Hello,
I have my website showing “coming soon,” however, I’m getting bombarded by subscribers that look like bots. How can I block these? Is there a captcha option with the subscription button? I’m not seeing one.
Thank you!
Kathleen
Hello!
I think there is a misunderstanding, because this block is not working as you think. It won’t show popular posts from every category.
Thank you!
Hello Mike,
The options from the Theme Panel are for the standard template, but you have a Pro Prebuilt website and this uses cloud templates, which can be edited with tagDiv Composer ->https://www.screencast.com/t/UeBGkaYuundl, go to the footer and select the element you want to edit => https://www.screencast.com/t/3vhZ5v4k and change the description.
The same steps are for all templates -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Our theme is a frontend theme for most of the elements and changes, you’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer to edit the pages and templates for posts/categories, etc => https://i.imgur.com/I3OUYxr.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/mMrEufY.jpg from the frontend, no in the code -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LDdokrHPl
Also, this is a video on how to change the logo -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
The theme accent color it only applies to certain elements, for example, to back to top button. You can copy and paste the style from one block to another.
You can use the Global Colors option from Manager -> Global Colors -> https://i.imgur.com/PM6VoBL.png
Thank you!
Hi,
For the moment the theme option for the lazy load doesn’t work on iframes, or embeds.
It is applied only to the featured image elements used on the theme.
Thank you!
I understand, usually on the mobile version the loading is slower because most of the time a mobile device has a slower internet connection.
What I can recommend is that you use flex block elements to use the cache option on the – https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/ and if the problem still persists, you can try using the mobile page template – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ using a mobile page template you can adjust the content, set smaller images to be used etc.
Thank you!
Hello,
if we set an offset (n+1 for each element) for the elements of a custom post type in random sort order it causes in duplicates (limit post number: 1).
Lets explain it in detail:
We set filter to show only a custom posttype named as “werbepartner1”.
Additionally we set a filter for a sort order : “Random Posts”.
Additionally we set a limit post number to “1” (only one element should be shown)
Additionally we set an offset for each element: n+1 (first element is offset 0, second element offset 1 e.g.)
We have to split this custom type elements. If we show the whole block without offset and limit post number it will work without duplicates, but this is not a solution. We need to devide each element of the custom type with an offset to set data between of this elements.
You can see it on the development site: http://dev.bwa-sport.de/

Thank you for your help in advance.
Kind regards,
Christian
Hi team,
Can you tell us how we can decrease the height of an element block (1)?

