordpress and can be used by admin, editor and author.

Now the most common way to reduce the DOM size is to reduce the number of elements from your page (less blocks).

For the elements that do not have enough size or space, those should have at lest 10px around the element and a proper font size to can be read.

What I can recommend to try is to disable and delete the tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Social counter and after that reinstall the plugins from Newsmag > plugins.
In case that the problem still persist after the above method what you can do is to use the fixed count field from social count widget.

Yes intradevam we were connected to the site and we solved the problem related to the installation of the demos, but there was still a problem related to the amp plugin which is forced somehow. I also mentioned in the email that a large part of the site is custom/harcoded, using a lot of CPTs, taxonomy and many other options that were nowhere to be found on that installation and were most likely injected from the outside.
According to the email I sent you, the theme can be used, but without the tagDiv mobile theme plugin (and the amp plugin is active but does not exist, so it cannot be deactivated).
