Hi,

Those are shortcodes. Please update the theme plugins, this should be done after each theme update. You can update them in the newspaper plugins panel
http://prntscr.com/nuujj9 There should be an update button for each of them.
Then there should be no more shortcodes, instead there will be elements.

Thanks

Hi,

From what I can see it is as follows. The first Instagram section is the one coming from the theme panel footer Instagram – http://prntscr.com/nuuf9g If you want to remove this one it can be disabled there.

The second one is coming from the footer page, in this case you can remove it by editing the footer page – http://prntscr.com/nuugiu with the composer and removing it and build the footer page with the elements you want. Or disable the footer page entirely and select a footer template – http://prntscr.com/nuuhbi
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/

If you have more questions let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

All the demos are included with the theme, there are no restrictions. So you can install the demo you want – https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/

Hi,

That solutions in that topic should fix the title issues after the latest update. Sorry for the inconvenience.
For child theme users, making the modification mentioned above in the functions file of the child theme will solve an issue when having the child theme active will cause problems. The child theme in the 9.7.3 package contains this modification.

@PrateekBiyani
If you don’t have a backup or the previous theme package, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will provide it to you. Also if possible mention what issues you are having after the update regarding the post layouts, maybe there is an issue, if there is we will fix it. Please let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

I will try to help you.

1. The header style you mention will look like this when on mobile
http://prntscr.com/nuszle
To see what the sticky mode will show on mobile, activate the sticky view mode
http://prntscr.com/nut0qz
So you can edit the header in all it’s stages, default desktop + sticky desktop, and also default mobile + sticky mobile. In each you can make modifications if needed.
What exactly is hidden in your case? Let me know.

2. If you don’t want the text as logo on mobile, and wish to display an image, first select the mobile viewport and click on the header logo element
http://prntscr.com/nut3yj
Then remove the text and tagline text, and select to show the image logo (you have to upload an image) – http://prntscr.com/nut86c

3. As long as there are elements in the sticky mode, there will be a sticky version of the header. If you want to remove the sticky version, activate the sticky mode for desktop or mobile and remove the elements in the header. So for example if you don’t want a sticky header on desktop – http://prntscr.com/nutaje

4. Same here, remove the text and tagline text, select the show image option, and upload an image – http://prntscr.com/nutbop

If you have more questions let me know.

Hi,

So a page where you can list the authors of the website, you could use the author elements
http://prntscr.com/nusjys
Or maybe use other elements to present authors, like text and image elements, these will have to be configured manually (enter text, images, links to author pages etc)
http://prntscr.com/nuslg3
Or even the testimonial element – http://prntscr.com/nusmao

But most of these will not be automatic, so new authors won’t appear in the page unless the page is edited and modified accordingly. I believe only the authors box will display authors automatically when they are added.
For searching through authors there would be no element suited for it.

So while individual author pages can be designed more easily, that is not the case for a page where all the authors would appear, also automatically when new ones are added, with search capabilities.
Maybe something like this could be done with a plugin that would allow such a functionality, if there are such plugins. I can’t make any recommendations unfortunately.

If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

There is a problem in the latest update with the titles, maybe that is causing the problem in this case.
Please try the solution from this topic and then check if the title issue is solved
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/help-after-updating-to-9-7-3-on-the-website-all-titles-were-gone/

The description will be the one that is created automatically, or a more specific one that you can enter for each post in the Yoast settings – http://prntscr.com/nuscl2
https://yoast.com/meta-descriptions/

Hi,

From what I can see it seems to refer to the AMP logo image in general
http://prntscr.com/nurzpk
So using a logo with 60px height should work alright. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, if there are more details about this that I am missing please let me know.

Hi,

The Google fonts will load as long as they are enabled in the theme panel. If you want to disable the requests that the theme makes for the Google fonts, disable them here
http://prntscr.com/nursg3
Then only your uploaded fonts will load. Note that some plugins may also request fonts, not just the theme.

Hi,

If you use a child theme from previous theme versions, there could be an issue. In the latest theme version 9.7.3 there was a modification made to the child theme functions file – http://prntscr.com/nurl7z
You could edit the child theme functions file and make the modification as mentioned in the screenshot. Then there should be no problem. Please let us know.

