Hi,
You can use any image you want, there would be no fixed or recommended sizes. For example the default demo uses this image size
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/mobile-bg.jpg (845×1334)
Another demo uses a different image size
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_craft_ideas
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_craft_ideas/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/3.jpg (667×1000)
Experiment with various image sizes until you get the needed result.
Hi,
That is quite an old theme version. It is good practice to keep WordPress, the theme and plugins up to date. The website security and functionality are directly affected by keeping everything updated.
This is the update guide mentioning all the update methods
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The FTP method is the most recommended and reliable way of updating a theme.
Be sure to review the theme requirements carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources will cause problems using the theme and plugins. Increase all the parameters as mentioned, ask the hosting provider for assistance if needed.
Also check the theme changelog to see what has changed
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 (bottom of page)
Thanks
You are using footer template 4 – https://www.screencast.com/t/1gixEqxC3Ff
In this example with the same footer template I first set a logo of 800×800 size
– http://prntscr.com/ke4t9w
In this example I set a logo of 16×16
– http://prntscr.com/ke4tgg
So it can be seen that the logo is displayed in the size I upload it in. There are no changes made to the image size, not stretched or reduced.
You are uploading this logo
– https://www.pakdefense.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/FOOTER-LOGO-183-X-183-150×150.png
When you should be uploading this one
– https://www.pakdefense.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/FOOTER-LOGO-183-X-183.png
Please again make sure you upload the logo image in full size, not a thumbnail of 150×150
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cNM3AT6dzr
– https://www.screencast.com/t/V4S3GqnlFVRo
Please see here – https://www.screencast.com/t/iKnqPzM6kX
And here – https://www.screencast.com/t/l2gAnrnCPj0
If the problem will present itself again send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can investigate.
Paste it in the page content – https://www.screencast.com/t/Gwoxb2tNNpm5
That page is an example, you can create your own using composer elements and woocommerce shortcodes.
The Woocommerce link provided above mentioned in detail all the shortcodes available and their parameters. You can create your own design, not necessarily how the demo page does it.
I must be misunderstanding something, those are the same for me
Header style 1 – https://www.screencast.com/t/ta55ks0Xj
Header style 2 – https://www.screencast.com/t/7f91Yjvl
How exactly do they look for you? I am comparing default header styles with no modifications and default demo installed.
The ads are still not showing, the only errors I see are related to mixed content
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1xW9rbHL
Those are probably related to custom fonts you uploaded in HTTP in the theme panel. There is another error mentioning a 404 on the jquery WordPress file, that could be solved by contacting the hosting provider.
The theme ad system is not complicated, the ad code has to be entered in the theme panel and the ads will be displayed. That is if the Google terms are met and the ads are served on their side
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/76228?hl=en
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9724?hl=en
Have you tried placing an ad code directly in a post content or text element? If it’s not displayed there or anywhere on your site then the problem is that Google does not serve the ads anymore. These are common problems, something must have happened.
Try to create a topic in the Adsense forum if you did not already, and someone will probably take a look or have some idea
– https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/adsense
Those sections are predefined in the post template you use, so the about us text will have a title and the social links will have a title. This is where they come from
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jk1sHT1k
If you want to remove them you could remove the color code and let them be invisible like they were in the first place
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OStwFIeGp
The result would be the somewhat the same as with a display:none.
A link to the website if possible would be very helpful, so I can inspect the logo first hand. Post a link and I will take a look.
Are you by any chance using some language specific characters or other symbols in the sidebar name?
Try with a simple sidebar called “test” for example.
If that is not the case, try with all plugins deactivated and see if the same happens, leave only theme plugins active.
Also check the theme requirements guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If nothing works, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and cPanel if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Hi,
In this page you display the latest articles since you use the default blog page it seems
– http://vards.net/
There is no control over the posts displayed there.
