Hello BeneefUS,
The number of displayed posts can be changed from panel like this -> http://screencast.com/t/MBD6lx0432 and also, from each block in Block Settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/eYCSacjT
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please provide a link so we can inspect this and see if we can provide some css to adjust the block 15 design.
Or if you want to change the Related Articles functionality, you can change the code something like this – http://screencast.com/t/jZPjDC4ukr
'category_id' => '1'
Add your own category ID to the above code(1 is just an example). Also you can control the articles number from Theme Panel > Post Settings – http://screencast.com/t/v4rIDtWKVycH
I recommend to backup your file before any change, so you can revert in case that something goes wrong.
Thanks!
Hi,
1. A. Open your homepage in the Edit Page section like this – http://prntscr.com/djak7x
B. Scroll down to the Visual Composer editor and select the row containing the Big grid block http://prntscr.com/dk2msh
C. In Row Settings -> General -> Row Stretch, select Stretch row. Then, just bellow check the Full height row box – http://prntscr.com/djan7m
D. Go to Design Options, next to the General tab and choose the color you want for your background – http://prntscr.com/djao7x
The result is like this http://prntscr.com/dk2nfm
2. Newspaper theme has a fixed width of 1068 pixels(content), that was the way it was designed.
3. When you set a background color or image, the theme automaticaly becomes boxed https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/. The only way is to remove your background and
choose a Full Header style – http://prntscr.com/dk317u
4. Add this code(edit the padding and font size as you like) in the Theme panel->Custom Css
.td-load-more-wrap a {
padding: 20px;
font-size: 20px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
I have a warning.

I’ve tried that
I did the steps you show on that documentation and still doesn’t work
When I post an article I want the articles to appear on those blocks and they don’t update
I have same articles I had when I post my first article
Tried using the grid slider with the visual composer and it doesn’t slides on its own, even after setting the amount of slides and the auto play feature within “x” seconds… how do i do that?
and how can i close the gap within the menu bit and a block, i put a slider as the first element on the website and there is a white space between the slider and the menu, how do i remove it?
Can i set flags on the top menu for language translation? i see that in order news sites…
Hello RaymondB,
Provide your website URL where you have Block 16 so I can take a closer look. Also, you can provide some useful screenshots where you see the problem.
Thanks for the message!
Great theme, easy to set up. Only problem is that it is generating a lot of images. Every time I upload one single image it makes several others of different sizes for different sliders, featured posts etc.
That being said, even though my website only has about 190 posts, i’m already at almost 13,000 inodes and at this rate my hosting provider will send me a notice in the near future. I looked through functions.php to see if I can make it stop creating images that I will never use such as sizes 341×400, 511×400, and 537×360, as I only use a few of the theme’s blocks. I haven’t been successful yet. Is there a way to make the theme less bloaty when it comes to images?
Thank you
Hello rodrigobernardino,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option for it, sorry! The theme only renders the video or playlist which you will add to the block. If you want to develop this feature, you should make some additional customization through the code and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Regarding on comments, you can disable from panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/CRWufflCuId -> http://screencast.com/t/vHstOecpdz -> http://screencast.com/t/TqkmaHVK -> http://screencast.com/t/JXUdM7to
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The slider you have on homepage is not a tagdiv element and I’m not aware of it’s settings. If you want you can use iOS Slider – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ios-slider/ and please check the block settings tutorial to configure it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thanks!
Hi,
You can use the tagdiv blocks on post pages, they should work properly. The problem is that if you use Visual Composer on post, some post features may not work(for example modal image, articles ads..). The Visual Composer was initially designed as a pagebuilder(default wordpres pages) and it is treated the same by us and we recommend to us it on pages, but you can use/try it also on posts and see how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi,
The featured image appear on modules and also on post page, there is no solution to set 2 images.
A solution can be to set a featured image on your post which will appear on blocks/modules and add an image into the post content which will appear on post page. Then you can set post style 5 for this post so the featured image will not appear on post page – https://forum.tagdiv.com/default-post-templates/
Thanks!
Hi Catalin,
Installing via FTP appears to be working so far. The grid is now formatted on my home page. I’m going to continue to edit the site over the weekend.
I am still have some issues with images. Not all but some.
–> I’ve noticed that they don’t seem to fit within the Newspaper7 thumbnails. For instance, if you look at the grid on my homepage, for the article about “essie nail…” you can only see the top of nail polish. In my old them, the entire image was in the thumbnail.
–> Also in the grid, there is a column of gray space for the lipstick image. Is there anything can be done to get the image to fit entirely in the square?
Finally, when extracting from the Zip files, I came across the following. I hit skip but is this a problem?
Error 0x80010135: Path too long
1. td_thumbs_on_modules_and_block.php
2. td_get_category_section_by_id.php
3. td_get_cpt_settings_by_post_type.php
4. td_get_tax_settings_by_tax_name.php
5. td_get_font_section_by_section_id.php
6. td_translations.php
Thank you so much!
Hello RichardU,
Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
input[type="submit"]{
background-color:red;
}
.block-title > a, .block-title > span {
font-family: 'Open Sans', arial, sans-serif;
background-color:red;
}
The result -> http://screencast.com/t/6N4yOyPvP
Thanks.
