Unfortunately no plugin was tested in this matter. As for the filtering, Our developers are working on refreshing this feature. Now if you choose Category and Tags, it will actually narrow your results, when it should expand the options. If you set a category and a tag, it will only show the posts that have that tag in that category.

Please send us a screenshot of your System Status Tab and make sure that all the requirements are met as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ; You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also you can try and remove and re-install the tagDiv Composer plugin and please send us a link to your website in order to take a look.

The issue above was because the code was not properly inserted in the column text element: You can use the column text element in order to render shortcodes or use HTML codes.
Simply copy the shortcode and insert it in the text area of the column text as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/UEMEsVKog
