Hello, I am attempting to set the white center block on pages to a semi-transparent black. I have found a user who was doing something similar here. https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/transparent-background-4/

I’m using the standard theme, not the black demo. So I’m not sure which code would be relevant. Would I be best off just switching to the black theme and copying this code? Ultimately I want a static background with the semi-transparent black, similar to his site.

Hi,
I received a message from one of my visitors that my website was showing a blank page for a few days. After he turned off Adblock Pro the site appeared like normal.
I found that Adblock’s EasyList was blocking ##.td-ad-background-link with ELEMHIDE, making my site load fine but making it look completely blank…
For now I’ve renamed the td-ad-background-link class in td_background_render.php and style.css, but is there a way to prevent Adblock from messing up the site completely when the background ad is blocked?

Hi,

So you want to add this feature for blocks/flex if is so then you’ll need to edit the files from wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/shortcodes -> https://www.screencast.com/t/JaegZuJr2

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

Glad it worked, that change in the code would be needed for other flex block types.

Hello,

Also please check for wordfence and put the firewall in learning mode (or disable any other firewall). This is the most common theme panel blockers.

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately, at the moment, the theme works only with the available AJAX filter options from block settings. If you want to change this functionality, you need to do it yourself through the code or if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Thanks.

Hello,

I’m not sure I understand properly regarding the header. Please provide a more explicit description of what you are trying to achieve with the header. Do thse options not provide the needed style? https://www.screencast.com/t/nq1QLIFNl0LJ – and font settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/oBBNnCr0

In order to change a block width, please use this option: https://www.screencast.com/t/9ejfiGjP

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately you can not filter in blocks after taxanomy, you can show theme in blocks and sort theme normally, but not after taxanomy
, sorry!

Thank you for your understandings!

Hi,

Then a CSS solution would work. For example a code like this will color all the excerpts for all blocks/modules at once – http://prntscr.com/mmovr4
Use the color you want in the code, then enter it in the custom CSS section of the theme panel

.td-excerpt {
color: black;
}

For the breadcrumbs try something like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/customizing-look-of-breadcrumbs/

Thanks

Hi,

On mobile the columns will fall one below the other, from left to right. So the left column will be at the top followed by the others below it.

Maybe this would be possible by hiding the blocks or entire row, and displaying a different row/content on mobile. A topic explaining the hide option

Thanks

Hi,

If you refer to blocks that can be set in wedges or with tagDiv Composer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4I9hei1nxX -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

If you want on category page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9glaovIXFPX7

Hi,

So if you are referring to this category on blocks -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lShKlnVuHK0 the will be show the category that is set as primary -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lShKlnVuHK0 for example lets change this primary category -> https://www.screencast.com/t/zYwVsBIZ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/IfpdDZtEm -> https://www.screencast.com/t/EMSqoRrU1e
So for your example you need to set the primary category magazine -> https://www.screencast.com/t/906ua1cq

Thank you!

Hi,

The images should be of the same size when displayed in the same modules. Maybe you need to regenerate, this is common when using the theme with existing (older) content
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

If the problem is of a different nature, please post a link to the website where this is happening so I can take a look.

Thanks

Hi,

The posts and pages would have to be present in the database in order for the theme to display them, in blocks for example. Maybe if all these domains share the same database, it would be possible
https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/76020/two-wordpress-sites-sharing-the-same-content
Or maybe duplicate the content on all installs – https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-post-duplicator/
Unfortunately we haven’t tested the theme in such an environment, I can;t say what would be the best solution.
Maybe some other theme users that managed to do something similar can share their solution.

Thanks

Hi,

I believe you are referring to the blocks as widgets – http://prntscr.com/mmlibu

When they are placed in a widget sidebar they will display like when they are being set in 1 column, so you can check them put here – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Switch through the blocks and see how they look in 1 column layout.

Thanks

thanks for the reply but this is not enough for me. I need different colors for each category. I’ve thought a different way to do that: to add the class nicename in the script that displays cats in flex blocks:

<?php if ($category_position == ‘above’) { echo ‘<div class=”‘ . get_cat_name( $cat_id ) . ‘”>’ . $this->get_category() . ‘</div>’; }?>

but I don’t understand why it doesn’t work.

Could you be so kind to give me a hint?

thank’s

Hello it worked I’ve only changed .td_flex_block_1 to .td_flex_block_4

Thank you

Hi,

By category it is not possible, by block it is possible. Flex blocks have an option to color the category tags – http://prntscr.com/mmjhoj
So you can color the category tags by specific block (flex block), not specific category.

Thanks

You are referring to the zoom effect when the big grid modules are hovered. That effect is specific to big grids, full grids and flex grids only, it is not available for other elements like blocks.

Maybe you could use a flex grid instead of a flex block. I could also give you a code you could try, for example this code will affect flex block 1, when hovered it will zoom the image

.td_flex_block_1 .td-module-thumb span:hover {
transform: scale3d(1.1,1.1,1);
-webkit-transform: scale3d(1.1,1.1,1);
-moz-transform: scale3d(1.1,1.1,1) rotate(.02deg);
transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out;
}
.td_flex_block_1 .td-module-thumb span {
transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out;
}
.td_flex_block_1 .td-image-container {
overflow: hidden;
}

Hi,

In order to set the capitalize Related Articles and more from author you’ll need to go in Newspaper>Theme panel>Translation write there the new translation -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Nj5Jk5Pq
for example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/2PwCjmb0 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/qKO5aflByh
In order to change the background color for those section you can use a custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iepCGlcoNA
.single .td-related-title .td-cur-simple-item {
background-color: red;
}
.single .td_block_template_1 .td-related-title {
border-bottom: 2px solid red;
}

Or you can use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library -> https://www.screencast.com/t/8DCyQ9kaSbZ

Thank you for your understanding!
