Hi,
That would depend on the number of posts set in the reading options here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FeqxOootn
Modify that value dependent on how many posts are now displayed (without a sidebar) on a row. If for example you have a value of 10 and 3 modules per row, the first three rows will contain 3 posts each, while the remaining one post will display on the last row
If that is the case, set a value that is a multiple of 3.
Thanks
Hi,
Images can be added with the Gutenberg image block, wherever you want in the post content
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tbWneXUqOkg
Choose the image size you want – http://prntscr.com/lutonj
Here is more information about it – https://gogutenberg.com/blocks/image/
Or you can add images with the classic element provided in Gutenberg
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ZWfxXiZMhxQg
More about using quotes here – https://gogutenberg.com/blocks/quote/
All these blocks and their settings should work properly. If you identified any issues created by the theme, please mention the steps to recreate them and we will check it out.
Thanks
Hi,
That would be possible with a plugin, such as the Adrotate plugin for example. This plugin is used by many theme users who want to have more or extended control over the ads, which the theme by default does not provide.
Here is more information about the plugin if you should consider using it
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-ads-in-wordpress-with-adrotate-plugin/
– https://ajdg.solutions/manuals/adrotate-manuals/
Thanks
I have tested the code on my end, with the mobile theme active
Default – https://www.screencast.com/t/nbzLm0AO
With code added – https://www.screencast.com/t/CVzh5Usexk
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Kv99rwxZ
If this is not working in your case, please provide a link to the website so I can take a look.
Hi,
We could take a look at it, the issue is happening only on specific pages or all the pages even new ones? If it happens only for some pages, then there might be a problem with the content inside them.
Send us an email with admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible at contact@tagdiv.com so we can check. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
You could enter the newsletter code in the header ad spot, in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Ndq01Yzz
It may require additional CSS, since that spot is not designed to display newsletters. Those would usually be in the content of pages/posts.
Other than that, it could be done only by entering the form code in the header template files directly according to template used
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SCFzqTEp
Thanks
Hi,
Updating the theme or WordPress may move widgets from the sidebars in the inactive widget area
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rIGYN2yk
They still retain their previous settings but are inactive. That would be normal to happen.
But if they disappear again after adding them, then there is a problem. Maybe the sidebars have unusual symbols or characters in their name
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
If they do this issue may happen, the sidebar widgets will be reset.
Thanks
Hi,
If you deactivate the composer and in the header settings there is a multi-purpose header style selected, then there will be an error like the one from the screenshot.
In most cases where 500 errors were displayed it was caused by low WP memory
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Most hosting providers by default set this to a value around 40M, which is depleted quickly and is not enough for the theme alone, not to mention other installed plugins.
We recommend a value of 256M, which is enough for most websites. Please check the theme requirements guide carefully, top to bottom. If needed increase the parameters mentioned in it, or ask the hosting provider to do it for you, they should be able to.
In case there is still a problem let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
Such an old theme version will probably not work correctly with WordPress 5. Keep the theme updates as well not just WordPress if possible.
A changelog for the theme updates can be found here (bottom of the page)
We continue to fix issues that are identified as quickly as possible .
Here is an update guide if necessary – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
After you update please clear all caches, CDN if used, also the browser cache.
Thanks
Hi,
We can take a look at the issue. Is this happening only on the homepage, or all pages even new ones? If it happens only on the homepage then there is something wrong with it’s content maybe.
Provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP if possible, by email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can check. We are from Romania.
Thanks
Hi,
I checked a few posts again, they are all valid from what I can see at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/9op9m0ahRa
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MlzxXesW
There are no more JavaScript errors, the posts pass AMP validation.
Please send us admin login and cPanel or FTP by email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can investigate, if you had not already. We will try to find out why this is happening in your case.
Hi,
@SerenityStore If it causes problems remove the code. Make tests to see if it works as you want. Modify the modules you want in a child theme, this way you will not loose the customization after a theme update.
By default the theme modules are created to display only the primary category of the post
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
Displaying more is not possible by a theme setting, it may also damage the design of the module. Each module will have to be modified in order to allow this.
