Please make sure that you are using the last version of WordPres v5.5 with last version of Newspaper theme v10.3.6.1 also make sure that all theme requirements are set as in our guide from here and you do not have a plugin or code conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins (theme plugins), also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Indeed if you are using PRO demos, the settings from theme panel will no affect website, because PRO Demos are build suing cloud template from tagDiv Cloud Library and are build/edit with tagDiv Composer.