If you were to create a page with and choose the latest articles template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TdIZ3g6uE
Then set that page as homepage
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
The result will be the same visually. But the difference is that you have control of what is displayed in the page.
The filter settings for the latest articles section are here for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Jo8bfFfjjdcN
Or here – https://www.screencast.com/t/QQoQiMvp
The latest articles section by default will show posts from all your categories. However it has the same filtering ans sorting as a block
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CdTQzkeqXjbP
If you don’t want posts from the “Coin Study” category in the latest articles enter the category ID with “-” before it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WG9ZlrVDit
Thanks
Hi,
What do you mean nothing happens, you change the page template and it is not applying? It would be unusual.
That is how the page template can be changed, it can be done in the composer directly or in the backend of the page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/clA8B3icrKp
Once you save or update the page the template you choose should apply. Try clearing the cache and also force refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R). Let me know if there is still a problem.
Thanks
Hi,
Seems there are problems with the theme functionality in your case. I would suggest that you reinstall the theme by FTP, use the latest version (8.8.2)
If you have a previous backup you could try and return to it, if you don’t reinstall the theme as mentioned.
The theme activation should not reset by itself, also theme panel settings should be saved in the database, no matter what would happen with the theme once it is reinstalled they will be loaded. If that is not happening then there could be problems with the database of your website.
Contact your hosting and ask them to check if there are any problems with it, or something unexpected happened with the server.
Also be sure to check the theme requirements guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thanks
Thank you all for the detailed explanation. I see it now, it is very unusual. I will make a note of it and pass it along to our developers so they can investigate and fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
From what I can see you removed it from all those pages, it is no longer displaying currently.
That could mean that you are uploading a thumbnail of the image, not the full size
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wnyzC6u0u
Hi,
It seems to be configured properly, try changing the user to a different one and see if that works. If it does switch back to the ID you want to use.
If there is still a problem, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. We will investigate. Also include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
I could take a look first hand, please provide a link to your website so I can inspect this.
Thanks
Hi,
The same filtering and sorting will result in the same posts being shown. If using such a filtering is required, also use the offset option
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/
Offset the second element by the number of posts displayed in the first, so that the second element will pick up where the first ends.
Thanks
Does that happen if you test in a new page? Also does it happen if you deactivate all your plugins (except theme plugins) as a quick test?
Could be a plugin or combination of plugins that is causing the error.
Hi,
This is unusual, what settings is the sidebar losing exactly? You mean the widgets you enter and configure are reset for some reason, their settings are lost?
Is it happening in pages, posts or everywhere you set a sidebar?
Not all modules display a read more button, they are not supposed to. There is a list of the modules that have a read more button here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/read-more-button-either-missing-or-not-supported-with-voice-report-install/
Shortening or removing the excerpt will not cause a read more button to appear. If the module is supposed to display the button, it will display it regardless of excerpt settings.
Hi,
I could remove the margin set there – https://www.screencast.com/t/I8leqn1QrBbw
But you also have some invisible titles there
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fBXaEyxC
These seem to have the same color as the background so they are invisible. I believe they take the color set here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3Sh9MCYS8WsM
I could include a color change in the code if you don’t want to change the footer background or that setting
– https://www.screencast.com/t/kV5lLFQx
Use the codes if you wish, enter them in the phones section if you want them to apply only on phones
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IspRbg9j
.td-footer-bottom-full .td-pb-row>div {
margin-bottom: 0;
}
.td-theme-wrap .td-footer-bottom-full .block-title > span {
color: #ffd100!important;
}
Thanks
Hi,
The theme grids and most blocks are predefined, so they will always look in one way only. All types can be seen here
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
The exception are flex blocks, these have a considerable amount of options to modify even the slightest thing. A single flex block can look in endless ways
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/
Try to experiment with a flex block, see what can be achieved with it. .
Thanks
Hi,
What animation would that be exactly? There aren’t many differences between header styles 1 and 2. The positions of the menu is different, but that would be all I believe.
Thanks
