Hi folks pardon my incredible terseness – but I’m so “newb” to site creation and WP that it’s just appallingly embarassing…I know how newbs can be a real nuisance – but I just need a little ‘boost’ here. I need a map.
I’m trying to slowly create a Newsmag themed site, and have been working basically 3-4 days straight adjusting settings, options etc. But I find myself ‘lost’ in that I’m not sure what “area” of a page is affected by a certain setting. Where IS the “heading” and the “main menu” etc. Well those I know…but for example fonts are driving my bonkers, b/c there are probably 100-ish font settings but I’ve got no way to determine what’s what without changing one single font entry at a time and then going back and forth, go into the site, see what font changed, go back etc etc. I’ve done about 10 and it takes me about 30 minutes per each font line item to figure out what/where it is, how it looks etc.
Anyway I’m basically exhausted at this point and hoping there is some “blueprint” or area that shows in almost ‘idiot cartoon’ form with numbers and arrows “this is the header this is the post title this is the block module” etc.etc. and I’ve gone through every page of the documentation and there’s not a single diagram that simply says whats what and where comprehensively.
In medicine this would be “anatomy” – arrow to liver, arrow to spleen, arrow to diaphragm etc.
Without some sense of whats what and where what is, I literally will be at this for a good 3-4 years before I figure out what each setting affects. To that end if there is a blueprint/”anatomy” map (channeling Nader here) someone can point me to I’d be so grateful – I’m trying to do surgery and have no idea what the Newsmag anatomy is or where to find it. And it’s exhausting 4 days into it 😐
Thanks. Sorry for being a newb I realize web creators/experts know every bit of whats what but I’m just flailing. The endless ‘fonts’ setting area just totally demoralized me – complicated by the fact that there is no reference to what each font looks like so except for regular fonts, it’s a total crapshoot.
I just think there must be a map or diagram to make this easier to navigate for non-experts.

* Clear Redis cache on server
* Purge all CDN data

Hello, recently we tried upgrading the theme to 7.5 so that then we could upgrade it to 7.6, problem is that block_16 and some others changed its style as you can see in the imgur album below
As you can see the block (in that case its block 16) lost its style.
How can we go about reversing this issue?

When I turn related articles off, then it is ok.
I had similar errors on VC blocks. But that was easy to fix. Just delete the block>save/update>add the block again.
Result: all good
I’ll downgrade to 7.0 for now just in case.

I need help Theme panel does not respond. Change the settings of the header, blocks settings (Meta info on blocks, for example) but nothing works. Nothing changes …
Always save settings, but when I return to the setting it has not been saved.

Hmm… I must be doing something wrong. I’ve added a custom class of rbrlock to the ROW that I’d like the icon to show on.
Then I’ve added this into my Custom CSS tab:

No luck. Also tried removing the Custom Class from the row and placing it in the Column or even the particular text block, still no luck.
If I inspect the code there doesn’t appear to be any addition of the span:after{ CSS code…
Is there a way I can PM you my staging site to see if I’m simply screwing something up? 🙂

– increaded WP_Memory_limit to 256MB
– PHP memory_limit: 256M
– post_max_size: 50M
– max_execution_time: 180
– max_input_vars: 5000
Then I tried adding the Pure HTML block again, but after saving the page, it was not there anymore. Any other ideas, please?
i mean me need add 100000 posts to my site and display these records in the block 4, its possible? How many entries can display in Block 4?

I use the Autoptimize Plugin. I tried Speedbooster but it’s complex and it also gave me 16 instances of where JS/CSS were blocking.
When I conducted the test after the 7.6 upgrade, I was slower and no longer in the green on Google
Much of the issue has to do with Google Fonts. When I did test on Pingdom, it said that Is should combine files
From Pingdom:
“There are 4 CSS files served from fonts.googleapis.com. They should be combined into as few files as possible.”
I am not advanced. How can I resolve this?

A few days ago I tried making a change to a page, created using Visual Composer. The changed was adding a picture to a carousel. However, despite all my efforts, the new picture would simply refuse to appear – both on the actual website and in the admin panel.
Yesterday I updated Newspaper to the latest version which comes with VC 5.0.1. The problem persists. Today I tried to update another page by adding a block of pure HTML. Clicked save, the page reloaded and the block was not there.
Running: WordPress 4.7 (256 MB memory limit, PHP 7.0, PHP Post Max Size: 16MB, MySQL 5.5.52)
WP Super Cache – Caching disabled
CloudFlare – Development mode ON
Do you have any idea what might be causing this behaviour?

To change the font color and background color of the respective category tags, in Big Grid 3 and Block 19 please enter this code in Custom Css(Please change the fonts as you desire)

If you want to target all the category tags just use this

Why Newspaper child theme sometimes does not overwrite parent theme (in “includes\wp_booster” directory)?
For example –
files overwritten by child theme:
themes\Newspaper\includes\shortcodes\td_block_1.php
themes\Newspaper\includes\block_templates\td_block_template_1.php
file not overwritten by child theme:
themes\Newspaper\includes\wp_booster\td_block.php