Maybe in the future such an option will be available, can’t say for sure. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
So you want to remove the author names and dates from blocks and grids, these are the setting for that
– https://www.screencast.com/t/S4YX8XtLy63
For the single post pages the settings are here – https://www.screencast.com/t/9YmHGNUzP
Also consider to update the theme to 9.2.1, this update fixes some issues with the theme lazyload causing images and thumbnails to not be displayed.
Thanks
Hi,
The latest update contains mainly a fix for the theme lazyload, some new features and various minor fixes. So everything else should be same as before. On our end the font settings work properly in Gutenberg
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KbaYUr2UaKLl
What exactly is happening on your end? Could you provide some screenshots with these issues? Worth investigating plugins if you did not already. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
In almost all cases this issue has been solved by entering the code provided in the theme requirement guide at the bottom, in the htaccess file
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Be sure to check the rest of the guide carefully, if there insufficient resources there may be problems using the theme and theme plugins properly.
Please let us know if you have more questions, or you need further help.
Thanks
Big grid 3 cannot be stretched. The predefined grids (1->12) will always look the same
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
There are full width grids which can be stretched (10 types)
Also there are flex grids which have a big amount of customization options
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VkZyno8D0
So full width grids and flex grids can be stretched according to the row stretch options. Predefined grids cannot.
Hi,
I see that there are many categories excluded from the block you mention, additionally it is filtered by a specific tag slug
– https://www.screencast.com/t/SjCvVPSWa5
Are you sure that there are later posts by publish date according to this filtering? meaning not in those excluded categories and with the same tag.
Thanks
Hi,
The new theme update should solve all the previous lazyload issues. We made modifications to this feature to ensure that it does not fail anymore.
After you update to 9.2.1 please clear all caching including browser cache.
@tecniconapoletano I see the website uses 9.2.1, the images are displayed
– http://prntscr.com/luij6k
Let us know if you still have problems after you update, provide links to the website if possible.
Thanks
Hi,
The latest articles will always display the same number of posts across all pages when using the pagination. So displaying a specified number of posts in the first page and infinite loading in the second is not possible.
I can’t think of a way something like this could be achieved unfortunately. Sorry fro the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
Surely this can be clarified. We provide in the theme package two page builders. The tagDiv composer which is created by us specifically for the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Also the WPBakery page builder, former visual composer. We recommend our composer, since many of the theme features will work only with it, or are designed for it. This is the case for the cloud library plugin for example
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
These two composers are provided in the plugins folder of the full theme package
– https://www.screencast.com/t/LTdkhiyulEr
Many of the theme plugins including the tagDiv composer can also be installed from the theme plugins panel here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/LTdkhiyulEr
If there is still a message mentioning that the tagDiv composer is not active, then maybe you have installed WPBakery and not the tagDiv composer. Please check again and let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
The tagDiv composer can handle theme elements such as blocks, grids and a few others. But if your pages contain specific WPBakery elements like masonry, accordion tabs etc these will not be rendered and they will appear as shortcodes, if WPBakery is inactive.
Also if you used custom row layouts as WPBakery supports for example, there may be problems with the layout.
Maybe consider making a copy or clone of the website (local or in sub-domain) and test there. Deactivate WPBakery and check what happens. This would be better than testing on the live website. Use the duplicator plugin for example
– https://www.shoutmeloud.com/migrate-wordpress-server.html
Thanks
Hi,
@Rudy Rodriguez After the users reported problems with the images in 9.2 we made some modifications to the theme lazyload and updated the theme to 9.2.1. This should solve the lazyload issues.
Please update to the latest version, let us know if this solves the problem.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, if there is no featured image set the them will display a placeholder image (no thumb)
But this will not take categories into account, maybe if you create conditions and also additional images
– https://www.screencast.com/t/S7yh3Q2gvuaa
I believe this may not be easy.
By default it would be simple, if the post has no thumb, module loads a no thumb placeholder of the appropriate size.
Some users that installed the theme and had multiple old posts with no featured image, reported that they used a plugin (auto post thumbnail I think) to automatically use the first image found in the post content as featured.
However I don’t know if that plugin works or not with the theme properly, just thought of mentioning it.
Thanks
Hi,
So you want to hide the views only on mobile. I could give you a code for this
.td-post-views {
display: none;
}
If you don’t use the mobile theme plugin, enter it in Theme panel->Custom code->Advanced CSS section in the phones field.
If you use the mobile theme plugin, enter it in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom code CSS section.
Thanks
