Hi,

Seems that was overlooked, I will add it on the list. The fix is to edit the speed booster plugin and add this line of code in the allowed plugins list
http://prntscr.com/niox86

'amp/amp.php'

Sorry for the inconvenience. Let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

Pages will not be affected by updating the theme. Pages, posts, theme panel settings, code entered in the theme panel, they are saved in the database. However it is always recommended to make a backup before doing it, just to be safe.

Here is a guide you can follow – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

Thanks

Hi,

Please be sure to install the actual theme, not the whole package. The full theme package zip contains multiple files – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

Here is a guide with steps for installing either by WordPress or by FTP
https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-newspaper-theme/

Also try and increase the “upload max filesize” size as mentioned in the requirements guide, as well as the other parameters
https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/

If the problem remains let us know.
Thanks

Hi,

You are using an older theme version, with the old AMP plugin, since theme update 9.6 this plugin is not provided anymore – http://prntscr.com/niojkx
The header when using the old AMP plugin will display the logo set in the theme panel
http://prntscr.com/niokz7
There will be no menu displayed in this case.

Now the official AMP plugin can be used, together with the mobile theme plugin
https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

That would depend on the filtering and sorting the blocks use. Content will be displayed according to these factors. Each block can be configured to show the posts you want
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

If it is necessary to use the same filtering and sorting, you can use the offset option
https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
So the second block can pick up where the first ends. In case I misunderstand let me know.

Hi,

1. We are aware of this issue, it will be fixed. If the setting is made in a page built with WPBakery it will not work, it will work if the page is built with the tagDiv composer. This also has options to hide specific rows/columns/elements per device.

There are some other issues which may happen when both composers are active, they will all be fixed as soon as possible. This will happen by theme updates.

2. This is most unusual, the homepage uses the mobile theme while the rest of the website appears to not use it. If the mobile theme is active the whole website should use it, depends on this setting however – http://prntscr.com/nio8v8 (first two will present the mobile theme at all times, while the last only for AMP).

Such issues could happen due to caching plugins or maybe minification/compression or optimization plugins. Try if possible and if you use such plugins, to deactivate them temporarily and check if this solves it.

3. The AMP URL will be with /?amp, this should be valid when testing. Seems to be valid when I test a post – http://prntscr.com/nioalr

Thanks

@sathana So you want the ad to not be displayed in the homepage, while in the rest of the website it should appear. One solution is to use a cloud header template in the homepage. Edit the homepage and load or create a cloud header template – http://prntscr.com/ninsf7
http://prntscr.com/ninskg
So you can create or load a cloud header template just in the homepage, what it contains is up to you. It will be displayed just in the homepage. With this functionality each page or template can use a different header, the possibilities are many.

@lpa_admin
I can’t say for sure if that will work for sure, if those files will change or not. It is true that the child theme has lost most of it’s usefulness, as it is currently limited to just a few files after the 9.7 update.
We will try to find a way of allowing files from the composer to be modified without doing it directly. If such a way is found we will create documentation for it.

Hi,

They appear to be empty indeed, while that is surely not the case. What if you change the post template to a different one? If you made any changes to the post templates, try to temporarily remove them.

Ultimately try to reinstall the theme, by FTP would be better in this case, after the 9.7 update. Delete the old theme and upload the new one. Then update the theme plugins as well.

In case you already tried this, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and allow us admin access so we can take a closer look. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Hi,

I tried setting a video from YouTube as featured, seems to work same as before
http://prntscr.com/ninjachttp://prntscr.com/ninjg0http://prntscr.com/ninjod
The video should appear in the post page, and thumbnails should be displayed in the modules.

There may be cases when the videos don’t have thumbnails, but they should still appear as featured in the post page. If possible please post a link to a post where this happens, so I can take a look at it. Let me know.

Hi,

There were some problems like the one you mention, we fixed them in update 9.7.2. So you could try and update again, to the latest version. Download the theme again from themeforest and install it, there should be no problem anymore.

Due to the changes made to the theme in 9.7 the best method to update in this case, is by FTP. Delete the old theme and upload the new one – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

Here is an article about the changes made in 9.7 – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/

Hi,

Quite unusual, the arrows seem to appear in the composer and also when the header is in sticky mode, but not in the default state.

Does it happen if you use a different header style? I could take a look at it, please post a link to the website if possible. Or send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for a closer look.
If you send us an email, include a link to this topic in it. Let us know.

Hi,

There could be issues like the ones you mention with the single image elements, they may happen when both our composer and Visual composer are active. These will be fixed in the next update.