Hi,

It is true that such a setting does not exist at the moment. I could add your request on our list, an option may be added for the cloud template post next/prev element, in future updates. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi,

From what I can see the extra heading could be coming from the footer description field
http://prntscr.com/nurdv9
So you could check there, to see if the heading is entered there for some reason
http://prntscr.com/nurenz

Hi,

Depends on what post templates are used. For example in a cloud post template it is a matter of placing both the date and the modified date elements in the template
http://prntscr.com/nur719
Here are some cloud post template examples created by us, which can be imported
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

For the predefined post templates however it would be difficult, it will require code modifications to the post templates which are now in the tagDiv composer. So any modification made to them will have to be remade after a theme update.

Thanks

Hi,

You can do that in the theme panel block settings, there is an option for it now
http://prntscr.com/nur4oo
So if the post has no featured image set, the image you set there will be used.

Hi,

You could use the classic editor – https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/ instead of Gutenberg. WordPress will still provide the classic editor for the time being, so they don’t force the usage of Gutenberg. With the classic editor the gallery provided by the theme will work.

Using Gutenberg you can still use the tagDiv gallery, but only in a classic element
http://prntscr.com/nur3l1

Hi,

1. Set the sidebar in the page while editing it with WPBakery. Split the row and add a widget sidebar element
http://prntscr.com/nuqzrv
Here is a small guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

2. I have seen some user using add-ons for WPBakery, these may work or not however. We haven’t made any tests with add-ons for the plugin, so I can’t say for sure.
Maybe they provide a refund in case there are problems, or maybe there is a testing version or limited period of time before actually purchasing.

Thanks

Hi,

From what I can see the full image is available, but when the image is clicked there is an extra parameter in the URL. So while the link to the full image is set properly
http://prntscr.com/nuqrsx
Clicking on it produces this URL – http://prntscr.com/nuqrzm which does not exist.

I have tested this on my end after the update, the modal seems to work same as before
http://prntscr.com/nuqsdj

There are some topics online mentioning such an issue, with “undefined” being added at the end of the URL, can’t say if this applies here or not. For example
https://techjourney.net/undefined-appended-to-url-causing-404-page-not-found-error/
You could try as a quick test, to deactivate all non-theme plugins, see if it works after doing this.

Thanks

@Patres10 I see you reverted to the previous theme version at the moment. We made more tests on our end to try and recreate the issues you were having when updating from 9.7.2 to 9.7.3, but we couldn’t.
If you have a testing environment with a copy of the website maybe you could test the update there instead of the live website, to try and identify the problem.

@tucko68 Looks alright at the moment, using the latest theme version
http://prntscr.com/nuqo46
If I misunderstand something let me know.

Hi,

I tried using the widget per language settings, seems to work fine. I use the latest theme and WPML version (http://prntscr.com/nudhsj)

Maybe the problem is with the content you enter in the widgets. Try as a test to remove the current widgets and enter a simple block for example, set to appear by language. Check if that works, if it does the problem might be with the code used.

Thanks

Hi,

@Patres10
I suggest that you update the theme plugins as a first step, from what I can see there are shortcodes in pages – http://prntscr.com/nud8lt
Then clear all caching installed, especially the autoptimize cache. I see some unusual CSS being loaded which should not be there, for example – http://prntscr.com/nud9sw

@erval
Please provide a link to where I can see the problem after the update. Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

That would be here now – http://prntscr.com/nud6ha in the composer plugin. You could change the language there if this is required.

Hi,

Depends on what you mean by different template/design. Each page can be built in it’s own way with the composer, so it can be different. Each page can have it’s own menu as well, simply select the cloud header template you want (from the ones you have built/imported)
http://prntscr.com/nucx35
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

In the cloud library we provide pages and homepages used in demos, check them out here
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Pages
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Homepages
Maybe you find one that you like and import it, then configure it or modify it, as a quick start. If you have more questions let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

What you want to do is possible, just needs an extra step. Despite hiding the sidebar column on tablet landscape, the remaining column will not auto center itself or adjust it’s width. It will remain in it’s initial position and width – http://prntscr.com/nucu6f

Try to select the column and set a width for it, to occupy the full space
http://prntscr.com/nucvis
As a result, the sidebar column will be hidden on tablet landscape, and the remaining column will occupy the full available space. This should work, you can give it a try.
