Your theme is really great and more since the v6.
It is really cool for sites for lot of articles and works fine with Google ads for example.
However adblockers are used more and more.
I know some very big french sites where more than 40% of the people have one! 🙁
It means it is more and more difficult to earn money with advertising.
So we have to find other ways to make money.
Premium site options is an option.
Shop with some exclusive stuffs (PDF, video, goodies…) is another.
Like most of the site, we use WooCommerce for this part.
Even the theme is compatible, it is really the minimum.
I notice that other themes work hard to propose cool functions on the shop part.
Example on Sahifa (another magazine theme like Newsmag):

It would be very cool if you add a lot of those features on the next updates.
For my point of view, here a list of importants things to add, in order of interest:
1/ Have an interactive basket shop icon meaning when I add elements in it, on top of the site the icon change and indicate the exact number of products I added.
2/ When I put the mouse on this basket icon, it would be cool that a block appear with the details products I add
3/ Heve a dynamic filter by price in AJAX (without reload the page)
4/ Have a sort option (price, name, newest, popular…)
5/ Maybe in the article detail have a more cool presentation of the images meaning using scroll ?

I don’t know if it coming from the theme or WooCommerce. 🙂

As my elvinf I already point the compatiblity with the WP Retina plugin.
With a world surfing more and more on phones with high DPI (for example my LG G3 have a 4K sreen!), I think it is essential that our site look good on these devises.
Your theme is very beautiful and allow us to present best photos we have in our articles.
Too bad if on the phones the images not look perfect as on the destokp.
Really hope your consider this point of view and integrate this compatibiltiy or better, like your did for the logos, work on the fact the theme manage the retina display alone without plugin.

In reference to the category pages, for the sorting order drop down box, would it be possible change the default sort order? For example, I would like the default to be Popular (last 7 days) as compared to Latest.
If not, could I request this as an update from the next Newspaper 6 release?

Yes, it is good for Seo to have h1 to the page, but it is not necessarily to be the page title. You can add a h1 title and some content in a text block for example anywhere on the page.

Under the IE 10 browser and Firefox v40 is bug display posts featured image using STYLE 6 or STYLE 7.

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t any features like you want so you have to use a plugin shortcode or customize them via custom css like you already said and add it to you post content. You can also take a look to Formats(where you set the quotes) and you have there an option to highlight the text for example, but the same if you want more you will have to stylish using css code. I have added your request to our list and the developers will take a look on your request.

The theme ad system was not been designed to work like this and you will need custom modifications to achieve this, I suggest to hire a professional to do this for you as we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time, sorry! How do I set the site default to only show unique articles on all pages/posts? For example, I have a post which shows that same post in the sidebar widget as well as the footer widget, while the user is on the post.

Hi, I have both Newspaper and Newsmag on different sites, very nice themes.
Is there any way to easily use one of the post templates (for example loop-single-x) for the page template as well? My only big complaint about these themes is how few options there are for page customizations. Thanks!

I am trying to have a box inside the post where I can type. Right now, I am using QUOTE BOX Center for that. But it is always aligned to center. Can I align that to left and change the font from italic to regular. If you have any CSS for that, then it will be nice.

Is there a way to have a block where it generates content based on a media category filter? For example, I have editorial cartoons and I would like to have a gallery that is automatically populated if I categorize those media files under the media category Editorial Cartoons. I have it set up now and the media category is #82. But when I set the filter on the Slider element block nothing appears.

Images used on modules are cropped to fit the thumb size and depending by image aspect ratio the result can be different. The theme use center-top cropping system, but if you want you can modify it if you want, here you can find more details about cropping – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/ You have to do some tests and see what aspect ratio to use, depending what blocks/modules you use most as like I said there isn’t an ideal image size so it can look good on all thumbs.

Yes, I used your solution and it was great until I discovered that in my smart phone using Chrome, videos do not resize and it only shows half of it. However, when I switched to Firefox the videos look OK. I have now put back the original code and instead of 100%, I have specified 80%. But the problem is still occurring in Chrome on my smart phone.

Once I installed my News purchased newspaper theme, my Server is going bad. Firstly I had got a problem in wp-super cache plugin.
I removed it.
But, still, every time i want to update my website, getting error of memory allocation.
My Godaddy server shows 490 MB of 512 MB of Ram & 85% cpu usage. That too without users online for the website.
Now, when i am trying to update a post i can’t b’s of memory allocation issue.
Dashboard news show-
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 91 bytes) in /home/public_html/drbole.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 802
previously it was showing plugin.php memory allocation error.
Why this theme is using so much resources?

One question…using custom CSS from this forum I have changed the Big Grid article headings to a shadow opacity ‘block’ – but the headline text has shaded too, I need it to be white like before but I can’t find any other posts here that help?
Another post has the CSS I used and the example link has the opacity box but the text remained white. Can you help me with the colour element of the CSS
