Still doesn’t work. Still can’t change the look of this block. Why?

I’m trying to get this working, I made a custom plugin following the documentation (https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-plugin-method/)

I copied the code for flex block 4 from td_config_blocks and put it into the plugin

        //hook used to add or modify items via Api
        add_action( 'tdc_loaded' , function() { //add the api code inside this function

            td_api_block::add( 'td_flex_block_4_custom',
            array(
                'map_in_visual_composer' => false,
                'map_in_td_composer'     => true,
                "name" => 'Flex Block 4 Custom',
                "base"                   => 'td_flex_block_4_custom',
                "class"                  => 'td_flex_block_4',
                "controls"               => "full",
                "category"               => 'Blocks',
                'tdc_category'           => 'Blocks',
                'icon'                   => 'icon-pagebuilder-td_flex_block_4',
                'file'                   => TDC_PATH_LEGACY . '/includes/shortcodes/td_flex_block_4.php',

I copied all the ‘tdc_style_params’ ‘tdc_start_values’ ‘params’ as well but don’t want to paste them here as they are very large.

I changed the parameters that seemed to need changing, by adding _custom ad the end of them. But kept all the code the same.

When I activate my plugin and try to load it in TD Composer it doesn’t load.

tdcJobManager.addJob - Error callback - textStatus: error errorThrown:
js_files_for_wp_admin.min.js?ver=e12b81d6cbdf467845997a891495df2cx:42 jobRequest {shortcode: '[td_flex_block_4_custom modules_category="image" m…xcerpt1="" show_excerpt2="none" hide_audio="yes"]', columns: 2, jobId: 1, postId: '40247', replyHtml: ''}
tdcJobManager.addJob - ERROR: 500 server error

I see in the logs this:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'td_flex_block_4_custom' not found
in public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_global_blocks.php on line 33

Any help getting this working would be appreciated.

I can use the following classes, but that will only affect the homepage, as the ids would be different on other subsites.

Hello Pratul!

Please check the settings and filters applied on your block on the homepage.
Yes, you’ll need Cloud Library plugin.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!

Hello,
This can be done only with custom css:
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-top-menu {
display: block;
}
.td-top-bar-container {
display: inline-flex;
}

Set the above code in the theme panel > custom code> advance css phone section.
I hope this will help you!

Hello Jordy,

The titles are not related to the category because there are set manually, you need to edit with tagdiv Composer, select the element and change the title -> https://i.imgur.com/Erd8lbG.png -> https://i.imgur.com/pGEWg5z.png
Also, you can apply filters on the blocks -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Here is a video that will show you how to use the builder to create a website from scratch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoGQ0d5kIBg to do this you’ll need to already have the posts.
Also, on our channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOT1RiNysIPCTPSnVZskwtQ, you can find more videos that can help you and documentation https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/ and you can ask us here on the forum or email if you have any questions.

Hello!

Try to disable the inline CSS and check after. (Theme panel -> Block settings -> Inline CSS) This was the only fix for optimization.

I hope that helps you!

Hello everyone,

I’m using the Newspaper Default Pro theme for my website, http://www.sydneyfocus.com, and I’ve encountered an issue with the homepage layout that I need help resolving.

Issue Description:
On my homepage, there are several sections with headings like “Don’t Miss,” “House Design,” “WRX RACING” etc., which are automatically populated with articles and are completely irrelevant to the categories and tags I have set up. They are nowhere to be found in the Bluehost categories/tags I’ve created, The articles displayed under these headings are often mislabeled or not relevant to the heading itself. For example, an article about local bushfires appears under “Make it Modern,” which is misleading and inappropriate.

What I Need help with:
I’m looking to adjust these sections so that they either display the correct articles relevant to their headings or remove/change these headings to better reflect the content being displayed.

What I’ve Tried:

-I’ve checked and correctly categorized my posts.
-I’ve explored the theme settings, including Template Settings, Block Settings, and Post Settings, but haven’t found a way to adjust these specific homepage sections.
-The categories are well-curated, and the issue seems to be with how the homepage pulls and displays these articles.

My Question:
How can I modify these specific sections/headings on my homepage to ensure they display the correct content? Is there a setting in the Newspaper Default Pro theme that allows me to control which articles appear under these headings, or a way to customize these headings to align with the content displayed?

Any guidance, tips, or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated, as I’m relatively new to this theme and want to ensure my site is as user-friendly and accurate as possible.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Jordy

The last time you sent me an email you didn’t ask for a follow-up you said you asked the developer for an answer and they have not gotten back to you. But I’m confused to that comment as aren’t you the developer? Here’s a copy of the email you sent me. It does not warrant a response because it says you’re working on the issue.

I also asked a developer to take a look, but at the moment I haven’t received any answer.

Thank you!

Hello @wordpressive!

The theme blocks are registered in td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php

Hi,

You can add an inner row and set the inner column sticky to have only that block . https://tagdiv.com/flexibility-rows-columns-newspaper-theme/

Thank you. Is it possible for you to show me where in the code Flex Block 4 was added/created, so I could copy/modify that code? I assume it uses this same API? I want to use it as an example to follow.

Hello Bettina,

The pages currently running on the website for the cart and checkout were not made with TagDiv Composer. They were made with WordPress’s own composer, as the TagDiv Composer was not able to pickup the payment options, but WordPress blocks were.

I’m sure you’ve also seen that the pages are not readable.

Can you advise on how to customize the WooCommerce blocks so that the text can be read?

Thank you!

Khalid

Hello!

Set up your thumbs from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Block settings -> Thumbs on modules/blocks. If you deactivate a dimension from there, next time when you will upload an image, it will not be resized to that dimension.
After changing the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/
NOTE: If the thumb specific for that block is not enabled, then the image won’t be displayed.

Hello,
Our theme do not have any option to block (not index) URL.
According to your screenshots appears this message “Googlebot blocked by robots.txt”, what you can do is to provide access for mentioned scripts, for this you can add an allow code in robots – https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-submitted-url-blocked-by-robots-txt-error/

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, creating a new page with the tagDiv Composer did not work as expected. Is there a way to create a new page directly in tagDiv Composer without going through the WordPress standard page editing interface?

When I create a new page, I usually transition from the WordPress block editor’s new page editing screen to the tagDiv Composer by clicking the blue button. The header and footer are already created and are visible in the tagDiv Composer. Even without adding any content, if I save the page, set it as the front-page, and then attempt to re-edit it, the same error message appears.

As I mentioned in my initial query, the issue persists even when creating the front-page from a Cloud Template. How can this be resolved?

I am not using the Classic Editor plugin or the Disable Gutenberg plugin.

Thank you for your assistance.