Hi,
When you are logged and the website is displayed correctly, then the problem is caused by a plugin conflict or a plugin for the cache Maybe your plugin for the cache is not compatible with the theme. I saw that you use Wp Rocket, you can try to exclude the following files
/jquery-?[0-9.](.*)(.min|.slim|.slim.min)?.js
/jquery-migrate(.min)?.js
/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
tdBlocksArray
Please do a test using only tagDiv plugins, and check after.
Thank you!
Thanks for the clarification @Anamaria !
As a side, can I use the block on a page that a user can access only on logging in?
>> what I mean to ask is, if I create a user-profile page, that a user can access on logging in, & add the block to a section called “My bookmarks”, is that possible? Will they still lose the bookmarks on clearing cookies?
Looking forward to understanding this. Please also let me know :
Can the new gallery feature (again, really cool, and I tried it on a template) be used to replace the TagDiv gallery inside posts?
Hello,
I said that you can create, not that the modules from Doctors will be there. You can create a module using this option -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/ and you need to use the Flex Block Builder and Flex loop Builder to show the modules -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-builder-flex-loop-builder/
Thank you!
Hi,
1.) Enable time ago is not working on Flex block 1 effectively. To get it working, I have to select Show modified date. But I want to use it with published date.
2.) On Single post template, Enable time ago on single post date doesn’t work at all — maybe because there’s no option for modified date.
3.) Lastly, there’s no option to append “ago” or any text to the module date shortcode in newly introduced module builder. I can choose the time ago option from the date format dropdown but it just shows 2 days, 5 months, etc wihtout adding ago. I can understand if it’s due to technical limitations or time constraints as the feature is rather new, but the two above have been there for quite some time.
Please look into it.
I upgraded to version 12.4 and I get HTML code when I access my website:
The site is: jaywalkingtheglobe.com
I get this if I access my site:
Home
[tdc_zone type=”tdc_content”][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content td-stretch-content”][vc_column][td_block_big_grid_fl_2 td_grid_style=”td-grid-style-1″ category_id=”13″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][/tdc_zone]
Also, I can’t access the website builder, there’s simply no option to use it to edit pages, I can only use WP and HTML. In other words, the theme is useless to me. Please help as this is an issue with the upgrade from 12.3. Thank you
Thanks @Bettina !
Just a quick question- as Anamaria mentioned this is based on cookies, does a reader stand to lose their saved articles if they clear cookies or something?
As a side, can I use the block on a page that a user can access only on logging in?
Hi,
Thanks for the answer!
Do you have some JS code to do this works with Flex Block, as an alternative?
Hello @theheritagelab!
You should use a block and check this option: https://prnt.sc/Lc8sAOIK14zl
The block will display only the saved articles.
Thank you!
Hello!
Please note that page speed or optimization is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Also, exclude those files
/jquery-?[0-9.](.*)(.min|.slim|.slim.min)?.js
/jquery-migrate(.min)?.js
/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
tdBlocksArray
Thank you so much for understanding!
I am using the Perfmatters plugin to disable the loading of a few scripts and CSS on my website. Here’s what I have disabled:
1. jquery-migrate.min.js
2. XML-RPC
3. underscore.min.js (I think it’s a WP core file, but I am not aware of its functionality. I disabled it, and
everything looked fine on the front end. So I kept it disabled. Should I enable if back?)
4. /wp-includes/js/comment-reply.min.js (please explain its functionality, and should I keep it disabled?)
5. /wp-includes/css/classic-themes.min.css
6. /wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/style.min.css
7. /wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/assets/css/tdb_main.css
8. /wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/assets/js/js_files_for_front.min.js
9. /wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/assets/js/js_posts_autoload.min.js
10. Global styles
11. dashicons.min.css
12. wp-emoji-release.min.js
13. wp-embed.min.js
My website: https://www.theunfolder.com/
I have disabled these files, and everything looked fine (by appearance). I didn’t notice anything different or odd. I just wanted to know if I have disabled the correct files or not. Or should I enable some files to load? I am not aware of the functionality these files offer as I am not a developer. But I would love to get an opinion on these optimisations. Also, can I unload any more files for speed improvement? Thanks in advance.
Hi,
The Flex Block doesn’t have this option, only the Slide block has -> https://i.imgur.com/nxwlJk6.png please try it.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes, we recommend flex blocks, instead of blocks 1-25;
Thank you!
I understood what MAG is trying to do. I want the same. We don’t need infinite loading, we want to use the NEXT/PREV pagination as the “slide” element works, where you dont’t need to click the arrows to the next slide, they move to the next post automatically.
I want the next posts in the “Flex Block” to appear automatically.

Hi, since upgrading WP to 6.2.1, the menu option Appearance/Editor is gone. I read that there is a new “Site Editor”, but I cannot see how to open that either. So I cannot edit the theme files now (I used to add a section to the guttenburg editor, so that the block quotes matched the site theme better).
Please can you let me know how to get Appearance/Editor back, or how to view Site Editor – if Newspaper theme supports it? Thanks.
@Ruffo I’m sorry to interfere
Try disabling wordfence for a while, it blocks saving changes.
We can solve the problem using flex block 1, so our appologies.
Kind regards
Ana Picado
We have created our main page in https://mifamiliaviajera.com with tag div composer and we use block 5 to display the last posts in our site. We can´t obtain sharpened images in our first page using this block, they appear blured, and we suppose there is an option to get the correct appearance or if it´snt possible tell us please with block is better to display sharpened images.
Kind regards
Ana
Hi,
Please try this code .td_block_slide .td-slide-meta a{
padding-top: 200px;
}
Thank you!
I migrated to the TagDiv Newspaper theme from another theme in Oct 2022. Since then, the broken link checker software I use (and tried others) cannot “break out” the HTML tag on their source page. Their response is that:
“Our Source Viewer highlights huge chunks of your HTML because all highlighted HTML tags reside in a single text line in your HTML file.
Apparently, your web developers made formatting changes recently and didn’t put separate HTML tags into individual lines anymore.
You may ask them if they can split those. Maybe it’s a simple config change on your side.
Our SourceViewer is designed to highlight one or multiple lines in an HTML file.”
Since this occurred specifically and only after migration to the Newspaper theme, I have to assume it’s related. Therefore I am looking for a setting in theme, post, etc., that will allow me to split HTML tags across the board. Can someone assist?
Thanks for your help,
Kevin