In the mean time the fix is to download this file – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/tdc_map.zip and replace it in the tagDiv composer
http://prntscr.com/nikwre
The single images will look and function correctly after doing this.
Sorry for this inconvenience, the fix will be included in the next theme update.

Hi,

Maybe the theme did not install properly. Please try and install it again, either by WordPress or by FTP, here are some guides – https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-newspaper-theme/

Be sure to install the actual theme, not the whole package downloaded from themeforest (if you download the full package) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

Also check out the theme requirements guide carefully – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/

If you have more questions let us know.

Hi,

I don’t quite understand what CSS you are referring to, in relation to the footer. Some more details about what exactly you are looking for, or what you are trying to do, would be most helpful. Please let me know.

Hi,

The first thing to check is the theme requirements guide – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/
If the theme panel works but works slowly could be caused by insufficient resources, like wp-memory.
If the theme panel doesn’t work at all and keeps hanging, you could try the other suggestions from this topic as well – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-with-newspaper-theme/

If you already checked these and the problem remains, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Also mention how we can see the problem or any relevant details about it. Let us know.

Hi,

Please download the theme again from themeforest and install it, by FTP if possible. There have been some fixes and the problem you mention should be fixed now.

Here is a guide if needed – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

Seems not to work indeed, a stronger code is needed

.td-big-grid-slide.td_block_wrap {
perspective:unset!important;
}

I have tested it on my end, seems to work now. You could give it a try and then check the grid again.

I believe that the “/9” is meant for older versions of IE
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8004765/css-9-in-width-property

At the moment I can’t say exactly what and how will change in future theme updates, regarding the legacy functionality. We will improve on the current state or make further modifications. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

There is indeed a gradient there, it’s purpose is to make the post meta more visible over the featured image. For example
With gradient – http://prntscr.com/nimb5m
Without gradient – http://prntscr.com/nimbae the text is harder to read in this case.

However if you want to remove it, this code will do that, enter it in the custom CSS section of the theme panel

.td-image-gradient-style7:after {
display: none;
}

The full image won’t be displayed, the container has a predefined height, one of the reasons would be to achieve the same results regardless of image
http://prntscr.com/nimd4x
You could try something like this to make he image bigger if the images are actually bigger and allow it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/changing-featured-image-size/

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Maybe try with a plugin that extends the widget capabilities
https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-options/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/
I haven’t tested these myself, maybe one of them can do this.

Thanks

Hi,

Depends, if you use a default predefined post template style and wish to insert that shortcode, you would have to edit the post template files. After update 9.7 the post template files have been moved in the tagDiv composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/nilv4m Some similar topics to use do_shortcode here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/ads-below-pagination/
For older theme versions a child theme could be used to copy and modify/add code in the single template files – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

Or you could use a cloud post template – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
In this case you can add a column text element in the template with the composer, in the location you want, and add the shortcode in it – http://prntscr.com/nilxwn

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

There is an issue currently with the ad box as an widget, it is known and already on our list and will be fixed. Sorry for the in convenience.

Maybe there is different way of displaying the ads, now the composer can be used to edit templates not just pages. So you could add the ad boxes with it. Please let me know if you need help doing it or if you have more questions.

Hi,

Most widgets have a setting to color the title – http://prntscr.com/nili7r depends on the widgets you used in the sidebar. Try the general color settings for the titles, should work for widget titles as well – http://prntscr.com/nilj21

Ultimately it could be done with some CSS if needed. Post a link to where I can see the elements you are referring to and mention how you want them to be. I will take a look.

Thanks

Simion C.

I checked the homepage, looks alright now – http://prntscr.com/nilccj
http://prntscr.com/nilcfdhttp://prntscr.com/nilclb
Or maybe I don’t see the problems.

The only problem I see is with these elements – http://prntscr.com/nilcrf that view count and share options that are displayed on the left edge of the page for some reason. If they are coming from plugins, maybe check the plugin settings and position them differently, or remove them from pages.

So the issue with the featured videos happens regardless of video used. Quite unusual, I made some more tests even with videos you used, seems to work same as before
http://prntscr.com/nilg0i
Maybe it is a plugin that is interfering with this process, if you checked the PHP version and that is not the cause. You could try as a quick test to deactivate all non-theme plugins, then make a test and set a featured video to see if the thumbnail is displayed. let me know what you find.

Hi,

Chances are the modifications you made to theme files in the child theme will not be valid anymore. Many theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer and will be served from there. Now the child theme is limited to a functions file, style, and a few theme files that can still be modified in it.

Please download the theme package again and update the theme, delete the old theme and upload the new one. Update the theme plugins as well. Don’t make any modifications to theme of plugin files after the update. Also what PHP version are you using? try using PHP 7, 7.1 or 7.2 if possible.

Thanks
