Hi,

Unfortunately the category page template can’t be built via VC page builder therefore you can’t use blocks there as blocks can be added via page builder only or as widgets on sidebars.
You could do this by alter the category template and adding a condition as “when category X is called” your custom layout and blocks load instead of the loop posts or besides them. You can use the do_shortcode() functions to add the block on the category page and customize them via VC page builder.
Other way would be to use the page builder and create the page using VC then add a menu item and set the custom page to it.
Either way this would not be easy and you’d need custom modifications to theme’s code so I suggest you get a freelancer or hire a developer to do this for you if you don’t know how to do it by yourself.

Please also consider that unfortunately we recently have decided that starting with the next theme update we will not include rtl support within the theme. You can still use the theme as it is but unfortunately you cannot updated it as you will lose the rtl support or you can update it and make yourself the necessary adjustments needed.

Normally the styling options you’ve set in the WordPress Theme Customize or in the Theme Panel – those options will not be effected by updating your theme, only custom modifications to the theme’s files will be overwritten.
Please follow this guide if you want to update your theme and use FTP method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ also update plugins that come with the theme’s files from the /plugins folder.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no block/module to use with Visual Composer and to achieve what you wish. You would need custom modification for that to create a module/block or create a new one. On Newspaper version 5 will be added new blocks and also it will be more easy to create a new module/block(will be added new tutorials).