4. Is there a way to make the “load more” button at the bottom of the block bigger?
Hi, I have a few questions I did not see the answer to.
our site is: techdigg.com
1. How can we change the background color of the entire block. Similar to Engadget where they have the same light gray all the way through the post on the front page.
2. Is there any way to make the entire usable space larger. For example, the white space that currently contains all the content of our space, is it possible to be wider? Its just a tight amount of space, especially when you have ad next to post content.
3. Is there a way to make the menu bar go all the way to the edge of the browser window?
Hopefully my questions make sense, thank you
You only answered the second issue. How come you didn’t respond about the first one? Anyway I will re post what the first issue I had a problem with below.
For Block 16 issue with no comment or date under thumbnail post [I’m not referring to a sidebar post]?
I re installed the theme via cPanel. I checked everything outlined in the screencast and everything is on so it should have been working. I even tested it by turning the author, date and comments off for blocks. It worked as all the Blocks on my homepage no longer had an author, date or comments. I turned it back on and the rest of the blocks author, date and comments display again except Block 16. I did everything you said still doesn’t make it work.
I have done the do_shortcode method and i used block 15.
Question: but how can i have the styling the same as the default related articles? My images are now to small and y have to munch white space. like this ->http://prnt.sc/djwae1
Another alternative for you would be to disable the Related Posts block and add in that section with do_shortcode method a simple block which you can filter it by latest articles from entire site and your problem will be solved. Also, you can give the similar name to your block, like Latest Articles. As a hint, you can see here an example to post template style 1, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Ns3rVIIf
Can you also guide us how to increase the width of the website?
No.

Hello m0re,
If you want to add a banner ad to the bottom of every post, you should use the Article Bottom Ad from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/DhN8lfvZ Also, if you want to add more than one Advertisement here, you should edit the post template core file used by you and there you should use the do_shortcode method. For example, if you are using the post template style 1 you should edit the loop-single-1.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Wfrwhqhcivz and the result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/x7B3BCZQDgQ
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]‘); ?>
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"]‘); ?>
here you shoudl add your code for custom Ad 1 and Custom Ad 2, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/y0ipBDeG3i
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
I understand good. Many of my plugins aren’t test on you them but:
– I found the problem about client login on your top bar. Woocommerce is the problem. When i desactive the plug, i can see my account. When i active, link is on shop. On your commercial, you said compatible woocommerce.
So what is the problem?
– For picture, you didnt look my link, it’s not instagram block. It’s block IMAGE BOX Have a look here:
End of this page: https://aitoguerrierdupacifique.com/aito-tatau-tatoueur-marquisien-sur-hyeres/
These picts (The 3 horizontal picts)-> http://i64.tinypic.com/2vnl0fk.jpg
When i click on picture, it linking to start of the page. Not appears on lightbox?
Thank you.
Regards
Sébastien
Hello sebdicam,
Please keep in mind that the default behavior of the theme when you click on my profile in the top bar is to link you to your author page. I do not know why you will be redirected to the shop page. Do you have made any changes in this regard? Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and check the theme without any untested plugins to rule out any conflicts.
For your second request, I suppose that you are referring to the Instagram Block which is added in the bottom of the page, right? So, please notice that these featured images will not be loaded in the light box because all of them come from Instagram and will be displayed there.
Thanks.
Hi,
Like I said above, most probably you use a predefined footer template and to modify those blocks/widgets you will need to alter the code.
A more simple solution is to change the footer template from Theme Panel > Footer, for example you could use footer style 5 – http://screencast.com/t/sJeknDyds2Ld and add your own widgets from Widgets section – http://screencast.com/t/qdJZ04VqrltE and configure them like you wish/need.
Thanks!
Hello John,
Please provide more details about what kind of images you are referring to, featured image which is presented on modules and blocks or over the images from the post content? It is vital to specify these details because in our theme were made some changes only over the featured images and no for images in post content. Keep in mind that the theme does not affect the image from the post content. So, all of these will be displayed in its natural size. Please provide your website URL, also, provide some useful screenshots to identify where you see this problem so precisely, I will be able to provide a more accurate response, after a deeper investigation. It is likely to be a CSS code to stretch the image and that’s why to appear in blurry mode.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
1. If you want full header/footer display, do not set a background color or image. When you set a background the theme will automatically transform the site into a boxed version.
2. I guess you could use box-shadow effect – http://screencast.com/t/Nk6Slh0g4Kvv
.td-header-style-2 .td-banner-wrap-full {
padding-bottom: 20px;
box-shadow: 0 5px 20px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3);
}
3. You can easily set a featured image also for your pages, then it will appear there.
4. Exactly like I said above. Just change the page template to Default and set a block with infinite load pagination to display your Latest Articles – http://screencast.com/t/Ns18mEZCV – http://screencast.com/t/4se2LI9ruZ3
5. The modules are used to create blocks and also on loop templates. You cannot design your search template using Visual Composer and you cannot add blocks there. You can only change the module to display your articles – http://screencast.com/t/Rw3tAqoYj
6. Try this custom css:
@media(max-width: 767px){
.td-footer-wrapper .td_block_widget {
text-align: center;
}
}
7. Noted, I have added your request on our list.
Thanks!
